Finally got around to trying Millers All Day! Managed to get a seat at the bar on Mother's Day. There is usually a very long wait for a table, but the bar is first come first serve, and we had a lovely experience there. I started out with a dirty chai latte, which was great. Met my expectations for a dirty chai. For food I went with the King Street Bowl, which has a lot of yummy things in it like pimento cheese, scrambled eggs, potatoes, and more. However, when put all together, it was lacking flavor a little bit. It was better once I added some hot sauce, but it just wasn't my favorite. Next time, I'll try something else! read more

I'm not a big breakfast person, but I've always loved Miller's downtown. Please bring back the Brown Coconut Cream Pie... My good friend wanted to take me out for my then upcoming bday and we chose this spot. I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken B.E.C. without the bun, and it was presented beautifully. My fiancé and I came to visit this morning around 11:00ish. I wanna start with the good. One the atmosphere was great. Kinda intimate like I would come back here and enjoy a coffee or a mimosa with someone. It was very bright very clean. The hostess was wonderful. Our bartender/server Katie was a dream. She was kind pleasant and probably the main positive from this experience. The food.... Epic fail. We ordered biscuits and gravy... some Al le carte items for my 5 year old. Pancake.. egg (scrambled) and bacon. And I ordered a grilled cheese and tomato soup for myself. All of our food was lukewarm or kind of cold which was disappointing considering the wait. They had 2 large parties in front of us which were fine waiting its food and Bev but cold and lukewarm food is a major turnoff. My son's eggs were an interesting consistency to put it politely . They remind me of the eggs you microwave or you get a hotel during that continental breakfast. They were rubbery. My 5 year old refused to eat them I don't blame him. His bacon was very hard he passed on that too. And his pancake he also didn't like. It was kinda grainy. But this may be a restaurants choice. So I won't knock them for it. I felt bad disappointing him cause all he wanted was pancake eggs and bacon. :( My grilled cheese and tomato soup I didn't care for. The texture of the tomato soup was less soup more baby puree which can happen for a myriad of reasons. That may just be how it's served there it's thicker and more grainy. I didn't care for it took a few bites and decided to pass. My fiance didn't care for his biscuits and gravy either. I'll update more details about his experience when he tells me. Our food was virtually untouched, picked at. The only highlight I enjoyed food and drink wise was my iced caramel macchiato it was so good. So so good. I loved it. Overall this is not a place I'd recommend. I don't feel like it was worth the 60-70 we paid. Maybe in the future I'll try to give it another shot but completely underwhelming. read more

My wife and I had breakfast at Miller's All-Day Restaurant on James Island and overall had a very good experience. We ordered the biscuits and gravy, and the food itself was flavorful and well made. The first batch of biscuits did come out a bit cold, but once that was addressed, everything else was solid and enjoyable. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and attentive. One small suggestion would be to move the silverware-wrapping station to the back of the house -- our table was right next to that area, and it was happening throughout our meal, which was a little distracting. With that said, the quality of the food and the overall vibe made for a pleasant visit, and we'd definitely come back again. They always have the best breakfast! Well, at least their pancakes are my absolute favorite. I think about them any time they're not on a plate in front of me. My only quarrel is I was told they use local farm sourced products. Which I don't believe is true. Not all the time at least. I base this on their eggs that always have a bright yellow yolk that you typically see in store bought eggs versus the darker yolks that you see from farm fresh eggs. Correct me if I'm wrong. And I'd love to be corrected- let me know who the local source is! The staff is always very friendly, giving the best service and willing to the freshest cocktails. Parking is located within the shopping center and behind Miller's. Note that they are the busiest on weekends so plan ahead and get on that waitlist early. read more

This was a highly anticipated try as all the locals here rave about it. I ordered some breakfast to go on my day off from work and when I got it the 2 bacon pieces that come with the meal were not in the box and the home fries were so greasy it ran down my chin as I bit into the potato wedge. The grease from the potatoes was all over my eggs in the box too. I couldn't finish the meal as it was starting to hurt my stomach and just wasn't appetizing. I was pretty bummed. My husband and I visited Miller's All Day for the first time. It is a throw back to the 60's and 70's with a casual laid back vibe. It is located in the plaza with the Terrace theater on James Island. They have limited hours and close at 3pm. Seating is also limited, but they offer both indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated indoors in the back near the silverware wrapping station. I had a waitress directly behind me clanking silverware during my entire meal! Not good. I ordered biscuits and gravy. When it came out the gravy was cold. The waitress said they didn't have a microwave so we had to wait for the batch of gravy to be heated. Also not good. When I did get the new order with the warm gravy it was delicious. They offer freshly made salads and sandwiches and a full bar. If you want biscuits and gravy I recommend getting it early while the gravy is warm. I won't go out of my way to eat here again. Not bad, but there are much better places in the area. read more

Millers never disappoints! My mother in law who visits from Massachusetts always makes stopping at Millers part of her itinerary. We love sharing plates and the portions here are shareable! We started off with the garden Bloody Mary (also have a normal or spicy). We also both got their mocha iced lattes which is personally my favorite latte in town. Had a great time here ! I saw this online and had to check it out when I got to the area . I came and selected the hot honey BEC . It was huge but so delicious. The serving is pretty hefty and is very filling. The restaurant was busy the Friday I visited but still was able to be seated in a timely manner no more than 20 mintues. The decor inside is cute and quaint and very welcoming . Our server was very informative and helped me with choosing my food option . I did a mocha cold brew and a French toast shooter . We had some out of town guest so we needed a larger table, but still the wait this time was only about 45 minutes. As soon as we were seated the server came over to take our drink order. Naturally we had to order the cinnamon roll. And decided to also try the Banana bread. Omg!!! The cinnamon roll is to die for it is huge and delicious! Great place for a classic breakfast with a southern twist. I ordered the Mad Patatas Bravas and it was phenomenal. The staff were so kind. Had a great brunch at Millers in James Island. It was a busy Saturday so I do recommend coming a bit early. However, the flower shop was open next door and it was wonderful to have time and walk the shop. We very much enjoyed sitting at the bar and Katie, our server, was extremely friendly and wonderful. We enjoyed the cocktails she made us and her kindness. We are slow eaters and she didn't rush us at all. The hot honey chicken was the star of the show! Perfect texture, full of flavor and not overly spicy. Honestly the best fried chicken I've had in a while. The only dish we didn't love was the frittata. Before we left Charleston area and headed back home to Florida we stopped in to Millers All Day for breakfast. Wow this was a great breakfast! My wife and loved the pancakes (3 cornmeal pancakes with hickory syrup). Don't think we have ever had them made with cornmeal!!!! Awesome! The regular coffee was really good as well. We normally get Lattes at places. * Our waiter did a great job taking care of us. We arrived just in time before they started getting busy. We loved how the restaurant was decorated. I went here while i was in charleston and let me say, it is EXTREMELY overrated. We walked in with a 25 minute wait, but then we found spots at the bar. It was overall nice in the restaurant and pretty well decorated but there were some flickering lights right by the bar that were pretty annoying. I ordered the waffles and they were SO expensive. I got my food and the waffles were mediocre at best. They looked pretty but they hardly had any flavor and when i put syrup on them it literally didn't do anything it was like putting straight water on my waffles. The waffles were crumbly and the meringue was ok, i probably enjoyed the bananas the most which is saying something because i don't even like bananas. People should come to this restaurant of they want mediocre food for expensive prices. read more

This is hands down my preferred Millers location. The staff is next level attentive and cool and you'll get into the best conversations with them. Also the set up of the restaurant is just my favorite! They have such an awesome bar set up with half inside and half outside, and a nice counter. The food comes out so fast and is made with love. Had to wait an hour to be seated after getting there at 11:00, so I would suggest getting there early! Interior is super cute and has a little photo booth that you can use for $5. Definitely worth the wait! The grilled cheese and soup was to die for--I love sourdough! The salsa on the side of biscuits and gravy was super good, and the potatoes in the potatas braves were cooked perfectly. The only complaint would be the $2 charge for adding chocolate chips to the pancakes and extra $6 for a side of bacon. Would definitely come back! read more

I love a great breakfast place. We've lived in the area and are moving back. While house hunting we remembered this place and will have breakfast every day we are here looking.
