Wow! This place was so freaking good! I had the pollo primavera and my parents had the fajita de quesadillas. Hands down some of the best Mexican I've had in the states! The pollo primavera was vegetables, chicken, and white queso over rice. The fajita de quesadillas were Magical -grilled pockets of cheesy and meaty YUM! During a busy weekend in South Haven we were happy to find this restaurant open with available seating for dinner. (Most restaurants in town were either closed for the season or unexpectedly closed for various reasons). Here we had prompt friendly service in the spacious restaurant. The only problem I had with this place was when I asked for a glass bottle of Coca-Cola I had planned on taking my food home sitting with my relatives and eating my food at home they asked for my stuff to go and I asked for the waiter to not open up my bottle when he arrived he opened up my bottle so when my pop got home it was warm and flat not a big problem just a little bit annoying the food was okay portions were pretty small for the price there was too small chimichangas that were okay my family enjoyed their food the environment is nice and we didn't have to wait very long for our food read more

We visited Los Ranchos restaurant while on a trip to Michigan with the family. We had the WORST waitress. She was hostile toward us. The food had no flavor and our soup was cold. First time there since it opened. We are from Southern California, so, picky about Mexican food. The chips and salsa were very good. I had the pork burrito..very tender meat. Didn't love their rice but not bad. My husband had huevos and it was a very generous serving and tasty. Would say 3 1/2 stars but keep in mind that we are used to stellar Mexican food . The mahi mahi tacos were great! We also had the bean burrrito and quesadilla and chalupa. The red sauce on the top is so delicious. Got a margarita on the rocks to go, and eating the chips and salsa with marga while we heated up the food back to piping hot after walking home in the snow--we were able to have an almost restaurant-like experience. I was solidly impressed after my first visit last night. First and foremost, service was great - prompt, attentive, and present throughout our service. That says a lot during these trying times when service has been lacking in many places. Second, the food was good overall - tasty and well executed - both appetizers and entrees were good. Pollo Supremo was surprisingly good as were the shrimp quesadilla. House Margarita was good - but nothing really special other than a 25% discount on a Tuesday (yay!). I'll definitely find my way back here and suspect this will become one of my new local favorites for mexican food. Glad to have finally found my way here. read more

Sorry. Covid or not, this was just really bad Mexican food. Service was fine. I ordered a chicken fajita salad and I literally had a few shreds of lettuce. Tons of grilled onions and peppers, a small amount of chicken (less than a quarter cup). Very salty. Chips and salsa were just meh. read more

I love this place. Steak tacos are my jam. Corn tortillas are really good. I like the queso. The staff is very willing to accommodate special requests. Just ask. The boss/mgr Jesus is great. All you have to do is be nice and make friends with the staff and you will be treated like a champion. read more

I went there with my family for the first and for me at leas the last time. My drink was ok but that was the high point of the meal. Our waiter was not very nice he had an obvious fake smile going the entire time. Our order did not come out all together and we had to remind our server we didn't get our whole order. Looked for a restaurant for Thanksgiving day, for when I got out of work. Noticed on the website that they were open. Ordered my dinner thru the 3rd party app, Clover? Whatever that is. When I was told to give them 20 minutes, I showed up then. They were closed , of course. They took my money like they were open, like the website said. Eventually my money was returned after multiple texts, finally had to call. Did not get an apology. Not very happy with the service. Generally the food is great, waitstaff and bartenders are great. When every other restaurant in town was uncomfortably crowded with lines out the door, we were seated immediately here. While I'm sure the owners prefer to be swamped like every other place, we were grateful to be only the third table in the house. The food was on point. Great flavor and fair prices . The only thing negative is 2 of the 3 checks at our table had items that weren't ordered. The chef made a mistake on one order and didn't want to correct the order and charged also for the incorrect food. The Mahi-mahi is actually catfish or perch also menu said slaw but they will tell you they do slaw. Watch your tickets they will charge you for their mistakes.
