Good food good service. I have to have 86 characters to be a valid review? Well, the chairs were just OK... How about that?

While I don't know why people don't go, I do know why I don't. The last time I was there I was being actively ignored by multiple barkeepers acting super busy, walking up and down and polishing glasses or similar fillers on a non-busy night... Until I got up and walked out slowly to Provisions, a bar right across the street, to get a drink. With this attitude toward service, I'm sure none of them realized what kind of business walked out the door in that moment, given I live within walking distance, happen to like a good whiskey, and believe in tipping handsomely for good service. But I get it...surely they saw me and likely filter for a different type of clientele. It's just that even over the years I've been passing by it hasn't worked. But each to their own; never been back.

So this visit I got the strawberry milkshake with the shot of vodka, delicious; and we also ordered the Three pepper bomb hamburger, outstanding; we also got the buffalo calamari, which was again one of my favorites. But the problem came when we ordered the Nashville hot wings and the salmon sandwich. Both were lacking in flavor and presentation. One of the big issues with the salmon sandwich. The sandwich was served on thick cold bread, I couldn't barely taste the salmon and all the other ingredients on the sandwich (see photo). Wait. I take that back. You can also taste the billion tomatoes they had on the sandwich. I let the staff know the bread on my sandwich was not hot and ask them to toast the bread. Well, I got the sandwich back in five minutes and I don't know how they toasted the bread, but what they did made the sandwich a lot worse than it already was. I did not finish the sandwich at all. The Nashville, hot sauce was not great. The way the wings were served it looked like they brushed the sauce on the wings. Definitely, not my preference. I like my wings dipped and saucey. I probably shouldn't complain since the sauce wasn't that good. I'm actually advocating that they remove the salmon sandwich from the menu because if they can't do this well then they should just stick with burgers.

Located on the upper floor of Pike's Place, this cute bar has a good amount of seating with both table and bar top options. We went on a Saturday night at around 9 PM and it wasn't too crowded -- we were quickly seated at the bar top for a party of two. When you walk in you'll notice that they have a more rustic, dark ambiance that still provides a more casual feel. We were immediately greeted by our host and were seated right away! We were having a late dinner so we ended up getting the Tater Tots with all the toppings, beef tartare, and a side of their coleslaw. For the two of us, that was more than enough! Their portion sizes were very generous and filling. The tater tots were amazing, with the perfect amount of crisp, sauce, and toppings! The beef tartare was also so delicious with the perfect amount of seasoning and the yolk beautifully ran through the meat. For drinks, we ended up getting two cocktails as well as as a whiskey flight. For the cocktails we ordered the Turn the Page and Angel's Wings. Both drinks were absolutely amazing! It was the perfect balance of tasting the spirit with its complementary fruity notes. Our bartender also curated a flight for us based on our budget, preferences, and curiosities because we were interested in learning more about the different whiskeys and it was such an amazing experience! I learned so much about whiskeys and tried new ones that I never would've considered trying otherwise! Overall, this was such an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend checking our Radiator Whiskey if you're in the Seattle area! I'm excited to go back and try new drinks at their bar again!

Smoked maple old fashioned- probably one of the best old fashioned drinks I had while traveling in Seattle. Delicious smoky flavor.. I'm a fan. Cool vibes, great food and service.. I'm a fan!

Vegan lentil stew was really good! You get a choice between fries or potatoes, and while they were more than happy to make vegan potatoes, I confirmed that I'm fine with diary so I got the regular ones. Overall really great texture for the dish! So many places make their stew veggies mushy, but these were perfect! I also tried the butternut squash grilled cheese which was delightful! The fries appear to be fresh cut and had a wonderful taste and texture to them. The parental unit went with the Flemish stew both times and he is definitely a fan! Great environment. Clean, a little funky. The music choices were so different from my 2 trips that I'm not 100% sure what vibe they're going for, but overall I like it. We honestly cut dinner short because no one wants to enjoy a meal while feeling like they're dining inside a gas station restroom.
