Great food, large portions, and good service at reasonable price. Ambiance is OK but I think it's a hidden gem and better than the twenty or so Mexican restaurants we just ate at in Southern California.

    Quesadilla de Diablo

I was looking for some Mexican food that actually had some spice to it. This hit the spot. I asked for suggestions from the seating host and he directed me towards what I was craving with confidence which can sometimes backfire but did not this time. The quesadilla de Diablo was spicy and delicious. Shrimp cooked just right nit over done or rubbery. There was a nice smoky flavor as well. Bathrooms were decently clean nothing fancy. Last but definitely not least. Im always on the lookout for a decent salsa and this place did not disappoint. Don't skip it. Yes it has a kick. Sometimes the best gems are basically delicious.

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise! We stopped for gas on our i-5N journey and were looking for options that were not fast food. We got seated very quickly. The ambiance is actually quite cute - oldish, small town vibes with a Hispanic spin. They had Hispanic music to tie in the vibes. The server was very nice and responsive. Their menu is quite extensive with all day breakfast, apps, entrees and some interesting sides. We ordered the chicken quesadilla and the huevos con chorizo as well as a glass of Horchata. The food came quickly and it was freshly made. There was a lack of the heat element but we made do with the hot sauce. The plates were quite big and filling. The quesadilla was good outside of the needing more heat. The guac was VERY good! The huevos con chorizo was also very good except for lack of spice. The beans and rice were excellent and made for a good, filling plate. The Horchata was definitely one of the best I've had in a while. Pricing wise, it is slightly on the higher side for Mexican restaurants but I guess that is expected for a restaurant that is not fast food on the interstate. If you are looking for good food on your journey on I-5, I highly recommend stopping here. They are open from 12 am to 9 pm daily!

While on the road and I still have a long way to go to reach the destination, I want to find good food near the highway exit. Very often I find the food just average. Los Pinos not only beat my expectations but the food was also vey delicious. Enjoyed the Camarones A La Diabla and the Chile Relleno Combo plate. The Camarones A La Diabla was perfectly spicy. Service was fast and good. Decent ambiance

Stop, stop if you are anywhere on the I5 or Frazier Park area. Food is on point, delicious, well prepared and portioned. Small restaurants feel with family recipes, and great friendly service. Ground beef is well seasoned

This place has a cute little ambience with several tables. Cute cozy indoor seating. Lots of space, so if you're stopping on your way down to LA or up to San Jose this is a GREAT taco spot -- I 100% recommend it! The tacos enchiladas are very authentic very fresh. All of the guac and fixings were absolutely amazing. save your trip to chipotle and come here for some authentic Mexican food. The waitress was helpful and sweet and gave us some recommendations and checked off us often.

The food the service and the easy access from crossing over the grapevine , this is a from now on stop to stretch and grab a bite ... had the #7 two chicken tacos and rice (not a fan of refried beans ) it's was so good , had a good amount of cheese and the rice was fresh as I arrived when they opened.

Enchiladas suiza (chicken with green sauce). Chips and salsa. Yum!

I had the enchiladas suiza and they were fresh and delicious. Everything was so good! the waitress was very helpful- I called from outside because I had walked over there with my dog (from the hotel), she took my order over the phone and then brought it out to me. Took a while, but it was so worth the wait. I'm glad I stopped there instead of fast food.

We've been through Frazier Park many times on the way to hikes, but I guess I had never ventured up any side roads to the actual 'downtown'. Upon entering, you think the place is small, but it keeps extending into a sizable dining room and there appears to be a back room that you can use for events. The staff was pleasant, the place was clean and organized, but there was almost zero ambience with only the slightest hint of a radio playing in the kitchen, but my friend said they closed at four on Sundays, so maybe it was the end of the day when we were there, but it was literally dead quiet. I could tell from the picture on the menu that they didn't make their own taco shells and were the pre-formed kind. All the food was hot and freshly made, and plated decently, but every bit of it was fairly bland and flavorless; definitely not traditional Mexican food.

She knows many by name and she also made a special button on her ordering POS machine for her loyal customers that have been eating here for years. That is a valid 5/5 star rating! The amount of proportionate food is over the top, you can literally share one meal itself. The guacamole is perfect and the chips and salsa are so delicious, it's hard to stop. The ambience has such a beautiful touch to the Hispanic culture as well as the architecture . Swing by

The service is always fast, friendly, and welcoming, and it's honestly one of the easiest restaurants in Fillmore to recommend with complete confidence to anyone visiting town. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in what they do. The margaritas and micheladas are off the charts! generous pours and huge compared to the tiny drinks you get at so many other Mexican restaurants. The food is consistently great too. My personal favorite is the Pollo Tampiqueño, but their Molcajete, fajitas, albondigas, homemade tortillas are all amazing and definitely one of the highlights of the menu. Their signature seafood plates are absolutely worth trying. If you're anywhere near Fillmore, El Pescador is worth the drive. Family owned with great food, great people, great atmosphere, plenty of parking, and the kind of local restaurant that keeps people coming back.

Our waiter came over with menus and was very helpful with a few questions that we had. We ordered a Molcagete, which is a lot of food and can definitely be shared with 2-3 people. We also ordered a camarones costa azul plate. Everything was so delicious, but the molcagete was my favorite. Another great thing about this restaurant is that they hand-make their tortillas right there. I loved the warm, hand-made tortillas. I also had a spicy margarita, which was amazing. The restaurant had so much space, a bar area, and can definitely be a great place for large parties. I loved El Pescador, and I can't wait to go back and maybe try their lunch specials.
