This restaurant has really came around from my last visit. They not only made sure I left full and happy but definitely left knowing I will be back!! We've been here a few times over the years. This last time the wait was disappointing - but someone had called in sick or late and they were understaffed. The food - the food was as tasty as ever. The meals are pretty big, and wonderfully spiced. I wasn't supposed to be eating chips & salsa when we were there, but I had to sneak a few in anyway, they were so good. Another awesome thing about them is lunch menu all day. So even though it was breakfast time, we didn't have to get Huevos Rancheros or other breakfast foods. Three hours after my meal and I'm still burping it up. It's been a long time since I've needed baking soda and water to cut the raunchy acid in my stomach that comes from old, low-quality cooking oil and poorly prepared food. Passable beans and rice, but the beans get worse with every bite, like something's there that shouldn't be there. Pointless chlli rellano with a paper-thin poblano and a gloppy sauce I won't even try to describe. Chili colorado sope with more pork fat than pork meat and, again, a sauce the flavor of which defied description--- what little there was of it, anyway, which may have been a good thing. The tortilla was almost good, but oh god how old was that grease they fried it in?? Thanks to their bumbling i got to see what their fish taco looked like, as I was handed the wrong order when I first picked it up. Super Friendly Service but the food just did not cut it. I had the Chicken Mole...not the best. The chips and salsa made up for the Chicken, but one can not live on chips and salsa alone. Walked over from Durango RV Park. Found the restaurant crowded. Interesting that we could never figure out who our waitress was as several kept asking us the same questions. We sat in front of the kitchen, avoid that if possible as it gets pretty hot and air flow is minimal. Chips were a bit old, but the salsa very good. Tried some different salsas at the salsa bar as well. Had the Molcajete which is kind of like a meaty stew. It was good but too much meat, not enough veggies for my taste, did not look anything like the picture at the front counter though. Interesting, but probably would not do it again. Went to a wedding banquet last night. It was a mini buffet with limited items. Food had been out awhile. No corn tortillas or taco shells, only flour and the were,stuck together. The room has no windows and the acoustics are not good. Get more than a few people and before you know it everyone is yelling. I called this location to discuss the indoor experience in reference to COVID-19. I spoke with a guy to ask if they are serving at full capacity or if they have restrictions on capacity indoors. He told me to call back Monday to speak with the manager and abruptly hung up on me. This is no way to talk with a customer who is seeking to dine at there location. I normally don't enjoy Mexican food, but after my family's plans for a gathering got screwed over by another restaurant, they welcomed in our very large party of 18 people by opening up their banquet hall which, according to the signs outside, is usually only for reservations. However, they showed that this truly is the season of giving and now I'm on this site to give thanks. As they have saved out holiday family gathering. The several hours that people had to drive now are not for nothing. I cannot express how truly grateful I am that they were willing to accommodate us on such short notice. 10/10! This is our " go to" restaurant. Anytime family comes to visit, we have to go to Mariachi's multiple times during their stay. Want a sit down dinner but don't want to cook? Mariachi's is always our first choice. The staff are great, the food wonderful. My only wish is that they would soften the acoustics in the banquet room. Campechana ( sp?) Is my current fave, also the Mariachi's salad is good. It's on the vegetarian menu, but you can ask for some chicken on it if you like. Now I'm hungry. Mariachi's for lunch! read more

I have frequented this restaurant at least five times. Each time was a very good visit except for the last. They have chose to do a buffet style in their new addition. Each buffet cost close to $11. The food was absolutely horrific and very limited on choice. Stay away from the buffet!! read more

Food was great and came fast. Would love to go again but may just order it to go. The waitress with the long blue nails was nice at first but then completely ignored us after asking for a refill. Among the best carnitas I've ever had. Service can be Okay but sometimes requests can be completely ignored. I asked for no ice in my drinks which is usually ignored, I also ask for queso fresco or cotija instead of shredded Cheddar which is also usually ignored. It is so huge, you can only eat half and will have to take the rest home to eat later. Waitresses smile and greet you promptly. You are seated promptly.I have even seen the waitresses keep their cool while being nagged at by old farts that have nothing better to do then b**ch about food or drink ( I'm sure you all have seen the type). Then blamed me for leaving my silverware on the salad plate. Manager told my guest that I was disrespectful. I've been here two times and none of us are coming back.
