It was right across the street from where I was staying. Our 2nd day in Texas and I felt I should take the kids on a walking adventure. After helping an injured pigeon, I treated the kids to frozen yogurt. Super clean and I loved how clean the toppings bar was. I had chocolate and Reese's PB yogurt plus cookie dough, crushed Oreo's, brownie bites, and chocolate syrup. The kids got their own cup and picked their own yogurt. I only helped w/ the toppings because I cannot stand kids that make a mess - because you know the majority of the parents do not clean it up. My selection was creamy and decadent. The toppings were fresh. I loved the cookie dough bites. I do not know how much they charge per ounce but I paid about $20 for 4 cups. My cup was the heaviest. Omg I love frozen yogurt. I just drove 20 minutes to get here and the place was clean and yogurt and toppings were great, but I showed up at 9:20 p.m. After I got my yogurt, one worker said, "thank you!," as if I was leaving but I sat down to eat. Then while I was eating she said, "just so you know, we close at 10." And I kindly replied ,"I know, I just don't want to eat in the dark in my car." Then, like two minutes after that, she tells me not to throw my trash away. I'm a 31 year old woman and was eating very carefully as to not make a mess because I know thes kids want to go home, but I felt a little unwelcomed. So I went to my car to finish my treat. Now it's 9:45 p.m. Summary- this place is good, just don't come after 9 or you may feel pressured to rush through your fro-yo. read more

This Orange Leaf is hidden away from the road but is in plain sight if you go to the Target that's right in front of it. So as far as location goes, this has to be the worst location for such delicious items. With that said... here we go. I'm a big fan of this location. The customer service was great. The staff was very nice and helpful during my visit. They provide you with samples of every froyo and don't even complain once you get on sample scoop #20 (yes I went that far.. don't judge me... #froyoislife). So any way, the store is set up very quaint. The system is set for you to pour your own necessities on your froyo which is awesome. However, I hate their seats. Their seats are so low to the grown that you have to burn calories before you get comfortable enough to take your first bite :). All jokes aside, this is genuinely irritating because there are no average size adult chairs which I assume goes with their "millennial" theme. I just wonder if they know it's more than likely eating away at older customers coming who want to sit in rather than get carryout. With that said (segue!!!). They have carryout lids but you don't have to get one. Pretty much, however much you can balance in the cup equals a flat rate price which is freaking awesome! to wrap this up... Excellent spot, terrible location, great customer service, horrible seating for the senior and injured, but delicious to the last bite. I will be back but only for carryout. This place is great it reminded me of being back in Cali when the family would meet at Yogurt land. I would have given it a 5 but I'm use to having way more option for yogurts and toppings. The location was clean and has a relaxing atmosphere. Definitely a family oriented atmosphere. Prices are reasonable, it all depends on the weight of your cup/bowl. read more

The place and owners were super clean! We sat outside and placed our orders using their curbside option. When our frozen yogurt was brought out, we were provided with hand sanitizer and complimentary cold waters (because it was super hot outside). Overall, taste-wise I find most of these high-end yogurt places pretty much in the same boat. So, you are left rating based on options, service, location, and ambiance. I feel that Orange Leaf in Alamo Heights scores well on all four of these. First, I really like that they have all sorts of flavor options, especially since I go there with my daughter. I mean, I like Red Mango, but the three flavors they offer you gets real old, real quick. Orange Leaf has over a dozen flavors and a swirl for every two, which for kids is a real plus. Beyond that, your topping options are beyond extensive - again, big plus for those of us with kids. Second, what appears to be the owners/operators are GREAT. Super friendly, clearly enjoy the people-to-people interaction; just a joy really. Third, at least for me the location is great as you can hit up Target and Petco and be back home (if you live in Alamo Heights) within five minutes. Plus, there is parking, which is getting a lot more limited over in Quarry Village, where our other go to yogurt spot is located. Finally, the ambiance is great too. Plenty of comfortable seating. This was my first stop there. I went there to sugar up in the middle of all my Go-Fers runs. The shop was very clean, very cute, very quiet. After I sat down, I decided to see if there was a phone app since I am always on the road. Then I discovered they had a frequent saver program. Why didn't the cashier ask me or tell me about it? I went up and asked her. She had no answer. I said, truthfully you don't want to tell people about this program so you don't have to give up free product when customers qualify. She shrugged her shoulders and nodded. I was floored. I got the card, but she refused to accept and add on the purchase I had just made with them. The owner? happened to be in the store. He did come around and give me a 10% off my next purchase card, and apologized, but he made it sound as if he got caught. I hope that future visits there will not be like this. read more

Although there are a plethora of serve yourself yogurt shops around town, this particular location is made excellent by the amazing customer service provided by the lady behind the counter. She ALWAYS has a smile on her face and greets everyone warmly. I have never seen her in a bad mood and is willing to assist anyone that needs help with a smile. Super new and nice serve yourself fro yo spot, conveniently located next to the new Target on Austin Highway. They have a variety of flavors and a ton of toppings. My older daughter swears by the coffee yogurt, topped with cookie dough balls, chocolate chips, and finished with a swirl of chocolate sauce. My favorite? Coconut and orange with a scoop of Fruity Pebbles. The young women who work here are friendly and are constantly making sure the fun, modern tables and chairs are spotless. ( there was 1 other person in the whole store besides me). It was my birthday and I wanted to use my reward. the froyo at this orange leaf location is no different from any of the others -- veryyy creamy & delicious! until yogurtland or menchie's make their way to sa, this will be my go-to place... but probably not THIS particular location. first off, this location was sparkling clean, but then again most froyo places are pretty modern/minimalist/clean. i didn't really notice until someone else mentioned that the girl working that day was non-stop refilling the toppings, straightening out the spoons, wiping every surface (chairs, countertops, machine levers), stacking and re-stacking the paper cups... the list goes on. if i've ever seen someone with legitimate OCD, this was definitely it. and it wasn't like there was even a mess to clean up. i'm pretty sure there were at least 500 froyo cups set out when she decided to bust open a few more packages and "refill" the station. since she was running around cleaning like her life depended on it, it was superr distracting and made everyone nervous... like if we accidentally dripped froyo somewhere her wrath would be upon us. it was def weird to say the least and during the 10-15 min that i was there, she walked back and forth from the cash register area to the back where the stacks of cups are at least 15 times! also, when i walked in (with 2 other people), my hubs asked for sample cups. she handed him a couple and as he started walking toward the machines, i politely asked if i could get one too. she looked at me like that was the most ridiculous question ever and said "i gave him two." okay..? no other froyo place i've been to is this strict on sample cups. it's kinda gross to reuse the same cup for different flavors, not to mention that the non-waxed paper cup starts getting all wet and non-functional. no bueno. before i could try all the flavors i wanted to, my cup died on me. but i was too scared of this girl to ask for another. when my hubs and i got a yogurt to share (it was HUGE btw.. we just ended up wanting the same flavors and figured there was no reason to get 2 cups) the girl glared at me again and purposely put one spoon in the yogurt. of course, i asked her if i could have an extra spoon and grudgingly handed me one. oh btw, all the spoons and sample cups are hidden behind her cash register so you have to ask her for them... to say the least, this was the worst froyo experience ever. orange leaf is still the #1 froyo place in sa and is still #3 on my list of all froyo places ever, but due to excessive awkwardness, i will prob try to avoid this particular location! read more
