    A giant

The pictures make this place look way better than it is. Both of the employees were nice but the rooms... another story! When I climbed into bed, there was sand in it. Made me wonder if my sheets were even clean. Then I noticed I had a little visitor.... a giant cockroach! The room smelled funny and the floor was filthy. I let the front desk know about it and all they did was say they were going to call pest control. Some kind of compensation for this would have been nice. It was not a pleasant stay whatsoever.

Hair UNDER the sheet, in the sheets, and sand everywhere!

Awful for us! 2 adults and a pet for a family and friends weekend. We got a "courtyard view" b/c of the dog instead of a beach view thinking we would be closer for midnight potty break. -DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS, no where for them to potty but across a 4 LANE HWY or the beach! Everything is bricked or rocked in! -Courtyard View is a coke machine and parking lot NO GRASS ANYWHERE. -A/C's are not cold or blowing and STINK! -water damage everywhere (around shower head, ac unit, fridge, windows) - DIRTY rooms (dog hair everywhere), trash in corners, -busted bathroom sink, disgusting rusted microwave -2 electric burners (you have to ASK for eveything including pots/pans/dishes, etc) -I called and asked if they kitchenette room had a full size 12 cup coffee maker - they said yes! It was just a busted single serve tray machine with no tray or pods! -last straw were dirty beds and hair IN THE BEDS. (And UNDER the sheets!) Ok, I get it it's a budget place. We were not expecting nice- but we were expecting clean! When we left at sunrise the next day- cutting our trip an entire two days short, we noticed billing errors that will hopefully be rectified and the hotel DID adjust for the shorter trip. When asked "why", I sighed and just shared the room was not what we expected. They pressed for more explanations so I shared a few- but I was told "Those are only things upper management can fix. Too bad you did't get one of those rooms over there." (pointing to the beach). I said "yeah, we thought courtyard would be better for the dog." Seriously. We would have loved to be by all or friends beachside but they cost more and we wanted to have the kitchen to cook in and dog. What kind of crap is that? "yOu ShOuLd HaVe BoOkEd OvEr ThErE" it's all your hotel! Do better! TL;DR: Next year, we will BOOK over there- at another hotel! By then this Lotus Hotel place will have bed bugs anyway!

You're better off at a Super 8 motel than staying here. There is a lack of upkeep inside and out. The staff is not helpful as the front desk expected me to figure out how to make the TV work with a new remote she handed me saying I needed to program it without instructions. Included breakfast consist of an apple, a cupcake, and vendor coffee... not even fresh brewed. Basically, plan on eating breakfast elsewhere. Definitely not a place for extended stay and in my opinion not even worth a one nighter.

Super beautiful and "dreamy" on a budget it's clean & slick but simple at the same time super nice front desk woman! There's a lack in the breakfast department lol Overall great stay. Parking can be an issue not enough parking spots and it gets kinda busy here! Elevator works! No more messy construction. I saw previews reviews mentioning these two things, but everything since I'm place & normal!

Located in Ormond Beach just north of Daytona, Lotus Boutique is clean, updated, reasonably priced and located at a less congested section of this drivable Volusia county beach. The rooms have mini fridges with freezers large enough to accommodate a small bag of ice. They have minimalist bathrooms-sink, shower and toilet-but hey what more do you need to clean up after a day in the Florida sunshine?! There's a small kitchenette with microwave, stovetop, sink and two-seater table. Other amenities include iron, ironing board ( who irons at the beach???), blow dryer, pool towels, soaps, and TONS of electrical outlets, YES!! So you can charge your phone, tablet, laptop and dry your hair all at once! NO carpeting so there were NO musty odors, yay! There was an obnoxiously strong room deodorizer that I had to stow away in a cabinet for the weekend- it simply wasn't necessary. There's a very modest continental breakfast with muffins, fruit, yogurt, juice and hot beverages. From 5-7pm they serve wine, beer, cheese and crackers. There's a pool, hot tub and a fire pit. The shower at the beach entrance is broken BUT! There's a hose on the patio, you just have to look long and hard to discover it! Parking is another negative! If you manage to snag a spot in the lot, call Uber to go ANYWHERE once you've parked because the odds of finding a spot when you return are zero! Stay here, it's really ok!

The rooms were small but recently remodeled. There were multiple problems for me, they do not have enough parking and our phone in our room was assigned to room 206.....we were in room 219. HOWEVER, the biggest problem is their inability to document any conversations they have with customers. We drove almost 10 hrs arriving at about 230am. My wife had called and made arrangements for a late check out the next day. We had intended to sleep and the. Spend a few hours on the beach. We paid an extra $40 for this. I called down that morning just to cover this with them again and the staff on hand told me that if we did not check out by 10 am that I would be charged an additional $75. I tried to explain to them but they acted as if I was trying to pull a fast one on them. The man at the desk was very smug and told me they did not have any info documenting this. When I again asked him he smugly replied that he had been doing this long enough that he knew what to look for and that we did not have that agreement. He replies to me that we booked online and the booking agency may have agreed to a late checkout but the hotel did not and 10 am was checkout or face $75 charge. I asked him what the nightly rate was and he told me $99. Well I provided him a visual of the $139 charge on my bank card for the room and told him that was the additional we had paid for late checkout. Again he goes back to booking online......BUT WE DID NOT book online...My wife called and made reservations on the phone. Very unhappy with this establishment, Their desk attendant that morning was very arrogant and obnoxious AND VERY WRONG!!!!!!! Again, I did lose my temper with these people and I will never ever stay with them again and will tell others about how inefficient and arrogant they were.

We've stayed here probably 5-6 times thru the years. Really cute boutique hotel. We've stayed in different rooms and have always been happy. This last time, it was not that great. Service was not that great, bed was really hard, rooms are starting to show wear and we are pretty sure we got sick from coffee machine in the lobby that serves all kinds of coffee, tea, mochas, etc. for the one machine ( maybe it's not cleaned regularly?). The heat did not work in our room and instead of switching our room, at first they gave us a plug in heater that would never have warmed the room. After back and forth a few times, they finally moved us to another room. Just a combination of little things that unfortunately added up to us deciding not to stay there anymore. Sad for us because that was our "go to" for a quick night away. Now we have to find a new place.

This is wonderful hotel with extremely nice staff. Romantic place on the beach with beautiful views. Room is wonderful with everything we need and more . Welcoming front desk . We arrived late and Young Person welcome us like we are his family. We had nice conversation and we learned he is original fro Kenya . Before arriving from Michigan I had to arrange some changes to my reservation and lady over the phone was extremely helpful . This place is a Gem

So the hotel was great, in my opinion. Staff was great at check-in and the room was nice and tidy. It's also next to McDonalds and a gas station. Good especially if you have kids that only eat nuggets! Oh! And Cracker Barrel is next door, too. Which is always good. It's not more than 7 miles to the racetrack and right off of I-95 so it was easy to get out and get to the track. Definitely helped heading back after a long day. Breakfast was typical but not bad. I'm used to staying at the Hilton brands for work and these smaller ones have why you need...and it's included. So not much room to complain. If I had a gripe, a trendy barn door that doubles as the closet door and bathroom door. Doesn't, ahem, reduce sound when in the bathroom.

My recent stay at the Hampton Inn Daytona/Ormond Beach at 155 Interchange Boulevard, Ormond Beach,…read moreFlorida, 32174, was very poor. As a loyal Hilton Honors member, I frequently utilize the contactless check-in and digital key features designed to enhance guest convenience and streamline the arrival process. My experience at this particular location, however, starkly contradicted these anticipated benefits and fell significantly short of the high standards I associate with the Hilton brand. Upon booking my reservation, I was pleased to receive an email confirming my digital key availability and the option for a contactless arrival. This assurance, however, proved to be entirely misleading. When I arrived at the hotel, I found that my digital key was not activated in the Hilton app. My expectation of a seamless entry was immediately dashed when I was informed at the front desk that I was required to physically complete the check-in process, including presenting identification and filling out paperwork, before my digital key would be enabled. This completely undermined the very purpose of the Hilton Honors contactless program, causing considerable inconvenience and frustration. My attempt to clarify this discrepancy with the front desk agent, Brittany, regrettably escalated into a deeply unpleasant encounter. Despite my explanation and offer to demonstrate my active digital key option within the app, Brittany became immediately dismissive and hostile. She refused to acknowledge my concerns, instead accusing me of being "belligerent" while claiming she was trying to help. Shockingly, she then attempted to cancel my pre-paid reservation, an action that was fortunately unsuccessful due to the advance payment. Such professional misconduct is unacceptable and completely undermines any sense of customer service. Following this disheartening interaction, I requested to speak with a manager Jomarie Villanueva Perez a request that was denied. I subsequently reached out to the manager via email, detailing the issues I had encountered. The manager's response was not only unhelpful but also misrepresented the facts of the situation, offering an empty apology defending the employees actions. No compensation, or resolution for the extremely rude and hostile treatment I received from their employee. Beyond the severe service failures, the overall condition of the hotel was also disheartening. The property appears to be noticeably rundown, and I was particularly dismayed by a pervasive dog odor within the room. The hotel has a pet-friendly policy, which allows dogs for a nominal fee, the lack of proper cleaning and maintenance created an uncomfortable environment. Furthermore, the persistent barking of dogs was audible from neighboring rooms, particularly during quieter hours, further detracting from a peaceful stay. In light of these numerous and significant issues - ranging from the failure to honor core Hilton Honors benefits to egregious customer service and substandard hotel conditions - I feel compelled to advise other travelers to avoid the Hampton Inn Daytona/Ormond Beach. This experience was deeply disappointing and has unfortunately tarnished my perception of what I expect from a Hilton property.

This hotel was right across the street from Ocean Center where we would be headed the next morning. The hotel was massive having a south and north tower with 16 floors on each side. My roommate and I were ocean front on the 12th floor, nearly in the middle of the south tower. WOW, what a view! I didn't realize until arriving to the room there was no balcony. However, you could open a regular size sliding door to see and hear the ocean. There were bars like a balcony in front of the sliding door but you could only step out one foot on the tiny platform. I left the door open while I was reading and it was so peaceful to hear the ocean;) Parking was nearly two blocks away on the opposite side of the street and across the street from the entrance of Ocean Center behind a barbecue restaurant. This was a bit of a pain pulling the luggage that far. Plus you had to go up a steep incline to get into the lobby. I could have paid an extra $20 for parking overnight if I had used the hotels valet service. No thanks lol! We did get a discount for the parking lot because we were attending the conference. Instead of $35 it was $20 (with taxes $23). The hotel was a little dated. The light over the sink flickered. But did stop after the light was on for a little bit. The beds however were up to the Hilton standard as well as the pillows, nice and comfortable. I shared the room with a friend from church. I liked the feature of having an extra sink and mirror outside the bathroom. There was a mini fridge but no microwave. The desk chair needed replaced as the seat was very worn in. Service at the front desk was friendly and they helped answer all my questions about parking. It was a little confusing because you didn't have a ticket and I couldn't figure out how I would get out of the lot when the conference was over the next day. But the front desk attendant advised they would have someone at the exit gate to open it when the conference let out. And they did;) Thanks for a comfortable night's sleep Hilton!
