    Birria Nachos!!!
    Dawn A.

Our little family of three was in the area and decided to stop in for some epic birria. Here's our take: Hubs and I shared the Ramen taco plate. Basically three of their famous tacos with cheese, the meat and cilantro and onions if you like. The Ramen is the consommé with some of the meat and Ramen noodles, as well as cheese, cilantro, and onions. What was confusing when they brought it to us it was lukewarm, and the noodles were not cooked so we had them warm it up some more, I'm assuming in the microwave? The tortillas, the meat and the consommé were delicious. Daughter got the nachos which if you see my video you'll see was racked and stacked high with tons of meat and other deliciousness The chips are obviously homemade and probably my favorite thing of the night. We shared a spicy beans dip which was a bit on the watery side for my liking and not spicy to me in any way, but still had decent flavor. Customer Service was absolutely incredible. The lovely lady who took our order was very professional, friendly and polite. She checked on us several times and was very accommodating. If we're in the area, we will definitely stop by again. I am looking forward to trying a lot of their other stuff. Parking kind of sucks but we got lucky and were able to park right in front. There is no private lot!!

I will be honest we had seen this spot a few times and just drive by but last night me and fam bam finally stopped in... Well should have done it sooner talk about hole in the wall but definitely a gem with all the construction on colfax you might not want to stop don't miss out. Service was great food was delicious and overall great spot. Boys got the Walking Taco & Birria Grilled cheese both delicious. Wifey got the chilli cheese fries and I got the Cali Burrito Asada we split again both on point. Either way give this place a shot we will be back. Killed it!

Best spot to get carne asada fries! Very friendly staff, easy to follow menu and very affordable, tasty food.

There are three in the combo, but only got a pic of one left. Very flavorful!

Convenient location with great food! We had the Quesabirria Combo and the Birria Ramen. The quesabirria is probably the best I have had outside of Mexico and the Birria Ramen was also a good fusion between Japanese and Mexican. The space is in kind of a hole in the wall strip-mall but it's clean and the staff is friendly!

The service here is always great. Super kind and friendly people! I've been here a few times and of course the birria tacos are amazing. The chips and guacamole are so good too! We love coming here for something quick and delicious.

Service was fantastic and the place was packed which made me even more excited to try it. I got the quesadilla birria and this is the literal best quesadilla i've ever had in my life - i will be going back WEEKLY. 10/10 recommend the chips and salsa too, everything was incredibly fresh!

The food was average at best. I eat Mexican food many times a week, and this didn't live up to the hype. And there's absolutely no parking.

It's absolutely authentic, but with an elevated menu that really delivers. We got the chip trio, but you almost wouldn't need it since they have a full salsa bar, including endless pico de gallo and sour cream. But the chips are thick and crunchy and delicious. I tried the taco de birria de chivo (goat) and was truly blown away. The meat is so tender and seasoned so well, you can taste the allspice in it, which is perfect for goat, and so unique to Mexican food. I also tried the al Pastor and the Carne Asada, both were also to die for. I love how they make the taco have a little bottom and give it three sides, to help us fit all the generous portion that they give. They also have several different Agua Fresca's, that you serve yourself and get unlimited refills, including Horchata. It's amazing. I've already come back another time since.

Crispy, cheesy, packed with birria and even better dipped in that consommé. Trio Dip -- Perfect for the table and a great way to start. Carnitas Quesadilla -- Crispy, cheesy and absolutely delicious. Spicy Margarita -- Because tacos + a spicy marg just make sense. And the ultimate review? Kid approved. My kids were literally drinking the consommé straight from the container. If that doesn't tell you how good it was, I don't know what will. THE PICKY B RATING: OBSESSED I'd go out of my way for it -- and apparently so would the kids. The street taco plate was delicious and you can't go wrong with the carnitas. The Burrito smothered in green chile was also fantastic and the pickled onions and queso Fresca elevated some different notes. For two people, ordered a set of 3 tacos (2x barbacoa and carnitas) and then another 3 tacos (asada, carnitas, and pastor), birria egg rolls, and a bean, cheese, and rice burrito. Not a big deal but they put all the tacos in one box and I was able to differentiate which 3 tacos that I ordered. This place is super stingy with salsa. They gave me 2 tiny containers for salsa and then when I asked for a couple more, the lady said she could only give me two more. :( Excited to try the food and started off great with a simple bean, cheese, and rice burrito but outside of that everything else was very meh. Not sure how but all the meats were so dry, I ordered braised/slow cooked meats (barbacoa and carnitas). Asada and pastor were okay as well. Everything lacked seasoning and the salsa didn't add much to the tacos either. Birria tacos were also dry and consommé needed salt to be added. Value was not bad at $37.64. Tacos were about $3-3.20 per

Walk in casually as you go about your day on a sunny afternoon and have a quick Mexican food along…read morewith a refreshing Mexican beer kind of place is how I summarize this place. This long skinny establishment - not necessarily super spacious - can offer you a decent food that you can count on. You don't need anybody to go with - you can be a solo diner because this place is not intimidating in any way. It's that casual. I think this establishment was born in the old Stoney's Cantina space. Whether the place was huge enough to create two businesses (and thus La Loteria occupied half of it), I sort of saw some "remnant" of Stoney's was the impression that I got. Whatever I am correct on this or not, this casual Mex place is all about vivid pastel colored interior where red is mostly dominant. Intriguing murals on walls 360 degrees are quite impressive. Once you are inside, a huge arrow to direct the people to order to their left at the ordering counter. That ordering counter extends all the way where you'll see some bar seatings. The right side of it mostly has tables for small to large groups of people. Like I said, this place is not huge but at the same time, people don't stay long to dine; the turnover is quite quick in a way. The restaurant also gets many walk-in to-go order placers as well. I got me the Aztec Bowl for to-go. This dish is only $11 (as of early May of 2025) and is a vegetarian item. I consume a lot of vegetarian diet and yet my instinct loudly spoke to me to add some protein to it. Whether or not you can keep it non-meat to stay in the vegetarian zone, adding some protein to this dish is a must as if it was by itself, it would be a bit boring because it only has some greens and some slices of avocado. As the add-on, I got me the carne asada ($5.00) that comes with rice. Not bad.. I didn't eat it right after I got home; I meant to get it to eat it the next day which I did (this AM.) It was still fresh where nothing tasted stale. The carne asada was well-cooked with seasonings. In other words, it wasn't salty at all but held good flavors. Now on the receipt, I saw a charge of what's called "takeout service fee" which is 18%. I kind of assumed that this was mostly the mandatory gratuity. At the end of the card transaction, I remember that the different gratuity percentages were listed on the machine and they were quite small because of this fee. It'll be up to you to add more if you wish. Some people might complaint about this mandated system and yet I kind of understand that businesses nowadays must survive by navigating through the rising cost of living. As we have seen our favorite businesses disappear in the recent years, I am here to support them by whatever I could within my power. Whereas the parking on Broadway is a pain in the neck at any time of the day, if I think of a casual Mexican dining in the Baker neighborhood next time, I may stop by here. It's a good establishment to know.

It's also very unassuming. It looks like a very small restaurant on the outside but once you are inside, you'll be shocked to see its good size dining area. This place is all about happiness. I mean seriously!! They care about their customers that get satisfied with their service and meals. And it does draw a very diverse crowd from the Hispanics to Caucasians to Asians, I mean you name it. They also get a lot of to-go orders. Some people came in, grabbed their food and went on their way for the night. My friend got the Torta Los Carboncito. This is a massive sandwich with plenty of meat inside. Since the menu has colored picofor almost each item, what caught my attention was the fish dish. There are two of them: one is trout and the other is something else (I forgot) but I got me the non-trout one. The lady asked me if I wanted the flour or corn tortillas so I went with the corn one. As soon as I got home, my late night snacking started. I only took several bites out of that whatever the huge fish. And oh my goodness, it was so delicious! Well-seasoned with very light salt. Although I mainly got it for tomorrow morning/lunch I had a hard time quit eating because of its deliciousness. Extremely welcoming staff (I even met the owner, Alex as he was dining with his family), quality food and value pricing, this place checks out for the hidden gem restaurant that's not necessarily super fancy but it's worth every penny and time. Yelping is so much fun. That is why I cannot quit my foodie-ness! What a nice discovery!

I grabbed a seat at the bar where the bartender was friendly and engaging. On a recent Wednesday at 7:15, the restaurant was packed. When I left around 8:30, it was still busy. That's usually the best review a restaurant can get. Loyal customers don't keep coming back out of habit. They come back because it feels like home. The all-day happy hour margarita for $9 certainly doesn't hurt. The second one arrives before you've had time to argue yourself out of it. I ordered the enchiladas with carne asada and their house mole. If you're expecting one of those intensely complex moles with enough ingredients to fill a pantry, this isn't that. Adelitas' version is comforting, approachable, and deeply homey. It tastes less like a culinary experiment and more like something your abuela has been making for decades. The carne asada was tender, the rice and beans were exactly what they should be, and every bite reminded me why comfort food never goes out of style. Before leaving, I made the smartest decision of the evening. Tres leches to go. I devoured it later at home while Netflix asked if I was still watching. The cake somehow manages to be light while completely satisfying. Don't skip it. Better yet, don't pretend you're saving it for tomorrow. Adelitas isn't trying to impress you. It's trying to feed you well, welcome you warmly, and send you home happier than when you arrived. Whether your abuela was Mexican...or Greek...you'll understand exactly what they're serving here.
