Owners are so nice and friendly. The food is fast, yummy, and a good place to sit for a quick bite or order to go.

Service is super fast, everything is crispy and delicious. Every time we've been for lunch it's been great.

There is much better Asian food in Knoxville Just go somewhere else The meats are heavily breaded and the flavor overall is disappointing

Use to be awesome food. Appears to be under new ownership for the past couple of years. I keep giving it a chance because it is just over a mile from my house, but it continues to slide down hill. Seems they are trying to cut quality corners to hit a price value. Examples, always get gyoza as an app. They were perfectly crisp and came with a fantastic sauce. We would order extra sauce because we would over indulge the dumplings in it. After ownership change, not crisp and different sauce. More of an orange sweet n sour thing vs the delicious vinegar, ginger & soy mixture. That was a year ago. My last trip, they gave me extra packs of soy sauce to use. "We don't have a dumpling sauce". Hot n Sour soup was the best prior to change. Always thick, spicy and the ingredients were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The best in town! The last batch was watery, no kick, and a couple of bites of the ingredients I had to spit out. I couldn't chew them. The bamboo shoots were hard, it wasn't because they were under cooked. More of an Inferior quality in my opinion. The rest of the food had that old oily Chinese oil flavor. Sorry Lotus Garden. I'm done. read more

It was okay. I ordered online and got the Singapore Curry Noodle, Tuna Roll, Tom Kha Chicken Soup, and General Tso's Chicken. I'll first start off and say the Tom Kha Chicken Soup was amazing!!! It's worth going back just for that. However, the rest of it was very mediocre. The Singapore noodle was a large portion which was nice, but it was all noodles and they were kind of dry. I was expecting more veggies and curry sauce. The rice in the tuna rolls tasted off. The sushi at Kroger I think is better. General Tso Chicken wasn't bad, but requested no broccoli and they still added it. The fried rice is very simple, which was actually perfect for my boyfriend since he has a vendetta against vegetable. Overall not a terrible place, their menu is huge so their might be other gems in there like the Tom Kha Soup, but I'll probably be trying other locations first before trying it again. read more

This USED to be my favorite Chinese restaurant. However, not anymore. I've waited to write this until after going more than once. I used to go every week. The same, fantastic lady came to my table every time and spoke with me. I moved out of the area. Thus, I only am able to order from there once every couple of months now. After a bit of time of being out of the area, I come back. The hot & sour soup is still just as fantastic!! BUT...the lady was gone. :( I ordereThe d the kung pao pork. There was little to no sauce and it was flavorless with weird slices of chewy meat...I assume it was pork. I go back today. The hot & sour soup was still amazing. However, the lumpia was very soggy. It was always very crisp before. I got my "favorite"...kung pao chicken. I decided not to go with the pork since I had the weird slices of meat before. Again, the wonderful lady was absent...the business was sold???? The kung pao "chicken" had one weird slice of "weird" piece of meat. I don't know if it was chicken or pork. I know it was dry and chewy. AND ONE PIECE for the whole entree!!! Little sauce. Very dry. Prices? They USED to be awesome! However, they are now grossly over priced for what they offer. Once upon a time, the lunch special was soup, egg roll, rice, & entree for $5.95. Today, I got egg roll, rice, & entree for $7.95. I added soup and lumpia to make my lunch total, right at, $15. Except for the hot & sour soup, I no longer enjoy Lotus Garden. It used to be my favorite place. No longer. This makes me sad. I've given them more than one chance and they failed, grossly, both times. I'll not waste my money there again. read more

This used to be my favorite Chinese place in Knoxville. We ordered the usual today and were so disappointed. Nothing is the same. Lo mein had almost no flavor and no sauce. No veggies except for two tiny pieces of green onion. Spring rolls just weren't quite as good. Even the shrimp sauce was different. Whatever happened, go back to your old recipes. The changes all suck. Also, the hostess was discourtious. If the old owner really did retire, maybe she could come back as an advisor for a little and help you fix the place? We gave them a few tries, each time we have it delivered and the order is wrong, items missing. We called to notify them, and they made no effort to fix the mistake, or credit our account. Was promised a call back, but never received. We will not order from them again, which is too bad, as we are trying to support small businesses during theses tough times. read more

This restaurant is okay. My food was very salty which is saying a lot coming from me. I think the food is overpriced for what it is. The service was good though and they were very nice to me. However, I probably won't be coming back due to the prices and the quality of the food. read more

DoorDash delivery was fast and delicious. Had multiple things. Such as the sushi and Singapore noodles. Both came perfectly cooked.

Used to be my favorite. Stay away from anything breaded. It's so mushy and so much sauce. There are 2 other places in the area that are great at fried food. The Tom kha coconut soup is the best in this area, it's perfect. The fried rice is just rice with a hint of soy sauce, so that's disappointing. The basil rice had weird basil last time we ordered. There was none almost and looked like raw herbs frozen and put on top. No flavor. The hibachi is good. The Chinese dinners are ok. The spring rolls are just cabbage and no seasoning. Also rice was crunchy in the middle but still soggy on the outside. 5 of 7 items were not good. I asked to add garlic on a breaded dish and it was probably 1/3 of a cup add. It seemed like they were mad I asked and mad me regret it. There was water from improperly strained broccoli pooled in the container as well. Skip this place unless you only want soup and noodles. read more

Do not order or eat there. We used to love this place but haven't tried it in several years due to Covid and the store being closed. We ate there after church, my daughter ordered the beef and broccoli. The tables were sticky, the floor was sticky and the bathrooms were disgusting. We got our food and were eating away, when my daughter asked if she was about to eat a bug. I thought, it's probably a mushroom, but my husband looked at it on a napkin and saw the legs. A baby roach was in her food. We all stopped eating and I took the girls to the car disgusted. The guy came running out after us to bring us a new dish, but yuck! We just threw it away. I dont understand why there are so many negative reviews because this place is great! Their takeout is very speedy and the quality is great. My roommate does takeout at least 3 times a week and he is never disappointed. The menu has a great Asian fusion variety so there are many things to try. Give it a shot! Come to find out that Lotus is now under new management. We were told the original owner would be back soon as she was on vacation (she actually retired). Not a good look to lie to long-time customers, you guys. Their Szechuan is nothing like it used to be, it's pretty much flavorless at this point, so we probably won't be back. read more

I'm so sorry, but this place is terrible. I'm sure the service is good, but I ordered delivery and the food was so bad. I ordered the beef & broccoli, with a side of sweet & sour chicken. I don't really think you get great portion sizes to begin with, but that's with most places nowadays... I hate to complain, but I feel so sick after eating this. The whole bag of food smelled like mold. The chicken tasted like now the inside of an old antique shop smelled -- musty. The fried rice that came along just tasted like soy sauce and water. I have been getting food from lotus garden for years and have always been happy until today. We ordered what we usually do and head home to eat. The sauce on the broccolli chicken was an orange color when it is supposed to be a brown sauce. The sesame chicken also had a different flavor to the sauce. I tried their teriyaki chicken and it had a very slight teryaki taste and the chicken tasted old. I found this to be strange as we havent had any problems in the past so i called to ask about it. I was informed that no one else had complained and that there had been no changes. I was also informed that there would be no refund because we had eaten part of it. I will never eat here again which i find really disappointing because i used to love their food. I hope that the money they saved by being unreasonable and rude makes them happy as they have lost my family as customers and i will be sure to tell my other family and friends about their terrible customer service. I look forward to finding a better restaurant that knows what customer service is. Goodbye lotus garden read more
