I'll start by saying I'm not really one to leave written reviews. HOWEVER, I feel that I really had to let people know about this place. I am a pretty picky eater but I absolutely loved their BBQ food. The workers are extremely nice and funny. They definitely make you feel comfortable and were considerate when we ordered food to eat later by offering to deconstruct our sandwich so the bread wouldn't get soggy by the time we're ready to eat it for dinner. It's a small spot almost like a hole in the wall and can be easy to drive past if you're not paying attention. They do have signs out by the road though that help with that. The food came out pretty quick which was great for a quick bite before a long drive. The first time I came I had the Baltimore street loaded baked potato and it was so good and very filling. This second time I had my bf drive me 40min just to get some food from here. I had the pulled chicken sandwich and baked beans and Mac n cheese. It was super good! Honestly I feel like everything on this menu was pretty spot on. Price wise - it's definitely fairly priced for how much food you get and the quality of the food. This place is so good and so fast, I'm just glad we stopped for lunch! The mountaineer nachos are to die for. Split them with 3 people and it's still a whole meal. If you're a fan of nursing home food or seven eleven then this is the place other than that save your money and just do it at home five times better easily. Visiting friends locally and wanted some BBQ. Nice, small place with outside seating. Saw on their FB page they had a special of Pork Belly burnt ends. I wanted to try everything, so we ordered those, pork ribs, pulled pork and pulled brisket sandwiches, and at least one each of all the sides. Everything was great! All the meats were tender and juicy. The burnt ends were rendered down nicely and meaty for pork belly. Loved the ribs! Sandwiches were large with a lot of meat, sauced well. And the sauce overall had a very good flavor. The sides were huge! Each one enough for two to share. Loved the beans with large pieces of pork. Cole slaw was very creamy, which is the kind I prefer. Max and cheese was good, and I think has some BBQ sauce mixed in. Mashed potatoes were thick with some chunks, love the texture. Green beans were good, but maybe cook with some onions to bump it up a little? My friends will definitely be going back. When I am out again will definitely eat here again. Only issue is it would be nice if they provided paper plates to eat from. Especially when you have a lot of different things. But absolutely worth your time! read more

Really good BBQ. The portion sizes are great. Try the stuffed baked potato w everything. They stuff it w 3 meats, Mac and cheese, BBQ beans, cheese and cole slaw. It's delicious and you get to try some of everything on the menu. I took a star off because there is no indoor seating. New name and location, same great food. The owner of 50 west BBQ moved across the street to a year round location. The BBQ is still outstanding. He serves pulled pork, brisket, chicken, and some weird stuff he makes up as he goes along. Some of his experiments are pretty tasty. One of my favorite dishes is the BBQ parfait. Not as much BBQ sauce as I would have liked (especially for the chicken which was a tad dry), and they charge extra for more sauce . No salt and pepper packets but a guy did bring us out a little cup of mixed salt/pepper which was nice. The girl at the window was not friendly. Had to ask her for some type of plate to eat the rack of ribs and sides on. There was a couple who was obviously new to the place. She set their food outside the window and didn't tell them it was there. It sat for a while before I told the couple it was there. We were out looking at property and came across this location. They offer a variety of smoked foods, but we all opted for pulled pork. You can get whatever toppings you want on it, I opted for the sandwich with cole slaw and barbecue sauce of course. I haven't had a good pulled pork sandwich out in years and this one was amazing.
