Very good pad Thai. One of only two places I've found in Texas with authentic and delicious Pad Thai since moving away from Juneau which for whatever reason has the best Thai food. Sweet Rice has friendly staff, reasonable prices and amazing food. Definitely worth trying. read more

Very disappointed. My first visit, and my last. This isn't real Thai food. It might as well be Panda Express. I had the chicken Pad Thai. The chicken was very dry, and the noodles were stuck together and dry as well. The flavor seemed off to me for some reason. Not authentic Thai spices. The place itself seemed nice, but as I entered the door and looked around, there was food under the tables, and I even saw a dead bug next to the booth by the front door. The young people working there just appeared to be standing around, or on their phones. Who's managing this place? I do not recommend. We have eaten here several times, dine-in and to-go. Even though it's a new place and most of the staff seem relatively young, our service has so far been great. We have tried several of the appetizers and main entrees. Our favorites are the cashew chicken, broccoli beef and of course the sticky rice. I appreciate that they give you the choice to pick your own spice level for the entrees. We will definitely be repeat customers. read more

I mistakenly ordered from here again. I ordered from Grubhub before and hadn't ordered it after that one try. Then I switched to Doordash and searched Tom Kha and this was one of the restaurants that came up. It wasn't until the food arrived that we thought...hmmm, this looks familiar...and sure enough, after looking at my GH account, it was! Sad to say, the restaurant hasn't done any improvement at all in terms of serving size. I know prices are padded in these delivery sites, so that's even worse! I ordered Tom Kha, riblets and noodles. The riblets is such a small serving, I mean there's only a handful of pieces and a majority of the pieces have big bones...so it even makes paying $11 for practically very little meat, really hard to swallow. Oh and this, the Tom Kha, well, the photo is the actual amount that came with the order... no joke, that's almost just half of the container! Again, $11 for practically very little amount of soup! It's incredible! Again, the food is good but boy, this is highway robbery! I don't understand how they can do that! Oh and you know how in many Chinese restaurants you get free white rice when you order certain dishes, they don't even give you any free white rice, but that's ok, not looking for freebies but, just stated it for context on how stingy they are with food. First time writing a review on a restaurant. I have visited this establishment several times and decided to try their Pad Thai during a work lunch yesterday. The Pad Thai was terribly sweet unlike any I've tried before. I told my server and he graciously offered to remake it or to prepare something else, and adding that they had a new chef. I opted on a different dish. He took my plate and brought the new dish out, which I enjoyed. When he brought the bill out he was visibly embarrassed and explained that the "owner" had told him to leave both dishes on the check and "see if she will pay for them both". I was confused because I did not eat the first dish, I couldn't it was terrible and they took it back to the kitchen. Our waiter was apologetic and when I explained that I didn't think it was fair to pay for both dishes he went back to the owner and was told to ask me to pay for half. We went back and forth again with the poor server serving as the middle man and ultimately I paid because I had to go back to work. The "owner" stood about 20 feet away from our table never once approaching us, instead he had this very sweet and young server do his dirty work. I will never be back to this shady establishment nor will I be recommending or taking my colleagues like I have for the past almost 2 years. read more

The coconut sticky rice with mango is AMAZING. Pad Thai, fried rice and larb is also always great. My family loves this place.

The noodles were amazing, very flavourful. You get to pick your level of spice and what meat you want. The portion is a good amount.

Food is good but service is horrible. Waited an hour for our food while sitting at the restaurant and turns out they put it down as a to-go order and our food had been sitting there. Had I not asked how long our food was going to be it still would have been waiting on the counter. Not to mention that they got our order wrong when we did finally eat. On my way to work, or before rather, I decided to try something new and I had a little time of my hands so I thought I'd try this place out. My partner and I decided to grab a bite, we had yellow curry and panage curry if that's how you spell it, yellow at level 3 spice and panage at 4 level spice, both quite delicious. We opted for the sticky rice and were not disappointed, it came out warm in a race basket wrapped to shape. We used it to dip in our curry and it was quite delectable, we both got beef protein and overall we'd call it a 8/10 experience. read more

Wow, what am unsuspecting experience and flavor. We had a long day and we were probably the last customers in what appears to be a very popular local favorite as there were so many people enjoying dinner or getting to-go orders when we arrived. We were pleasantly greeted and also informed dinner could take 28 minutes or so due to the obvious high demand for a small place. We agreed to the wait and even asked if we could come back in a few minutes when our order was closer to being ready. To my surprise we were accommodated, and they remembered us and our order when we walked in the door. The young man behind the counter was stealing the show as I witnessed him treat his teammates with so much respect even though the stress was high from a packed restaurant. He anticipated the needs of his customers and of the other employees as they all seemed to work in perfect sync with one another. And then, finally, our soups and egg rolls came out and we could see exactly what it was about this place that had us on a wait on a Sunday night, near closing. This was the best Tom kha soup I'd ever had. Everything was balanced in flavor. The egg rolls were fresh, and perfectly crisp. If ever I'm back up here in the area I'm stopping again. Our food was very good and the spice level was perfect at a 3. I had the Spicy Basil Chicken and my husband had Pepper Steak. Although being very short handed and bombarded with online and phone in orders our meals came out fairly quickly and the sparse staff was as attentive as they could be and in great spirits! Working down the street in healthcare it's hard to find a spot that isn't fast food. Discovering this place has been a saving grace and worth every penny! Came in and now I'm hooked !!! I even have my mom hooked. By far beats every other Asian inspired establishment in the area. The service is amazing and the owner and daughter are the nicest people and super friendly !! I had the fried rice to play it safe but omg it was the best fried rice I've ever tasted !!! Service was no good here. It all started when I walked up to view the menu and stood there waiting for a good amount of time. After a long wait I walked to the cashier and she told me if I'm dining in, then I'll be seated. However, she did not do anything for a while and I was just standing there waiting. Secondly, finally after I was seated i was ready to order food after about a couple minutes of looking over the menu. Sadly this was not the case. I was already seated and ready to order way before another group of girls came in. The group of girls literally came in and got seated right away and within 2-3 minutes the server took their orders first while I was waiting for a good 10 minutes. This wasn't the worst because while the girls got their orders all taken care of by another guy server he decided to just clean tables while I was literally next to them waiting to order. I know he saw me because we both made eye contact and proceeded to ignore me and kept cleaning and this went on for a good 15-20 minutes. I've had enough and just walked out because of their bad service. First time there was one a disaster and hoping they can read this and work on their service as it was very lackluster. read more
