It's too crowded most of the time for me to enjoy their beer on site, but there's always a crowler/growler to enjoy their excellent beer (best in Rapid City) on my less crowded porch! Awesome little brewery on the outskirts of downtown Rapid City. Blink and you'll miss it! They have a decent selection of rotating beer on tap, most of which is also available in growlers. No food but it looked like they had a rotating schedule of food trucks parked out front. Nice little patio area and two inside seating areas. Be prepared to sit with people you don't know, it's a pretty communal feel. I can't speak to most of the beers as I only tried the Ultra Dandy pineapple IPA but it was probably the best IPA I've had. I took a growler with me but I wish I could have taken more since I'm an out of towner. Dog friendly and kid friendly as well (they have a few sodas available). They also have a small selection of board games available. Wish we had a teleport from Denver, we will miss this place! read more

My fiancé and I were moving from Portland to Wisconsin and stopped here during our stay in Rapid City. Being from Portland, we have high standards when it comes to beer and these folks are pumping out some amazing beers. Great little tap house and a must stop if visiting the Black Hills. This place has awesome atmosphere and friendly staff. Love the tap room decor and design. They have great beers too! We did a flight plus 2 additional tasters so we could try all 6 on tap. No off flavors and everything tasted great. Really liked their Smokewagon Coffee Stout and think a touch more malt would make it even better. Their Dakota Common is spot on! Such a refreshing lager. Spoiled by the many breweries that sprang up in Little Rock, Arkansas before I left. I have found yet another to continue the spoiling. Enter Lost Cabin Brewing...! Their name came up while I was talking to the good people at the coffee house I frequent. They suggested it, and it's become a Saturday afternoon destination. But you all aren't here for the background. You're here for the cold hard facts... and here it is: - a menu with a lot of variety - solid tasting beer - a helpful and knowledgeable staff - a comfy environment for its patrons - canine companion friendly I've noticed that they try to swap in a new brew to the menu weekly. This is in addition to the major players that make up the normal menu. For those that know of its glory, and for those that don't. They serve a Randall infused beer on Fridays between the hours of 1600-2000. So, let me leave you all with this. The staff is always welcoming, friendly, helpful, you name it, etc, etc, etc. They represent their brand well in order to keep you coming back for more, and as they're continuing the spoils they'll be seeing me for a long time to come. read more

Came in early afternoon with my son who is under 21 only three customers on site. This guy at door got all huffy turned us away because they are at half capacity and only accepting people who are 21. I totally get that when it's busy but a 3pm on a Tuesday and you have three customers?-come on.Would be totally willing to leave if there was a mad rush on their beer in the time we were there. Also he could have been nice didn't have to be a duche like he was trying to impress the ladies working there. read more

Best brewery in Rapid City! Great variety of unique craft beers and an excellent variety of beers with less than ~6% abv. They're also dog friendly!! My wife and I travel the US, and breweries are our passion. Lost Cabin ranks in the top five we've ever been in. Most importantly, the beer is sensational. We're IPA fans, and usually stop there, but we had flights and tried almost everything. We've NEVER had barrel-aged beer that tastes so good. Luckily for us, the service is just as good as the beer. Since we're retired we get to visit places during off-peak hours, and we get to speak the bartenders and locals more than most people. The bartender was fantastic (smiling, funny, informative), and the other customers we met were fantastic. When visiting a town we rarely visit the same place twice (too many other options), but we made a point to come back to Lost Cabin again (a different day) because it was just that good. We wish every place we went was this good. read more

This place was awesome. Beer only. However you can order food from the food truck next door. In fact the food truck actually brought the food to us! We met he owner who also served our beer. She and her husband started the place and I believe with another couple. The decor is very cool woodsy style. The sell microbrews beer and gear (tshirts, hats, etc.) and that's it. Loved this place! They had some many different beers to try, 3 flights to try all their different brews. The idea is great. You get the woodsy vibe inside and the logo and merch was so cool. Super friendly staff and a busy place. Plus, there was a dog inside, idk about you, but when I'm drinking beers inside a "cabin" you wanna random sweet dog to pet. They also had a food truck outside in case you got hungry. Defiantly worth a stop. read more

Beer is decent but we didn't like the "community seating" picnic tables and sitting with strangers. Also every time we have been there people brought in their large dogs and although we love dogs, we don't appreciate sharing our experience with them. Enjoyed a fantastic beer and food pairings last night with Lost Cabin at the Blind Lion Speakeasy!!!! This was hands-down the best dinner/tasting we have ever attended in Rapid City. The Blind Lion chef's selection we're not only excellent but his attention to the beer pairings was spot on. The beers were great and included a new one being released today. Can't say enough good about Lost Cabin beers. I had only had their Dakota Common prior to last night. But found others are even better.
