This Korean Market is located off Foothill Blvd & La Cañada Plaza Rd. In the Ross shopping area. Last Saturday 15th around 6pm, I needed to stop by here a get my Korean groceries. I love coming to this Korean Lotte Market, they have all kinds of fresh Fruits, Vegetables, Meats, snacks, ingredients that you really couldn't find at a regular groceries stores. They also have housewares, rices, instant noodles, soup noodles, Kimchi & all sizes! They have many varieties of drinks, coffee, teas, sojus, beer, wines, hot spices. They also have big varieties of refrigerated foods & frozen! I love they have so much Varieties & Everything here is of Great Quality! Their staff are always so welcoming & always sweet! Upon entering I noticed how super clean this store is, highly organized & with attention to details! Not only do they have Korean groceries they also have Japanese, Vietnamese, Chinese, and Asian foods here too! I also love that they have pre marinated meat such as bulgogi! And other delicious meats, veggies and seafoods all prepared, all you have to do is cook it or eat it . Their price points are spot on! The atmosphere here is always very Friendly & Welcoming, Warm. After years living in the neighborhood I finally got a chance to visit this store. Wasn't to impress with what they had to offer except that their prices were a little bit cheaper than the other local Korean markets around. The prepared food wasn't the best in quality or as fresh looking. Service was ok cloud have been a bit more welcoming. The market doesn't have much room so it looks like they just jammed packed the racks and shelves when you walk in. read more

You'll find everything from dry goods and pantry staples to fresh produce, a solid meat section, and a good selection of frozen foods. What I really love is that they carry those harder-to-find Korean items you won't see at a regular grocery store. It's super convenient when you don't want to drive far for specialty ingredients. This Lotte Market is one of the more well-stocked Korean grocery store in the area. The produce section is fresh, has a great selection of fruits and vegetables, and they have a lot of juices, snacks, household supplies, jellies/candies, and more. They also have readily prepared kimbaps or rice cakes that you can buy at the counter which all taste pretty good. Parking is convenient and workers are nice! read more

Unfortunately, this is not positive review. I have been shopping at the store over the course of 10 years. The man bagging the groceries consistently acts rudely towards me. I have been polite, ignored it, given him the benefit of the doubt, and even tried saying thank you when he bags my groceries. Today, I had enough. He made a rude comment towards me. This medium-sized Korean market seems to cater to Koreans in the area based on the products. You probably won't come here for friendly service. I have usually stopped in for prepared food like gimbap for a quick bite or snack when I am in the area on a weekday. Today, I spent a lot more time perusing the aisles. I noticed their large selection of banchan in the back and the sign that says "no MSG." At the larger Korean supermarket in my neighborhood, I am turned off that they use MSG in most of their banchan. Lotte Market also sells marinated meat for Korean BBQ and tons of snacks, Asian products, produce, and housewares. They also carry Korean beers I've never seen elsewhere. While I checked out today, there was little interaction. She just quickly rang me up, gave me a receipt and quickly moved on to the next Korean customer so don't expect friendly service or conversation at the register like at Trader Joe's. read more

Dropped a glass bottle unintentionally. Apologized and tried to help clean up the mess. Instead of just telling me I'd have to pay for the item, staff tried to "scold" me, highly rude and unprofessional. This place is a joke, give your support to other local businesses instead (eg Seoul Market). Will never come back here again. read more

I don't believe this location is affiliated with the original Lotte Mart in Korea. The signage and name are slightly different. They primarily offer Korean goods such as groceries, produce and prepared foods. I was in the area and my nieces and nephew needed a refill of snacks to bring to school. Be on the lookout some of the snacks are past its expiration date thats probably why I didn't buy the prepared food but Kimchi and stuff is usually a product that needs fermenting so you should be fine grabbing that. The prices are fairly reasonable and this seems to be the 1 of 3 Korean Markets in La Canada. Small but has a ton of stuff to cook a great Korean Meal read more

It's one of 3 small Korean markets within the area, with this one being my favorite for Asian style vegetables and fruits that you can't find at your local national- chain supermarkets. Pretty nice little Korean market on the border of La Cañada and La Crescenta, easily accessible on Foothill, and with multiple ingress and egress options, as well as plentiful shared parking. Despite the large Korean/Korean-American populations of La Cañada, La Crescenta, and Glendale, the one large Korean market on Pacific shut down, leaving only 2-3 little Korean markets to serve the area, and this one is probably one of the oldest. Came here with the mom after craving Korean food and getting only mediocre versions of it at the local Korean restaurants. Came for just a few specific items and was very satisfied with them: Acquired a large gallon sized jar of kimchi for $10.99 a pack of Jin Ramen, mild a medium-sized pack of various vegetables for bibimbap a medium-sized pack of various meats fried in egg and flour two packs of tofu a pack of floury mix for Korean-style savory "pancakes" I noticed that they also had some staples of raw soontofu, ready-to-eat yuk gae jang, and a bunch of assorted banchan. As expected, there is less variety and it's more expensive than the huge markets in Koreatown, but it pretty much does all it needs to do, and has at least the basics to satiate the Korean palate. read more

I like the location because there is plenty of parking and there is traffic light coming out of the plaza which is really helpful, especially during time/day when there is a lot of traffic on foothill. This store carries everything I need and more and I've never had any issue finding items that I needed. The only downside to this store is that they don't accept Amex so I can't use my Amex Gold to get 4x Amex points lol but that's such a minor "inconvenience" it rarely stops me from going to this store. read more

This is a great little market with excellent fruits and vegetables. I bought a box of strawberries, apples and some oranges that were the best I've had in a long time. The shelves were well stocked and although many of the grocery boxes and packages had Korean writing, there were things I bought that were in English too. I bought a package of Udon garlic noodles that was delicious! Definitely worth it to drop by this market! read more

There are several Korean markets nearby, but this one seems the most organized and cleanest. The fruits and vegetables are usually fresh and I typically pick up condiments such as pickled ginger, Japanese curry paste, sheets of dried seaweed, rice vinegar, etc. I wish I knew what more items were and I'd probably love them. The value of the goods that you can purchase here is relatively good and their store has lots of Asian groceries and snacks. One complaint that I do have is that this is one of the most densely packed stores that I've ever encountered. The aisles are super narrow and there are a lot of goods that are stuffed into the shelves. They have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and mostly Korean / Asian groceries. It is also good if you want to buy snacks and houses a lot of different groceries to choose from. My favorite thing from here is probably the Asian yams which are super sweet. There's a decent amount of Asian products, including Vietnamese/Chinese staples and a few Japanese spices, but mostly caters to Korean deli food and items (Korean staff too). As always, I like to scope out for vegan-friendly snacks and staples and found them to be priced similarly to Hmart and Zion (when there are no promotions). In a pinch, this place does help a lot, as they have fresh herbs and produce, instant stuff, grains, sauces, and a deli/meat counter in the far back. There was also fresh Viet flat rice noodles, which was a pleasant surprise - perfect for thai noodle dishes. For my vegan peeps in Glendale/Burbank/La Cresenta/La Canada area... there are tofu boxes, ethnic curries, sauces, marinades, and grains that are decently priced, so it's worth checking out if you don't find it convenient to go to Asian markets in Koreatown/Chinatown. The place is decently tidy, service was okay (dad looks korean, I look ambiguous asian, not sure if it matters), prices were acceptable (but not great); I don't see it as a staple in my list of grocery store, but it's kinda cool to see a small mom and pops Korean store exist in the area, especially since HK market in Glendale closed down. Parking beats the clusterfest that is downtown LA, since it's a huge lot. read more

We love to purchase our Asian snacks here. Many choices to choose from compared to the Asian aisle in the supermarket. Many different kinds of drinks also. Some ready made to eat food and dessert. We particularly like the one that looks like California roll without the ginger and wasabi. Not refrigerated. Aisles are crowded and kind of cramped. I see a lot of negative reviews about not helpful or being rude and they are only nice to Korean shoppers? Well, I'm not a Korean but they are very helpful to me and courteous. For example, I was looking for Japchae (Korean Noodle Dish) today. The lady at the cash register told me to ask the lady in the back part of the Store. So I did and the lady was still in progress of making them so she told me to wait 3 minutes. As soon as she finished, she packaged it quickly and hand it to me. I also asked the guy at the fish counter for the sea urchin and he let me pick the one I wanted. I think people reacts to the vibes we give out? They were all nice and I got everything I was looking for. The Japchae was very tasty and nice portion size. I will continue to shop here whenever I come to La Cañada Flintridge. Terrible customer service, messy and unorganized store. Unfriendly and unhelpful owners. Yesterday, after spending 10 minutes looking for an item which I could not find in the clutter, I asked the owners twice where that item was, and was told twice that it is in isle 1B. When I asked where in isle B, the male owner said "you have to find it yourself"! Never going there again.
