This was probably the worst experience I've had with this place I've eaten there before and it was pretty good so today I took my whole family to the brunch we got there and there wasn't any gravy and they weren't making any more gravy and we got there half hour after it started there was no taco shells for the taco meat they ran out of orange juice and they did not give us any service we tried to order drinks we never got them all we got was water and when it was time to leave and pay the bill the waiter actually tried to not bring me my change back I had to ask him for the change and didn't actually even give me all my change back he tipped himself I will never go there again whether it's for the brunch or their regular food I will go to Sumner and go to El Charro because it is a much better place friendlier environment and just all-around better this was a horrible and we did not get our money's worth or even really have a good time read more

I've been a repeat customer for years but no longer. Everyone is always polite but my wife and I have received very poor service on repeated occasions. We've lived in Orting for 12 years and we love eating at Los Pinos. We've never had bad service or bad food! Wonderful, generous portions. Food is always steaming hot and they never put a steaming hot plate in front of my kid. Peach Margaritas are amazing! Our favorite dishes are tamales, chicken enchilladas and anything with steak or shrimp. Plus, love the chips and salsa on the table when we sit down. My wife and I ate here a year ago and we wanted to try it again. Next time it'll be at least two years. The food had good flavors but the service was very, very poor. They over charged for items they didn't give us. Then the waiter said they were busy, but they were only half full. I have grown up eating here and can't wait to go back every chance I get. I'm a sucker for their carne Asada, it is the best Carne Asada I have ever had!! Their portions are very generous and they have amazing rice and beans that comes side to I'm pretty sure most dishes on the menu. Some of the best Mexican food in Washington State. Ate a ton of it in SoCal and would rather be at Los Pinos for most items. Excellent salsa. Better beer prices than most any place. American dish chargrilled chicken is flavorful with excellent seasonings and comes with choice of two items: sauteed or steamed veggies, salad, sauteed mushrooms. The 'shrooms are amazing! The Foothills Burro or grilled salmon dishes are fantastic if you're watching your carb intake. Arros con pollo, Chili Colorado, Steak Los Pinos, among others are faves. Sunday Brunch has excellent options for both Mexican and American tastes and a great deal for all-you-can-eat. Clementina is an amazing woman who works hard in her restaurant. Go on a Friday night for strolling guitarist who will play any number of Mexican songs for you (and hopefully you'll like enough to give him a few bucks in gratitude). Highly recommend this restaurant for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch! Take out options as well. read more

I have eaten here many times as I live in Orting - I have never received exceptional service and have grown accustomed to such, but tonight's experience was the worst I have experienced yet so far. I was with a group of 6 people and trying to get service from our server (Cynthia) was tough to say the least. On top of the lack of service our food took forever to be brought out - somewhere in the neighborhood of 45 minutes. Everyone got their food and I proceeded to wait for mine another 15 minutes (a carne asada burrito - not the most difficult dish to make). As an attempt to make up for the slow service and food Cynthia brought a free desert - a deep fried tortilla with chocolate sauce that looked disgusting.... Are you kidding me? I ate none of the free cheap desert and expected a drink or at least my meal on the house, but nothing was offered. The kicker is their new iPad pay system where they run your card and then sit there in front of you as they push the iPad in your face with preloaded tip amounts - I chose custom tip because my overall experience sucked. I won't be coming back here anytime soon and really suggest you stay clear. read more

We have been to pretty much every Mexican Restaurant in the South Puget Sound, and this is, by far, our favorite family treat. Their chicken dishes are especially juicy and flavorful. The family that runs this restaurant in the quaint town of Orting is very friendly and treats everyone like family. This would had been a 5 star until the man playing the guitar walked into the bar and reached over and started eating oranges out of the bar serving compartment /caddy straight from playing the guitar and shaking people's hands. I could be wrong but I think the health department wouldn't be happy. The food was great as well as the service but that makes me worry about the sanitation in the back. read more

Salsa was good, margarita was an overly sweet mix and the meal was nothing special. Pretty average.

My family and I wait for 45 minutes to be seated, once seated we then waited for our waiter to come take our orders or at least ask if we would like beverages. As we waited in the middle of the aisle which with a toddler is very hard for people not trip or vise Versa we watched more customers arrive after us we saw them be seated and had chips dip and drinks before us, once my family and I had our chips and dip and proceeded to wait. My father and I timed the service it took 25 minutes for drinks, another 35 for our order, we almost there an hour before anything. Once our orders were taken we still had watched the other customers receive food before us, it took 45 min to get our food, which when we had taken a bite of it was awful I've never had food like that and my family is not picky, we all threw our food in napkins. Once service was over I asked for manager to express my concerns I was told I hurt her feelings and she supervised everything and reassured me we were well taken care of. I had replied to her comment saying the chicken was rubber, the rice was cold the mole sauce is beyond with a burnt taste. She refused to help me any further but to try and turn the matter on me saying I was scamming her. She the. Processed to tell me she has outstanding service I beg to differ. I will never return for the way we're treated I felt insulted I'm not the one to be rude for I worked in a customer service retail for 6 years I respect others the way I would want to be. So over tall spent 160 dollars for my family and I and we got sick the next day almost felt like the flu. It was awful. My husband had expired beer to top things off. Not happy read more

I have been here 2 times, the first time I had a carne asada burrito it was pretty good so I decided to return today. I ordered the beef fajitas. Save your money it was just ok at best mostly carmelized onoins with a sprinkling of beef and it took forever to arrive at our table. The waiter attempted to be charming by speaking partly in spanish and partly in english. I suggest save the fake charm, just be nice and genuine. Oh and stop wearing your mothers make up. read more

So the first thing you need to know is this place is family run. They didn't go to school for this. Obviously they are passionate about what they do and the product they provide. Service can vary based on many factors but I have never been treated rudely. Your business is always genuinely appreciated. Food is consistantly good if you are looking for standard Mexican fare. Not too much originality or inspiration on the menu. One highlight that I do not see offered anywhere else is the camarones aprelatados which is basically a bacon wrapped crab stuffed shrimp with mushrooms and there delicious garlic butter sauce. Prices are reasonable given the rural locale and cost of food delivery to this area but may seem a bit high to people not understanding what it takes to run a successful restaurant in a small town. Decor is pretty standard for a traditional Mexican restaurant of this region and the place can be pretty loud on the weekends due to larger dinner parties. If your in Orting, and you have a hankering for some Mexican fare. You can't go wrong by stopping here. read more
