Wet Burrito

Well. We really wanted to love and support this restaurant. Arrived to two waiters bundled up in coats. That's a bad sign right there. It's a pretty cold and sterile environment. Ordered beers, a margarita and chips. Chips were good, light and crispy. Margarita was as good as I expected. Nothing great. Now the tacos. We ordered 15. 5 pork (tasteless), 5 carne asada (crappy shredded beef at best) and chicken (the BEST!). The guys didn't want chicken, but we were so glad we ordered it. I asked for cilantro on the side because I hate cilantro. Instead of giving us the onions on top as the menu says, and the cilantro on the side, they gave us a mix of cilantro and onions. Well, so I couldn't have onions because they were mixed in with the cilantro. So on to the wet burritos. Mine, with chicken, was amazing!!! Highly recommend. The boys got carne asada. Again, shredded beef, weird flavor. They hated them. Salsa bar? Well. I would call it more of a "every sauce is so hot we couldn't eat it" bar. Even asked if there were any that were not hot, the waiter said no. We did enjoy the side plate of cucumbers (probably to cool you off from the only hot sauce) and radishes. All in all I might get a CHICKEN wet burrito to go next time...

Weekend: al pastor (yum!!!), steak taco (okay)
Linda N.

Weekend only - al pastor tacos are greasy deliciousness. Not a fan of their other offerings that i've tried. they're not bad, just not better than my go-to establishments.

I feel like this place has a lot of potential and space to do more it felt like things were missing. I ordered the mulitas and they were TINY! The pro is that you could pick different meat for each which i love because i like to try a little bit of everything. We thought it was okay but we will go to our usual.

I asked for NO CEBOLLA, but it's all over it
Ruthy M.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I've been back several times and it gets WORST AND WORST AND WORST. I will NEVER go back. This last time I went, I ordered 15 pastor tacos, NO CEBOLLA (NO F*K ONIONS). Server brought the tacos out and there's onions COVERED ALL OVER AND INSIDE the tacos. Server sent the food back and the cook waited about 1 minute and have the food right back in the same condition. I'm not allergic to onions, but my stomach struggles with it. Have some respect that unfortunately I can't have certain foods. There's been only ONCE that there food was served as I requested. It's very disappointingly, disgustingly sad!!!

#2 taco special -comes with rice and beans too

This taco location is hidden away in the corner off of sunset next to the Brick. Parking can be a little weird due to the angles you enter the lot from and the gas station in front. I've been here twice during lunch hours and it has never been fast. I always feel like service is slow, and personally don't like that you have to walk up to the front to pay as you leave. I've tried the carnitas taco special and the pastor taco special. They were both fine, but like other reviewers have mentioned, the meat is a bit fatty. They had a yummy flavor though and there's a great salsa bar you can try out. Other tables who didn't have to go back to work in a school building got yummy drinks so I'd like to come back when I can get an adult beverage too.

The BEST tacos I've had in Washington State and I've lived here for 25 years. Service was great! Tacos were soooo good.

Wet Burrito

Food was excellent. We tried the chicken tacos and chicken "wet" burrito. Burrito had a bit more rice than I'd like but the sauces and flavors were great. What reduced review is the atmosphere and service. It was a cold day and the restaurant was freezing. Also had quite a bit of trouble getting our waitress's attention. Good little place though.

Juicy and tasty $3 a taco got a variety pork and beef options to try all were quite good. Staff was friendly the outdoor picnic table dining was very casual quite good would return!

Doesn't look like much when you walk in, but the food here is great. Ordered a meal for pickup on a Tuesday where they run a 2 for 1 special on tacos! The meal was ready when we arrived and you can choose which salsa you want to go as well. The food was not soggy when we got back home (which is close-by) and everything we ordered was there, nothing missing. I haven't had a meal for dine in so can't speak much to that. Definitely ordering again

The service was great--everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. The menu is pretty extensive, especially when it comes to tacos, so there are plenty of options to choose from. I tried the asada, carnitas, birria, and adobada tacos. All were decent, with the birria being my favorite. The other meats weren't bad by any means, but they were a bit on the drier side compared to some other taco spots I've been to. The rice and beans were pretty standard--exactly what you'd expect, nothing particularly standout. One thing I really liked, though, was the self-serve salsa bar. It's always a plus being able to customize your flavors. One thing to note is that you do need to bus your own table, but considering the price and portion sizes, it feels fair and worth it. Overall, a solid spot for a casual meal. I'll definitely be exploring more of this area of Renton--there seem to be a ton of authentic Mexican restaurants nearby. We went late at night, so options were a bit limited at the time, but this was a good find.

But just as I was convincing her to give it a moment the staff came out from the back with orders, saw us, and we were quickly seated by the window. The space has been converted and feels that way, like the fingerprints of the previous tenant has not been erased. The menu is extensive with all the typical dishes we see in Mexican restaurants with very reasonable costs. They offer a few alcoholic drinks including margaritas, which I found to be splendid and perfectly balanced. The food also was tasty. I ate the enchiladas especial which seemed like fairly typical enchiladas and I mean that in the best of ways. The service also was great. Our waitress checked in on us often, was super polite and friendly, and was prompt with our bill. All in all a wonderful lunch!

I didn't take a picture. I had machaca, the flavor was ok but the food wasn't hot. Wife had huevos rancheros which she said they were ok. The service was bad. I had to get up to get my tortillas from the buffet isle. Waitress never came back to check on us after bringing our food. I had to get up to ask for my tab and pay at the counter. Their focus on the weekend was obvious, they focus on their buffet. I'll be trying other places near by. This is definitely not the place for me.

This place is such an unassuming hidden gem in the North Benson Center…read more From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a super friendly host who seated us right away. Shortly after, a very kind gentleman brought us waters along with chips and salsa, which was appreciated. The chips were pretty standard Mexican restaurant chips--not my favorite. They tasted slightly greasy, even though they didn't appear to be. The salsa had good flavor but was quite thin. Our waitress greeted us within a reasonable amount of time, took our drink order, and returned with our drinks to take our food order. Since it was our first visit, we tried a few different items. I ordered the steak fajitas, which were flavorful and came with a generous amount of onions and peppers, many with a nice char (which I loved). The steak was tender and well seasoned. I do wish they offered the option to mix multiple proteins. I also ordered a ground beef hard-shell taco on the side, and it was great--the shell didn't taste stale like you often find at many Mexican restaurants. My dining partner enjoyed his meal as well. The only downside was the manager or owner standing near the computer station by the entrance for much of our visit, frequently watching the dining room. Since we were one of the first few tables, it felt a bit uncomfortable at times, even though I'm sure it wasn't intentional. Overall, this has quickly earned a top-two spot for Mexican restaurants in Renton for us. We'll definitely be back.
