Ordered beers, a margarita and chips. Chips were good, light and crispy. Margarita was as good as I expected. Nothing great. Now the tacos. We ordered 15. 5 pork (tasteless), 5 carne asada (crappy shredded beef at best) and chicken (the BEST!). The guys didn't want chicken, but we were so glad we ordered it. I asked for cilantro on the side because I hate cilantro. Instead of giving us the onions on top as the menu says, and the cilantro on the side, they gave us a mix of cilantro and onions. Well, so I couldn't have onions because they were mixed in with the cilantro. So on to the wet burritos. Mine, with chicken, was amazing!!! Highly recommend. The boys got carne asada. Again, shredded beef, weird flavor. They hated them. Salsa bar? Well. I would call it more of a "every sauce is so hot we couldn't eat it" bar. If I could give zero stars, I would. I've been back several times and it gets WORST AND WORST AND WORST. I will NEVER go back. This last time I went, I ordered 15 pastor tacos, NO CEBOLLA (NO F*K ONIONS). Server brought the tacos out and there's onions COVERED ALL OVER AND INSIDE the tacos. This taco location is hidden away in the corner off of sunset next to the Brick. Parking can be a little weird due to the angles you enter the lot from and the gas station in front. I've been here twice during lunch hours and it has never been fast. I always feel like service is slow, and personally don't like that you have to walk up to the front to pay as you leave. I've tried the carnitas taco special and the pastor taco special. They were both fine, but like other reviewers have mentioned, the meat is a bit fatty. They had a yummy flavor though and there's a great salsa bar you can try out. Really really good tacos. I had the Chorizo, Asada and Barbacoa tacos and all were very tasty. All the meats were juicy and not overcooked. The salsa selections were good too...tried both green ones. Doesn't look like much when you walk in, but the food here is great. Ordered a meal for pickup on a Tuesday where they run a 2 for 1 special on tacos! The meal was ready when we arrived and you can choose which salsa you want to go as well. Coming from Los Angeles, I've been struggling to find some truly authentic Mexican food. I came across this hole-in-the-wall Taqueria in the same parking lot as the gas station, and I'm happy I decided to give it a try. Their tacos are delicious and are every-bit like the tacos I grew up with in Los Angeles. Fresh ingredients, excellent tortillas, and a nice selection of salsas to meet your taste preference. The reason I chose 4 stars over 5 stars is simply that I was disappointed with their meat on my last visit. I usually attend this taco truck is like all it and they serve good food about this. Last time that I went I ordered five tacos of beef or carne asada and I received. When I got home and looked at my plate it looked like the remnants of pieces of meat that been cooking or been in the grill for 12 hours because the meat was almost disintegrating when you took a bite. I mean it didn't taste like beef and I was very disappointed since I come off into this place. I also ordered a quesadilla which was okay. Tucked into the corner of a tiny strip mall, and perhaps unnoticed by most passersby, this is the place for cheap and well-prepared Mexican favorites. I'd been here a few times previously for chorizo and carnita tacos, and they were very good. With a high-ceiling, the restaurant has an open and airy feel. It's not fancy, having a linoleum tile floor and exposed fluorescent lights on the wall. But it does have a completely authentic feel - Sanchez could be a loncheria in Coalcoman. Thumbs up to the cumbia they were playing. The taqueria's meat display case, while not bursting at the seams, contained some handsome looking chorizo. Next time I make chorizo and eggs, this is where I will get the chorizo. On this day, the owner greeted me and handed me a glossy and attractive take-out menu (he must have paid a pretty penny to have those printed up). He then pointed to the types of meat they have for their tacos (they must have twenty different kinds of tacos!). He also pointed to a board that displayed the dozen or so entrees available. When I saw pollo asado (roasted chicken) with rice, tortillas, salad and beans going for a mere $7.50, I instantly knew what I wanted. To go with my lunch, I snagged an agua mineral (club soda) from the fridge. After I ordered my pollo asado, I wondered if I should have ordered some tacos too because I couldn't imagine getting very much food for $7.50. Good thing I didn't order those tacos. My jaw dropped when a young gal brought to my table a huge plate groaning with eats. At least 1/2 a chicken was there. The breast was huge! The way they prepared the chicken was perfect in my book. It was golden and a little crispy around the edges and lightly spiced with - I would bet dollars to donuts - Adobo, which is one of my favorite seasoning mixes. The menu stated I would be getting four tortillas (wrapped in foil), but I think they gave me closer to ten (corn) tortillas. Oh and I loved the Mexican rice - a very nice full flavor. Salad ingredients were fresh. The pollo asado is obviously popular. Two Mexican guys, who smelled of fresh laundry, sat down at the table by me and also ordered the pollo. And like me, they had agua mineral for their beverage. Definitely a delicious bargain! read more

Disappointing. We are all for supporting our local small businesses. We stopped by last night around 6.30p. There was a family of 5, 3 with masks 2 without, playing loud music from thier car and hanging out outside of the store. As people were walking in and out they did not allow for social distancing. We parked away and called in our order. It didn't take too long. 1 carnitas and a 1 asada wet burrito, $27.00 and some change. The eye appeal was great, initial taste was pretty good, after about 1/2 way into the Asada, we noticed that there was barely any meat, literally had to search for it. The carnitas, although tasty, the meat was burnt and crispy, like we got the end of the day sitting under the lamp leftovers. I can make bean and rice burritos at home for under 5.00. We ordered take-out prior to coming in and waiting about 15 minutes for them to prepare the food. We got a torta and a machete and both of them looked like they were good-sized. However, there were barely any ingredients within each one besides the meat. In the machete there was a decent amount of meat (which is delicious - I would recommend getting lengua here) and then just the barest evidence of queso. For the $30+ paid, it definitely was not worth what we got. This is our experience with their take-out, so perhaps service and food make-ups would be different once they can fully reopen again. read more
