I'm in that Reton area fairly often, and I've always driven past. Decided to stop by today, and try it. Filling food. Great prices. It didn't hurt that the couple operating the truck gave really friendly service. They have a new customer.

The truck. In all its glory next to a lingerie coffee stand, and a U-Haul center.

I ate here once last weekend, it's a taco truck, and had a carnitas burrito, which is one of my standards. It was... basic and good? The pork was good, sort of dry but tasty. The shell and rice were fine. The beans were refried which would not have been my first choice. The 2 included salsas (in tiny cups, there was not enough) were flavorful and mild. There were lime wedges available which was nice. So if you put a lot of sauce on the burrito it was good. The ingredients were not well-distributed, so I had a lot of all-pork bites and a lot of no-pork bites, which is a pet peeve of mine. If they could switch to whole beans and coax some more interesting flavors out of the burrito then they could really have something here. The lady working inside was nice and the prep time was about 5 minutes which was fine. There was some covered seating that I did not use. It was cold out so I went back to my car.

Pork and chicken tacos! $1.50 each plus rice.

Never unhappy!! Best tacos around. I loved the chimichanga, rice, and horchata. I won't go to any other taco truck.

Pretty good and tasty food truck. I ordered the tacos and a horchata to drink. Fast service and they accepted my Visa card.

The service was great--everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. The menu is pretty extensive, especially when it comes to tacos, so there are plenty of options to choose from. I tried the asada, carnitas, birria, and adobada tacos. All were decent, with the birria being my favorite. The other meats weren't bad by any means, but they were a bit on the drier side compared to some other taco spots I've been to. The rice and beans were pretty standard--exactly what you'd expect, nothing particularly standout. One thing I really liked, though, was the self-serve salsa bar. It's always a plus being able to customize your flavors. One thing to note is that you do need to bus your own table, but considering the price and portion sizes, it feels fair and worth it. Overall, a solid spot for a casual meal. I'll definitely be exploring more of this area of Renton--there seem to be a ton of authentic Mexican restaurants nearby. We went late at night, so options were a bit limited at the time, but this was a good find.

For this visit I only did takeout, though I did get a chance to go inside with my friends as we were waiting for our orders. It's bright and extremely casual inside with ample seating, though nearly everyone that came in did takeout like we did. And there were people constantly coming in and out for the food here! Staff was quick in prepping everything and asking if we wanted extra sauce on the side. I got their carnitas plate, and as a takeout portions are huge here! Meat was flavorful, tender and savory; the jalapeños added a nice spice to the dish; and the extra sauces on the side added even more spice onto it that I enjoyed. The dish was wrapped well in a disposable aluminum plate and covered as well. This went for all of our orders, which included the burrito plate and taco salad. This place is easily one I'd come back to for Mexican food at a great price and quality!

But just as I was convincing her to give it a moment the staff came out from the back with orders, saw us, and we were quickly seated by the window. The space has been converted and feels that way, like the fingerprints of the previous tenant has not been erased. The menu is extensive with all the typical dishes we see in Mexican restaurants with very reasonable costs. They offer a few alcoholic drinks including margaritas, which I found to be splendid and perfectly balanced. The food also was tasty. I ate the enchiladas especial which seemed like fairly typical enchiladas and I mean that in the best of ways. The service also was great. Our waitress checked in on us often, was super polite and friendly, and was prompt with our bill. All in all a wonderful lunch!

I had to get up to get my tortillas from the buffet isle. Waitress never came back to check on us after bringing our food. I had to get up to ask for my tab and pay at the counter. Their focus on the weekend was obvious, they focus on their buffet. I'll be trying other places near by. This is definitely not the place for me.

Shortly after, a very kind gentleman brought us waters along with chips and salsa, which was appreciated. The chips were pretty standard Mexican restaurant chips--not my favorite. They tasted slightly greasy, even though they didn't appear to be. The salsa had good flavor but was quite thin. Our waitress greeted us within a reasonable amount of time, took our drink order, and returned with our drinks to take our food order. Since it was our first visit, we tried a few different items. I ordered the steak fajitas, which were flavorful and came with a generous amount of onions and peppers, many with a nice char (which I loved). The steak was tender and well seasoned. I do wish they offered the option to mix multiple proteins. I also ordered a ground beef hard-shell taco on the side, and it was great--the shell didn't taste stale like you often find at many Mexican restaurants. My dining partner enjoyed his meal as well. The only downside was the manager or owner standing near the computer station by the entrance for much of our visit, frequently watching the dining room. Since we were one of the first few tables, it felt a bit uncomfortable at times, even though I'm sure it wasn't intentional. Overall, this has quickly earned a top-two spot for Mexican restaurants in Renton for us. We'll definitely be back.
