Oh. My. GATO. This…read moreis a hidden treasure taco spot. I'm spoiled because I had some really great tacos down the street from my house growing up and so I know what good tacos taste like. I lived in East Los Angeles and couldn't find a taco spot that was this good. I've gone to Mexico. I've been in different parts of Mexico and Baja. I don't remember the food ever tasting this good. Tacos, the corner is run by a guy and a girl team. I don't know their names because this was my first time, but the service was on point. They're generous with their portions and salsa, and their green avocado salsa is so amazing. I got two Asada one chicken and one el pastor. I bought the chicken taco because when I try out a taco spot with good prices, I always get their chicken tacos because you can tell whether or not a spot is gonna be good or bad by the way they do their chicken. Chicken is a hard meat to cook, even if it's thigh meat. This chicken taco was so juicy. I was pleasantly surprised. They also have burritos and horchata. I'm also a connoisseur of Horchata. I know it's not hard to make, and sometimes people use just powdered stuff, and even if this was powdered, it was the good powdered stuff. lol As for the ambience, it is a street corner fast food, regular. If you need a bathroom, there's a park down the street that has a restroom if you wanna go to the bathroom or wash your hands. The portions were so big I could only eat two tacos, which says a lot about an establishment because if they skimp on the meat, you know. They also had I believe Jamaica. For the Pasadena Altadena area? The spot is on point. It's right by the ACTS thrift store and the 7-11, so this is gonna be my go to Friday spot because I usually go to the thrift store to buy flip items or look for tees. I found a Japanese inspired Darth Vader Star Wars shirt (and got half off because a kind man in the store who was talking to me couldn't find anything and had a 50% off coupon so score for me). I thought my luck had stopped there- but I'm happy to say I found a happy belly too. I will return again! Thank you Tacos the corner!

I'd tried all the usual "best taco" spots, but BEHOLD... this hidden gem sets up right in front of 7/11. I've driven past it so many times while picking up my kids from school, and I'm SO glad the fam and I finally stopped by. Got a burrito (carne asada & al pastor mixto) 10/10, no question. A carne asada only burrito, also 10/10. 8 tacos (4 tripas, 4 al pastor) 10/10 across the board! The flavors were on point, every meat perfectly charred, and I swear I'm not exaggerating toda la comida estaba RIQUÍSIMO! This is officially my go-to spot from now on. Service was A1! Ambience was chill and calm!

We circled around looking for Secret Tacos Tomas expecting to find a tent set up outside, but we…read morefound green lit food truck called Tacos Los Poblanos. Nothing has changed, Tomas is still behind the grill serving up tacos. The staff are probably just adjusting to the smaller workspace so quality might not be as consistent as before. The tacos were truly loaded with meat, surprised that the single corn tortilla held everything together nicely. Carne Asada is an absolutely must order, and Al Pastor could've been a bit more charred, but it was juicy and grilled pineapple added the perfect finishing touch. The real winner was honestly the salsa bar. They were individually good, and each bringing a diffident heat level and flavor. Plenty of containers and plastic bags to load up at the condiment station, but seriously double up on all the salsas.

Unfortunately, I read the review about the cockroaches and I was already on edge. There were quite a few cockroaches crawling through the trees on the sidewalk of where the truck was parked. Food: Asada Quesadilla (5/10): Super cheesy quesadilla with decent amount of asada! Unfortunately, the asada wasn't seasoned well and lacked a smoky flavor to it. There was a lot of fat pieces in here that were inedible that I had to spit out. The green salsa they provide at their salsa bar helped with the flavor. It was a pretty big quesadilla that can be shared between two people!

Dip your tacos into it and then throw some corn from the salsa and toppings bar into it after to finish up as a soup if you have any left over! The red and green salsas are both great and love the pickled red onions. It's in a permanent spot, but it's technically an outdoor truck/stand kind of setup. There are a few tables and benches set up if you want to eat there, and the food will come out on metal trays. Just note it's all outdoor seating. Otherwise you can also request your food to go and it'll get packed up for you. Went on a Tuesday evening and there was only a few other people there, one group dining there and most others getting it to go. If you eat there, I recommend bringing your own pack of wet wipes for your hands! Birria tacos get particularly messy! Otherwise there's just napkins and hand sanitizer for guests. No customer bathrooms available from what I can tell. Parking was pretty easy. There's a small dirt lot you can pull into. Otherwise street parking in front or on the side streets as well. Highly recommend this spot!

Foods were packaged to go. I wanted to try the fried oreos. Drove up, told them what I wanted, was able to pay by credit card and was quickly given my food.
