I walked in almost a year ago and explained to Van what happened and she said, let me do your nails. You won't be sorry. She was 1000% right, I have been going back every 2-3 weeks for the past year. I'm not usually a person who posts reviews or complains about things, but I was so irritated by the time I got to my car that I felt as though I needed to say something. I picked the green tea pedicure which includes hot stone massage, callus, hot towel, neck/shoulder massage, etc and the lady doing my pedicure just seemed really distracted and didn't do all that it comes with so I had to get the menu and show her what I was supposed to get. By this point, she had already painted my nails and put my flip flops on so she was having to be really careful as she took them back off and went back and did the things she missed. Then, when it was time for the neck massage, there was a different lady and she was so rough with her hitting and slapping and even used her nails at one point to poke and I specifically asked her to be more gentle several times as it was not enjoyable at all. I walked away feeling as though I was slapped and scratched and definitely not relaxed. This is the second bad experience I have had with them, never again! read more

The nail techs were very nice and did a great pedicure and the place was clean and large. But the manager was rude, told an off color joke to my 75 yr old very southern mother and argued with me. Also, there were people waiting but he couldn't be bothered to do pedicures, I guess it was beneath him. Because of him we won't return there. read more

I've been going on and off for a couple months and I'll say the pedicures are average but Tanya does a hell of a good job on manicures. But the new management SUCKS! I had an Appointment today and walked in to the head guy telling me Tanya was not there. So I asked if I could have someone else, and he blatantly responded NO in such a rude tone. A lady who was sitting behind him who had NO client said you can make another appointment if you'd like. And by that time I was so pissed that I walked out. I went to Lotus for the first time to get a pedicure. I chose the deluxe pedicure with the lavender salts/ lotions. My pedicurist was wonderful. She let me relax (falling asleep in the massage chair) and gave the best massage. Not too hard or too light pressure. She was a perfectionist with painting my toes (which I appreciate). She helped me to the front by grabbing my bag and pulling out my chair at the drying table. The salon is clean and beautifully decorated. Prices are fair too ($35 for deluxe). This salon is conveniently located close to me at intersection of 15 (narcoosee)and 192 Publix shopping center. Over the past 5 years the place has changed hands and employees a few times. Now operating as Lotus Nails the spa seems to have found its groove. The employees are happy and caring (refreshingly new) and the services range from nails to lashes to waxing. The place is clean and well appointed. The equipment and facility is in good working order and the time hours make for a quick in and out even for walk in's most of the time. Time is precious so it's a one stop shop for me on my Saturday errands and I am pretty grateful for the convenience and final product. Hands and feet are even happier! read more

Worst place ever!!! Stay away. They did my daughter's nails and did not place the tip on properly. When I confronted Tiffany, one of the owners who did her nails, and asked her if she could fix the nail that was a problem, she said if I take one nail off then I will take all of them off. I said take them all off then because I refuse to allow my daughter to contract a fungus because water is able to get under the nail wrap. She told my daughter to sit down and had someone get a bowl with acetone to have her soak off the nails and she would refund me the money. Once she started soaking, I asked her about the refund she said she would give it back in cash. I waited 20 more minutes and then asked again. She said she wasn't going to give me the refund and now I owe her $5.00 more because she removed the nails. She began racial profiling and saying things that she should not have said and pretended to be afraid and stood directly in front of the camera. I constantly asked her to speak to me confidentially as the other patrons didn't have to know what was transpiring. She said no and now she is afraid. I never once raised my voice, used profanity or made her feel "afraid" in any way shape or form. I had my child with me and would never behave like an animal. I would give this place -1 if I could. Run away and take your money elsewhere to a place where they appreciate true patrons. They have changed their name several times. Last year they changed to Lotus nails now the exterior still states Lotus; however, their business cards state Apex Nails. read more

I only decided to try this place out because of a friends recommendation. I couldn't have been more disappointed! I needed a pink and white fill with a cut down. I should have walked out when the guy said they didn't need to be cut down and the white didn't need to be done. My left hand has one finger that was left longer than the rest. My right hand all my nails are way too long and my longer than my left hand. Every one of my white lines on both hands are lop sided. I'll NEVER go back to this place. I got my pedicure and when i went to pay and give them the certificate they would not accept it bc i didn't have the receipt that it was purchased with (but it was a gift). They made me pay full price. And then i got ingrown nails on my big toes from how they clipped it. Never going back. read more

There's also practically no foot massage with a pedi. Now under new management it appears to be worse! My recent pedi looks like I painted my toes myself. Not smooth or shiny. Polish also looks like I have purple polish over a pink polish. And NO FOOT MASSAGE. Paid $30 for a gel manicure. It started peeling after just 2 days. Had a pedicure today; French. The pedicure itself was fine-wouldn't call it great. A CHILD could have done a better job with the painting of my toe nails. The white nail polish portion is a straight line; no arch in the polish at ALL. Uneven as well-some lines are thick. And to top it off, the nail polish doesn't even go to the corners of each toenail. I am removing the toe nail polish after I post this & will polish them with a solid color myself. Won't be visiting this nail salon again; at least not for a pedicure. Very dissatisfied. read more

This place was great when Henry and Van were there! But then the "owner" showed up firing them for whatever reason and turned this place into a joke. I like to go and get my nails done and relax. I've been going to lotus since they first opened but management has changed so much and they always have new people. The last couple of times I got my nails done they were not what I wanted and I made it very clear that the color and shape was wrong but they would laugh and brush it off and say "it's better that way" so I won't be going there any more. Just left the nail salon with 2 friends and WILL NEVER GO BACK...terrible service. My friends wanted basic pedicures and was left soaking for over 30min and I wanted a gel nail polish manicure and was left soaking for the same time to where I had to peel the polish off myself. One man wrote on a customer while he was on the phone fixing his bank information while we just sat there. My friends were not talked to or offered anything like water or wine. I had to get them water from the refrigerator. After about 45 min with no help we left...WE WILK NEVER BE BACK and recommend them learning some customer service for their future clients. read more
