I was intrigued because I reviewed their website for their monthly menu series: cheesecake with…read moresalted yuzu curd, Hong Kong milk tea with toasted white chocolate, chocolate caramel smoked budino, starling sweet potato buckwheat crumble, and caramelized plaintain with spicy pecan brittle. I wanted to try most of those flavors. Sadly, none of these were available when we visited. Instead, my husband, daughters, and I shared a flight with waffle cone: birthday cake and blackberries, huckleberry oat crisp with foraged porcini, salted malted chocolate chip cookie dough, and chocolate gooey brownie. Not quite as unique as the flavors mentioned above but these were still out of the ordinary and very delectable. My favorite is the huckleberry oat crisp with foraged porcini. My parents had the dairy-free strawberry and coconut water sorbet and hazelnut cookies and cream in a waffle bowl. My mom is usually indifferent to ice cream but she said this was exceptional. There are plenty of outdoor seating with a mini splash pad. It was crowded when we visited on a late Friday afternoon.

Salt & straw is a must-do when you're in the PNW. We have them in CA but it's not the same! I've…read morebeen a fan for years since back when I lived in OR so I always make a stop when I'm back. I loved that this location had a large outdoor seating area and plenty of staff to balance the line. Even staff talking to you while you're in line! The flavors are always special, the july fruit flavors were fun to try. Great place as always and a great location

It was our first time here and I cannot believe I haven't been here sooner!…read more Staff were super helpful and friendly! They were so patient as we tried, what felt like a hundred, flavors! I ended up going with a a small Monkey Business and my partner went with Orange Dream in a waffle bowl. The Monkey Business had fresh banana and it was like nothing I've tasted before. The banana flavor is just enough. It's not too overpowering. My partner's Orange Dream was also delicious! Orange Cream anything is my go-to! The Orange part was orangey and the cream part was creamy! Fair warning: their scoops are gigantic!! A small feels like two scoops, which I am not complaining lol The waffle bowl, I believe had 3 scoops! I also tasted the following, which were all delicious: - horchata - pistachio - butter pecan - raspberry sheet cake While the inside is strictly for ordering ice cream, they have plenty of outdoor seating right outside.

I ended up getting the taro flavor, strawberry cheesecake, mango sherbet, and the chocolate flavor with chocolate chips in it. Ended up enjoying the taro for its creamy flavor and the tart mango taste of the mango sherbet. I was sharing this with my dad and he thought the mango sherbet had a really strong mango flavor! The prices here are fairly affordable, it was like $8 for 4 flavors. A friend of mine recommended this spot to me and I found it neat that it was super close to me. Don't see myself returning as I found hair in my ice cream half way through eating, but overall a neat establishment.

Below are the goodies that I bought and gifted for being the top 20 customers in line. What I bought: 1. Bunny pudding: SO CUTE! I've seen this trend everywhere and am so glad that they have their own version. It was adorable. For $6.50 I was a bit skeptical because I thought it would be cheaper. However, it was too cute! It was good. Subtle in flavor but the texture was nice. It was thick pudding. I think it took me 2 days to nibble on it with my mom so we could enjoy it. The jam with it WAS AMAZING! I loved the slight tartness to it. The only thing was that the jam was red and it was behind the bunny so it looked...yes...you can be creative there haha. 2. Salted egg yolk cookie. Love salted egg anything and was surprise to see this as a cookie! Love the Asian flavors! It was lovely. It also had a little bit of a leaf on it and it created a little curry flavor taste. I don't know what it is but combined with the salted egg, delicious. It was my first time trying a more savory cookie. Gifted: They also gave me a salted egg yolk cookie which was great, I got 2 haha. 1. Chocolate macaron. I don't really like macarons because they're usually too sweet. However! This was good. Not too sweet and the chocolate flavor was present. It was a good size and it was super cute 2. Matcha macadamia nut cookie. I've had this one before, still good! 3. Brownie chocolate cookie. THIS WAS MASSIVE! Huge~! And yet, still chewy, fudgy, and full of chocolate. Yum! If you're a chocolate lover like me, you'll like this! I will drop by again in the near future!

When my usual bakery closed permanently in Portland, this gem came on my radar. Unbelievable that…read morethis little store is just a few minutes drive from my parents' home. I was on the look out for some delicious cake. Unique flavors and beautiful decorations just happened to be a perk. Minh, the owner, the matter how busy it gets, is always so personable and enthusiastic. She brought two visions for two of my daughters' birthday themes to life within a reasonable range. One was a Mermaid birthday and the other Avatar themed. Both times we picked a pandan cake layered with pandan buttercream. Wow the structure held up very well after thawing out for a few hours. Cake was incredibly soft and moist without being too sweet. The Asian flavors mixed with a conventional American twist made for the perfect marriage. I really hope this bakery does well. It is such a treat to order cakes here. Will definitely have to try the durian or lychee next time.
