So my husband and I just tried this place today. We read about it in the Taste publication. We liked that they offer to steam your shellfish for you and the Lobster was fresh. We tried the fresh Ahi Tuna and it was delicious. The reason for the 4star is because of the mask issue. It's a very small space and I overheard staff on the phone stating that they"get very busy" so why not wear them? I was shocked. No signage on the door about 6ft or mask. I don't get it ladies. Keep yourselves and your customers safe. We're all in this together.

Oh my goodness! Run, don't walk, to Lotsa Lobster! I just enjoyed an amazing meal from them, and have leftovers that will be perfect for tomorrow! I started with homemade clam chowder that is so creamy and delicious with lots of clams. I am a fan of clam chowder, and this one is not heavy as in too much cream. It is perfectly balanced and seasoned. I only wish I had gotten more in order to freeze it! My next course was steamed shrimp. How delicious these were: big and sweet and seasoned perfectly, dipped in the homemade cocktail sauce that had just the right amount of horseradish. It was so perfect that I was even using my crackers to dip into the cocktail sauce. What followed next was some amazing smoked mahi dip. With the perfect amount of smoke and seasoning, the mahi flavor shined. On a simple Wheat Thin, the flavors of the fish and seasoning were delightful. For the main dish, we enjoyed lobster with homemade summer salad. The lobster was steamed, cut perfectly out of the shell, and served with clarified butter. I cannot begin to describe to you the sweet flavor of this lobster! It did not even need the butter, but the clarified butter brought it to the next level. The homemade summer salad, which included small limas, garbanzos, tomatoes, onions, and a light dressing with what I tasted as cumin, was a perfect accompaniment to this light dinner. We had to follow this with the Key lime pie pie from Lotsa Lobster, and I only wish I had extra pie to eat another day! The filling was perfectly tart and sweet with a light dollop of whipped cream and a perfect graham cracker crust. I heard that their coconut cream pie was delicious also, but I'm not a fan of this flavor. I want more of all of these dishes so that I can enjoy them tomorrow! Shop local. Support small business.

We bought oysters and sea scallops twice during our visit to Casey Key. It was fresh and tasty.

Quality lobsters and shellfish. Lobsters were alive and kicking. Oysters ( blue point) were decent with one questionable per dozen.

No defensiveness, just a quick fix and a smile. The difference between a good experience and an awkward one. First time I've had fish dip. It came complimentary as an appetizer. Very good. I'd have that anytime. I'm a convert. I had a shrimp Po' Boy and my girlfriend, the grouper Reuben sandwich. I could wholeheartedly recommend either. It was a very tasty visit. My parents raved about Walt's and how wonderfully fresh it is, and we were excited to try. We were brought some smoked white fish spread to start out. I am not huge on smoked fish spreads but I did really enjoy it. We got the ceviche and hush puppies to start. I wouldn't get the ceviche again (shrimp and some white fish I don't remember), but the hush puppies were very interesting and we did enjoy them. For my entree I got the snow crab legs with the recommended seasoning. This was a great move. I loved the crab and with the seasoning it came with I didn't feel like I needed to use a ton of butter. My husband got the triple tail, being one of the day's featured fish. We weren't in love with it, but it was our first time trying triple tail so maybe we could've gotten something else. The atmosphere is great, with the fish market right there in the restaurant. There's a nice waiting area with bar access where you can even get some appetizers. The staff was cool and attentive. Would definitely come back to dine or shop!

I haven't been in awhile but love the new layout of the store. Seems like it was needed to fit all the products and to make the aisles more easily accessible. The line for sandwiches was 5 people deep, lines at all the checkout counters as well. Bought fresh peaches, cucumbers, potatoes, and more. Rave: do NOT leave the store with one of the new blueberry handpies. This is probably the best handpie I've ever had. I popped it in the airfryer and it came out so flaky and gooey. Not insanely sweet either. Wish I bought more of them. Ate it too quickly to get a photo so I looked one up, it's wrapped in parchment paper and in a basket next to the donuts.

I come here at least once a week, he doesn't like people-especially kids. Definitely not a people person. When he was rude once or twice, I kind of shrugged it off to maybe he is having a bad day. But after numerous occasions of rudeness, we literally walk around the sampling station just to avoid any rude encounters with him. Still giving the store 5 stars because it's the best place.

Yes, Turtles has all of that-and I'm so glad I found it by accident. I was restless one Friday and pointed the car south. I didn't plan to go to Siesta Key that day, but when I was in that area-and realized how long it had been since my last visit, I had to go. I tooled around a bit on the northern end that I'm more familiar with, then headed way south on the Key. That's where I found Turtles. With its beautiful setting-and a big ol' parking lot, I was immediately sold. There was lots of seating inside-with its happy, coastal vibe, but I chose the outdoor patio-which has two tiers-one covered, one not. It was late spring and I knew the days of comfy patio dining were coming to and end for awhile, so this was the time. Besides-it was even closer to the water. I ordered fish, which was fine... and a rumrunner, which wasn't. I will definitely switch up my order next time. The service was kind-but maybe a little slow. That's ok. You're so enchanted by the ambiance and so chill, it doesn't matter. This was instant vacation, less than two hours from home. Every glance in every direction was postcard pretty. I basked in it-and look forward to doing so again.
