Sis and I were in a fruit cup mood to cleanse the palate after some fried food. After seeing many on Yelp we landed on this one due to proximity to her house. Upon arrriving we noticed there was a line which should be a good sign. As we were chatting we noticed the huge fruit cups that a lady walked out with and got excited. Sure enough my mangonada was fire as the kids say lol and my sis fruit cup was a good mix of fresh fruit. Just witnessed a woman order "the usual" and proceed to spend $60 on four trays of mangonadas, if that isn't a testament to the tasty treats offered, I don't know what is. My go-to order is either the fruit cup with cucumber and jicama and a limonada or a cup of lime and strawberry shave ice. The shave ice is absolutely fantastic and perfect for the summer months ahead. I'm not a fan of the standard raspa but (as I pointed out in a tip) instead of crushed ice with various syrups added, theirs is frozen fruit ground superfine with ice for an extra fruity frozen treat. There's nothing especially fancy about Regios, it's a small hole in the wall with cramped parking but everything offered is as fresh as it gets, the prices are great, and the employees are kind. It gets pretty packed in the weekends but it is super worth the wait. read more

These munchies are big in my hometown and I can't help but crave the real thing. For me to say it's legit, you know it's real. It is rare to find a place with actual corn and not the canned thing, ask for the white corn. Idk what they call the Tostitos with everything, but i know them as a "Marranada" and they sure will make you feel like one. Their ice cream is delicious and homemade. These remind me of the "Nieves de garrafa" in Piedras Negras. Small starts at $2.50. I haven't tried anything else, but their homemade ice cream in and of itself is worth the trip. read more

A small shop located in a small strip of shops. It is one of those local shops that is a bit off the radar and mainly known by locals. I found it not through Yelp but waiting for me food from another place located in the same strip mall. Since it was going to take about 30 minutes for my food to be prepared I decided to check this place out. It is a small establishment with a few tables inside if you want to sit and eat but most people seem to do a grab and go. I was going with a mangonada but after seeing a few people go with the fresos y crema I decided to go with that instead. When it gets full it can get a bit slow especially with particular orders. It seemed like it was the fresos y crema day as the employees were whipping them up as fast as they can. Still with only three people working the orders came out in a respectable time. Although it is a simple selection of strawberries and cream it was good at a very respectable price. There are plenty of other selections to choose from as you will see from the items that are pictured on the wall. A friendly little spot to check out if you are in the area. I will warn you that parking can be a challenge but there is some street parking near the auto dealership next door. read more

Love this place! We found it because my hub is Mexican and he knows about fruterías. Lol. They have the regular paletas (ice cream pops) from Mexico, they have shaved ice with incredible flavor options, a Spanish-type if Italian ice that you can top with chamoy (spicy/sweet red syrup), and some inventive snack choices, like nachos out of bagged chips/Cheetos. We've been there at least three times. I always get the mango Italian ice with chamoy on top. read more

My first time here and it was okay to sum it up. No set line so while I was standing closeted to the counter the older guy behind the counter helped some lady first and when he saw me make a face he told me that she was in line. Um OKAY some young guy took my order and he gave he best service he could. I ordered vanilla swirl very standard, a small corn in a cup and a raspa with ice cream. The vanilla swirl was average so it was good, the corn in the cup was great on the very top but they didn't disbursed everything evenly so all the flavor was on top. The raspa had ice cream on the bottom rather than the top and the syrup was unusually thick but I ended up flipping it into my yeti anyway so it is what it is. Overall if you NEED your fix this place will do but I wouldn't waste my gas to make it a destination read more
