I've ordered from here a couple of times, using Grub Hub each time. I've never eaten at the location itself, so I can't speak to the overall cleanliness of the establishment, the attitude of the workers...etc. So how was the delivery? They tack on a $4 delivery charge, but I live quite a bit away from the restaurant, so I'm not one to gripe about that. Also, since I live far away my food didn't necessarily arrive piping hot, but since I work in the Industry I'm used to having to eat food cold leftovers anyway. Some of my favorites are the Nachos (prepared in a rather standard pub-grub style, but they top them with Chorizo, a nice touch.) The Enchilada with their Mole sauce is rather tasty. The Mole tastes like it's been nice and slow cooked for ages. The burrito is pretty standard, it harkens back to the kind of Mexican restaurants that existed before Chipotle and Q'doba entered the scene. Grilled steak, beans, and rice (with the option of adding cheese on the menu). Simple, but flavorful. They gave me a whole bunch of sour cream, salsa, guacamole, and peppers to add to my order if I so desired. The Quesadilla was something different - not the modern monstrosity filled with pepperjack cheese, chunks of chicken, and peppers and onions and whatever godawful things they can think of at the applebees, nor the simple griddled tortilla stuffed with queso fresco, but rather a fried tortilla stuffed with fresh cheese. I'm not sure I was that big a fan of it, but that may be because it had cooled down a bit too much by the time it reached my front door - I imagine fresh out of the frier this particular item would be a thing to behold. So there are a few gripes, mostly about paying the $4 delivery charge and still getting lukewarm food - but all the food is pretty good, and the prices aren't really that high ($9 for a large burrito, and some of the steaks get rather high in price - but they're comparable to other NYC establishments) all in all, when I'm at home and really want Mexican food delivered - this is the place I call. read more

When you look at the restaurant from the street, you don't think that this place is that big, and above all - colorful LOL. The tables there give the place a special look, that you actually entered a restaurant in Mexico, right after their national team won the world cup. We were there on Friday night, we were sitting in the back room (next to the bar) and the place definitely give you a feeling that happiness is all around. The food: I wish it was as good as the place is (reasonable prices). The Nachos plate is very nice, an contain several tastes, so each one can find what he like. We ordered 8 Tacos, 2 of each kind. Unfortunately, they weren't so good. The chicken Tacos had no taste, and the rest felt like the tacos you can find in every small place that make food, Spanish or not. The steak Tacos was good, but not good enough to bring me back to the place. The people who work there are very nice, and the drinks were good as well. This place is one of the best mexican restaurants in Brooklyn. Decoration is fun! Their prices are RIDICULOUSLY cheap. You could get a whole meal for yourself for under $10. Food is A+ almost everything on the menu is awesome. I would recommend eating at the restaurant, as their delivery is iffy. Their burritos are delicious, come with this awesome tomato based sauce on top, tacos are ridiculously good (especially the fish tacos!), and the quesadillas are unique + delicious. Eating in also gives you the added bonus of a yummy (complimentary) tortilla chips plate w/ crema, pico de gallo, and salsa. Their soups are also ace. For drinks I would recommend the jamaica. one of the best i've had yet. Only thing that wasn't as good were the maduros, ordered two separate times and were super oily. Don't believe the naysayers, try Mariachis out. It's cheap enough to not put a dent into your wallet either. :) read more

Someone here wrote that the colors of the peace may mislead you. But this place is a quite, friendly and welcoming. I can't say that this is the best spanish food I ever had, and I won't say that it is cheap, but it is a nice place,with nice people and good food. There was a big difference between the chicken tacos which was almost tasteless, and the beef tacos that were full of flavor. I would recommend you to stick to the beef. Their cocktails weren't professional enough. But with all that said, the waitress was very cute, and the staff were smiling, and I just had good time in here. Oh, and how could I forget. This place is legit. I've lived out west in Colorado and California for the last 20 years and havent had any mexican food in New York that Ive loved. The chile relleno was amazing and thats how I judge a mexican restaurant. Flan. Delish. The salsas they give at the beginning were pretty good too. Secret location. Tequila sunrises gave a nice buzz. Service was fast and efficient. Mexican families were there enjoying the food as well. The chairs and tables are very festive and theres a huge mayan calendar diorama in the back. Authentic, delicious, and reasonable pricing. I've been through countless Mexican restaurants in the area and all lacked that special traditional taste. They either tried to alter the dishes by adding new twists or loaded their dishes with cheese and meat and left it as that. Los Mariachis cooked up the traditional flavor I'm used to eating. Just finished my delivered order and my crave for Mexican this past week is finally satisfied....just wished they included a paper menu because I will definitely order again. We were walking down Coney Island hoping to stumble on on Los Mariachis. It was probably about 7pm on a Friday night and the place looked almost empty (we were probably wrong--there is a whole second dining room). Still, the chairs and general decor was so awesome that we decided to go anyway. I am so glad we did! The food is a little more expensive than our regular Mexican place, about $13-$16 for a platter, but absolutely worth the money! We had the chicken with poblano strips in a white cheese sauce and a spicy chicken baked in a green sauce that came with two bean tamales--both were delicious and different. Our drinks were yummy, though the margarita came from a mix (they have a full bar in the other side, which we noticed when we left). We were too full for dessert, but ordered a flan to take home. It was rich, creamy, and smooth with a great taste. We are definitely going back to the restaurant (which was pretty crowded when we left) and took the take out menu! read more

I loved the vibe and the waiters and waitresses were nice. I'd recommend the spicy chicken and beef soft shell tacos even though they were a bit messy. By far probably the WORST Mexican restaurant in Brooklyn. Guacamole sucks it's more like an avocado spread than actual guacamole. Tacos were eatable but were served in an aluminum paper wrapped. So when I received them they were all over the place other than in the actual taco. The quesadilla was by far the WORST attempt and replication the an Empanada. Also the sour cream that was served with it was watery. Why would I spread or dip something Im eating that's literally supposed to be creamy (Hence "Sour Cream") into a watery batch of what looked like milk in a plastic cup? I liked the fact the I was able to book a table for new years eve without any issues and that there was live mariachi that night. The food was alright. The service was horrible, our waitress almost hit twice my girlfriend in the head with the plates she was carrying. The waitress also wanted all of us to keep our dirty silverware and appetizer plates instead of taking them away and bring fresh after we finished our appetizers. The can sodas were so dirty. I used to go here a lot; it wasn't too crowded, and we got the same waitress, same great service and amazing chicken mole poblanos. So we figured Cinco de Mayo would be even better! Couldn't be more wrong. The place was empty, service and quality of the food was awful (I got 2 or 3 tortillas for my fajitas and half the toppings were missing). The (different) server was watching a talk show and couldn't be bothered to even refill our water or take our plates away; we had to go to her to get the check AND then pay her. Left a $1 tip and felt even that was too much. Haven't been back since (A year and a half). I miss those mole poblanos, but I'll try others. read more

5 stars because it was the most delicious Mexican delivered food I've had in NYC! I placed my order using delivery.com, delivery was prompt and the delivery guy was nice. I ordered the chicken flautas and the chiles rellenos. HOWEVER, the stuffed peppers though plural, was only one pepper - in that case I'll order the combo next time that includes a pepper for $11 instead of paying $13 for the "peppers". So Ive order from Mariachis on Seamless countless times and am always left wondering 'Why did I even bother?' In my defense, I'm a huge Mexican food lover and am usually excited to order out of questionable taco trucks.With that said, Mariachis food is never EVER fantastic, it varies between mediocre to absolutely gross at all times. Half the time Im left wondering what portion of the order the item was because some of it looks like complete crap. For example the chicken enchilada I was just delivered. Sitting lonely on one side of my tin foil plate was the heap of...I dont even know what. Completely covered in this gross thick sauce(I think it was some sort of BBQ) and covered with radishes and cheese. It looked like a mound of reddish mud.Only after picking at it for a couple of minutes did I uncover anything that even resembled meat..PASS. Or how about my order of pimiento rellenos(stuffed pepper) that arrived in a tall plastic tupperware covered in an oily liquid.I had first mistaken the liquid as a sauce for my other items and called the restaurant back which rudely informed me that my pepper was,in fact, on the bottom of all that liquid...Seriously?Fast forward to me dumping out all that oily gunk in my sink only to find this soggy pepper at the bottom that smelled awful and tasted even worse.PASS. So that's the worst, but believe me there's a hell of a lot more bad among my experience with Mariachis,but is there any good? Absolutely not.There is however Okay, if that's what tickles your pickle. The tacos are alright,sometimes dry and you may need to spritz them with the limes they provide you with but I can honestly say they've never ever been awful.Both sizes,large and small are actually tiny and tinier so beware if you're expecting a huge taco bell sized meal. The burritos are also mediocre but edible. Pretty much the same ingredients of the tacos with some rice and beans added... The tortas are actually good but if you have them delivered they will arrive a little soggy.If you are ordering in I'm sure these will be great though!My favorite is the beef but my husband says the chicken is good too. The quesadillas are deep fried and resemble an empanada more than any quesadilla I've ordered elsewhere...The meat is also doused in some sort of sauce I couldn't even try to name. Either way after my last run in with this restaurant I think Ive finally learned my lesson. This is one of the only places in this entire area that is open late! After a very stressful evening trying to find a place to sit down and enjoy a quiet dinner this place openly welcomed us with top-notch tequila for only nine dollars a shot and delicious "sopes al pastor". This is an authentic Mexican restaurant. I was happy with the service and the food was delicious. I found the decor of the restaurant to be incredibly adorable. Ordered a torta, a LARGE order of Nachos, a Small mexican pizza, and an order of fries. The torta was okay, nothing special. The fries were $3 for about 20 fries. The pizza was a good size considering it was for my younger brother as for the taste he didn't really like it. Now the Nachos we ordered Large with chorizo, what we received was 10 little chips with cheese lettuce, oh and I can't forget that they didn't even use chorizo they're used regular hot dog meat and used them as slices....for $8. I was searching through GrubHub for some Mexican food yesterday and this was one of the ones that popped up first. I ordered the steak taco and the burrito, quesadilla, enchilada combo. I ended up finishing about half of the order, a few hours later I was feeling a headache and then the food poisoning came. I felt gassy and then I threw up for about 4 hours on and off. This was the only meal I ate all day so I really have no other thought that this was the reason. I still feel horrible today and I normally do no post reviews but I really have to on this one.
