31/03/23-16:30-Excellent food. Friendly service. Good English spoken but Spanish speaking is much appreciated. I had the Camarones Empanizados(deep fried shrimp with chips). My first time having Papusas. A type of tortilla. Very yummy. I'm not a fan of judías(beans), but it's very yummy here. Rice is tasty too. Staff very friendly and attentive. Fair prices by San Francisco standards. Highly recommended! Outer Mission area.

    super pupusa $4.50

Almost all the tables were filled on a Wednesday for lunch. That's pretty rare for an outer Mission restaurant nowadays. It is a testament on how good the food is. The waitress carded me for my vaccine card before allowing me to order. I had the super pupusas $4.50 and a prawn soup $14.50 for lunch. The super pupusas had a good amount of cheese, chicken and little pieces of vegetables inside. My prawn soup had six pieces of shrimp with vegetables on a red tomato base. Both were very good and I had no complaints. I liked how I can dip the tortilla onto the soup and eat it soaked with soup. That was a good lunch.

New menu 2021 You can eat inside if you prove that you have your COVID vaccine or you can take it, waiting time 30 minutes ,

Side order of "plátanos frito" fried plantain. Good

Lunch date with my love. Waiting time 15 minutes for food to arrive to our table. But it was worth the wait we arrived around 12:00pm and finished at 1:10pm. We had a great experience trying Central American cuisine and we weren't disappointed. We'll be returning soon with friends/family. Customer service was great.

I love their pupusas. They are my go to place for authentic Central American food! Very friendly staff that treat you like family! Definitely giving this neighborhood more life.

The pupusas are very good especially the mixed bean and pork. Crispy outside from the cheese and well seasoned.

Bad customer service from the owner. Food it's okay. But he needs to learn how to treat the customer. Bad experience.

One of the best spots in the city for pupusas, hands down. I'm not listening to the…read morenaysayers--these pupusas hit the perfect balance of cheese, beans, and pork. Other spots I'm eating masa. Unlike many places that serve greasy pupusas, these are nicely made and not greasy. We usually order takeout since the dining area is small unless you go early. Parking can be a headache, but I've always managed to snag a spot (knock on wood). The staff are friendly, and we always leave full and happy!

Here's a cIf I'm being honest, the only thing on their menu that lives up to any of the hype is the…read morepupusas. Everything else falls pretty flat. Even then, the pupusas are hit or miss. I'd give them about a 3.5 out of 5. On a good day, they come out with that perfect golden-brown finish. On a bad day, they look and taste undercooked to the point where I've had to throw them back on the stove at home just to make them edible. The ambiance doesn't do much to help. It's your typical Mission-style Latin restaurant, kind of sticky and worn-in, but in a way where you can't quite tell if it's part of the aesthetic or just a lack of upkeep. Now, let's get into why this leans closer to a one-star experience. The staff consistently come off like they'd rather be anywhere else. They don't smile and often come across as rude. Timing is basically a suggestion here. If you place a takeout order, plan well ahead, at least 45 to 60 minutes before pickup. Every single time I've called, I've been told 25 to 30 minutes, only to arrive and wait another 15 to 20 minutes. Without fail. And in a neighborhood where parking is already a headache, with limited meters and tight timing, you'll feel that delay. Your patience will absolutely be tested. Don't say I didn't warn you. Update: Today's order included a hit inside the cheese mixture of the Pupusas. Disgusting.
