Flavorful but not much to it
    Robert C.

Decided to try this lunch spot with coworkers. Plenty of parking on the street or in their lot. Walk up to the counter and a huge menu is on the wall. The counter person was friendly. I ordered the Combo 1- 2 pieces of grilled chicken, corn tortillas, side salad of choice... I got potato salad, and a drink. Food comes out fast- the kitchen is open and they had a ton of grilled chicken ready. I got my tray and paper plate; not much with presentation as the chicken is on the plate with nothing else. The pieces were well seasoned but the pieces were pretty small. The drumstick was small and the 2nd piece was a side rib piece which was mostly bone. The cup of dipping salsa was good. The potato salad was decent. Not much to talk about... the chicken was good, but it was a small serving without much meat. We won't be back.

Think of this as non-chain El Pollo Loco with more variety of food such as fish. I really like the no-frill feel of the place and when you pay for your meal they don't have the stupid tip amount most other restaurants do when you pay with credit card. The chicken is tender and reasonably priced. My main problems are 1. They need to develop some sauce for the chicken because the only sauce they have now is salsa which is not optimal for the chicken. The result of this is that I actually prefer El Pollo Loco over this place because of the choices of sauces. 2 Parking is ridiculously tiny (both in terms of availability and the size of each car stall. If they had peri peri sauce it would've been perfect. It's still worth going since there really isn't any El Pollo Loco nearby and I like the no-frill service and that tip is truly optional.

I ordered a half grilled chicken via Door Dash and this is what I got (see photo below). Chicken was burnt, lukewarm and bland!

I must say the chicken here is always a hit. My bf introduced me to this place a while ago as he grew up eating here. This time my friend and I were in the area and decided to have lunch here. Normally this place gets packed by noon. We decided to get the 8 pcs Family Pack combo because why not. When we first got it we were shocked as to how big the servings were for the side. But let me tell you, we devoured the whole thing like we haven't ate in days . So, I think we got our monies worth for sure. Chicken was moist and had their Cuban taste and great with all the sides we got. The place has plenty of space inside to eat. They have their own parking spaces outside. There's buses that stops nearby as well.

Grill and seasoning 10/10, but very small pieces.

It's been YEARS since we've came back here and since we were in the area, decided to come back and have it again. The nostalgia from eating this charbroiled chicken and salsa brings back so many good memories! Got the family pack deal with 8 pieces of chicken, 2 sides, tortillas and salsa. Also an order of fish and chips. The chicken is very well seasoned and grilled however, I wish there was more meat on the bones. The pieces are very small. The Spanish rice and beans are really good along with then salsa. The fish and chips were decent. Seems the recipes have stayed the same and it was worth coming back. We were too hungry to take a lot of pics. So I quickly snapped a pic of the chicken. Overall a solid 4.25 stars.

We can't wait to go back to El Pollo Supremo for some delicious chicken! Everyone was super friendly and helpful, being that it was our first time there. Man, my favorite part was the crunchy and flavorful skin. I had the chicken with rice and plantains and husband had the rice and beans for sides. We can't wait to try all the other yummy stuff they offer next time we are in San Francisco. The ambiance was family friendly, which is always a plus!

The chicken is extremely delicious . Always courteous and the service is amazing. I strongly recommend this place for any occasion.

I use to frequent this place more back in the days. I had a chance to try it again and it was almost exactly the same. The chicken had some Latin flavor and the beans and rice enhanced the taste. The tortillas were on point. This is a great alternative to having fried chicken.

I've been seeing signs outside the building for awhile now, and have heard from others who have tried Crave to give them a try. One time a colleague brought it in with some curly fries on the side, so obviously that means I have to try it now. The pricing for the food here is adequate. With other options on campus that's comparable, they had to make sure that it wasn't too expensive, and they're not. They do also offer vegan options, which I'm sure is a plus for many on campus, at least for a few people I know who would like this option. The online ordering process is fine. They go through snack pass, so if you're new to it it doesn't take long to register through it. There is a service fee of course, but not too bad since it's just for the app usage. There's Apple Pay available but also regular credit card payments accepted. They also do Grub Hub, through seamless but just be aware of the additional price increases as a result. The food here is okay. Nothing out of the ordinary, but also decent. The chicken sandwiches here is the tender style sandwich. Rather than one single piece patty style, it's multiple tenders inside. The sauce here is alright. I got the Korean and ranch sauces. The sandwich was just decent, but I've certainly had better. I actually enjoyed the curly fries more than anything, and they give you a pretty good portion of it for the price so I may just order that next time for the side by itself. Overall, Crave's is not a bad option, especially for students and staff that are on campus. The price is comparable, and perhaps on the cheaper side if you just want the sandwich, and you can also do the combo meals w/curly fries and drink. It's basically all self-order online or through their kiosks in front of the kitchen. There's not much staff there, so when they get busier could be a wait. Food is adequate, but nothing spectacular. Since I work on campus, I'll probably be back again at some point, at the very least, for those curly fries.
