We had takeout - I'm sure it's better when you eat there and it's hot/fresh, but it was still pretty good. Best Thai I've had in Memphis, though I wouldn't really call Memphis the best place to find Asian cuisine. We had Pad See Ew, Panang curry, spring rolls and dumplings. The dumplings were fried, so by the time they arrived they were gross and soggy. I prefer my dumplings steamed, and they were mushy so I threw them out. Again, I imagine they were originally crispy so this is due to getting take out, I'm sure they're good fresh. The rest of the meal was solid! read more

Very disappointed in the size and the amount of liquid that makes it resemble a soup of this Chicken Larb. My first time trying out this restaurant I thought it would be in a container like the other two dishes that I got because that is how it usually comes in Thai restaurants. Curry and Pad Thai were delicious. We also had the dumplings and crab rangoon which were fresh and amazing. They gave us complimentary chicken soup that was definitely homemade and so tasty. Our server was managing multiple tables and to-go orders and never missed a beat, she was friendly and engaging. The Edamame and Fried rice was pronounced very good, the Orange Chicken good, but the Larb was disappointing - bland and not spicy. Service was very good and the place 'feels' like a Thai restaurant. I ordered the tom yum soup, and it lacked the authentic flavors I was expecting. It also didn't include the traditional mushrooms typically used in the dish. The shrimp tasted like frozen shrimp and was overcooked, which made the soup even more disappointing. I also tried the papaya salad, but it was overwhelmed by fish sauce, making it difficult to enjoy the other flavors. I have been passing by this place and decided to order on DoorDash. The food arrived hot and all containers were sealed to not have any spills during delivery. I ordered the street noodles with chicken. It does put me in the mind of a pho and Tom yum soup due to all the flavors. The portion was generous, enough for two servings. They brought out some complementary soup that had so much flavor I wasn't expecting it at all. I got the pork skewers and they were so tender and juicy. It was exactly what I was wanting. I used to go to a Thai place with my grandma so I was hoping it would be as good. And it was even better. My server was so sweet and answered any questions I had. Tried out this new Thai place in Bartlett last night. The service was very good. Our server was kind, patient, and attentive. She came to check on us quite a bit. I forgot to get her name. We ordered the appetizer of spring rolls. They were good and fresh with a different type of sauce. One was more sweet and a little spicy and the other one was savory and tasted like it might've had some vinegar, soy sauce with hoisin sauce in it. We were looking for peanut sauce. Decided to share the green curry with chicken. It had crunchy vegetables of bell peppers, onions, and carrots and a serving of rice. It wasn't too hot and tasted delicious. We ordered the Drunken Noodles with beef. We like the presentation with the steak placed on the top. The vegetables and noodles were cooked very well and still had crunch and bite to them. None of the ingredients were over cooked. The food was very good. The restaurant is decorated with Asian flare and wood like floors. It has been remodeled from the previous place. It seems to have a more open and organized feel to it. The parking lot is spacious as the restaurant is located in a strip mall. I will return to try more of the dishes available. read more

Got this Thai food delivered, so I don't know anything about the service or ambiance. However, the food is delicious!!! The papaya salad is a must and so fresh and flavorful. The tom kah soup is PACKED with flavor and I wish we got a large (I wish it was served with rice though). Pad Thai and pad see ew were good and full of chicken which was pleasantly surprising. The only down side was that we ordered a 10/10 spice level and it was more like a 5. I wish they would have really listened to our request. Overall I would definitely order again! read more

The food is always on hit. I don't know what happened today. This was a delivery from DoorDash. My Tom Yum had the spices on a 8. Nooooooo favor too good to be covered by spices. Pad Thai Noodles had no kick. The spices should have been on the Pad Thai Noodles. There should be a new way to pack the Tom Yum so all the broth is not on the bottom of the bag. This is my first time since Thai Basil. The food was good but I wanted my nose to run. I love hot food and Thai food is supposed to be hot. I told the waitress to make it a ten on spicy and then add more heat to it after that. Still came out bland and I was halfway through before I was able to ask her for some hot sauce. Visited this place & it was amazing! My bf LOVED the Tom Kha Soup and the Moo Ping (Thai pork skewers). The soup was creamy & a slight hint of lemon (I think). Very creamy & refreshing. The pork skewers (Moo Ping) came with delicious sticky rice & a vinegar-y sauce. A little goes a long was in my opinion. I got the spring rolls which came with a different kind of vinaigrette-type sauce (light yellow colored) & a thicker dark sauce similar to Hosin but with a twist is the best I can describe it. I also got the Drunken Noodle with Pork & no bell pepper. LOTS of onion, which I love. But if you don't, be sure to say no onion. We had delivery from here and we were pretty happy with how it turned out. Is it the MOST authentic? I dunno - but it's authentically tasty and that counts. The best noodle dish was the pad see ew with beef. A personal favorite of mine, this one was done well (could've used fresher noodles, but maybe that's just our thing). The pad thai with shrimp was also quite good. Probably the best overall dish we had was the pork larb. It was juicy- unusually so. But it worked. It really worked. The taste was pretty amazing. The noodle soup was good, but reminded us of a Vietnamese version (which is OK because we like that version too). Overall, like I said, it was a good delivery night. We love Thai food, and have eaten at every Thai eatery in Memphis. They all fall short, IMO. I was so excited to have a new choice. Sadly, Lotus is also a huge disappointment. Inside, the restaurant has the ambience of an overlit cafeteria. On this Friday night, a lone young woman was handling the entire front end, and quickly got overwhelmed by 3 tables. How I wished the food would make all of this worthwhile. I am here to tell you it does not. The Thai fried chicken was made with chicken that had probably sat in the cooler too long, the fresh rolls were mostly spring mix, and every sauce was runny, including both of our curries. We will continue to pine for good Thai food in Memphis, while we find it elsewhere every single time we travel. read more

I ordered a meal on uber eats, the order was supposed to come with rice based on the description. When I called to let the manager know, he was extremely rude and just kept repeating that the order doesn't come with rice. I let him know the menu on uber eats was incorrect and he just said, "is there anything else?" then hung up. I am shocked how rude he was, and I will definitely not be going back to Thai restaurant after this experience. To be honest the food was mediocre at best. First time visiting this establishment. For those of you that remember the previous Thai estalishment known as Thai Basil and frequented that establishment. you'll feel right at time. Walking in the door, the front desk has recieved a mild facelift - its both the same and slighly updated. As you turn to the left and walk into the dining area, it also will be very familiar. As for the menu, it is scaled down from the previous Thai restaraunt with the essentials which can help the kitchen staff with prep times when the establihment is having a dinner rush. While we are talking about the kitchen staff, the owner showed me the upgrades in the kitchen which includes a new refrigerator and stoves. On my first visit, I tried the satay, a bowl of white rice, amd a small bowl of Tom Yum soup and iced tea also the owners gave me a sample of their Pad Thai noodles. Those of you that visited the previous establihment may remember the satay was almost a meal unti itself, The new versiion is more modest and a good appitizer. As for the Tom Yum soup, I ordered it with chicken. This is a homemade soup and it will taste off as compared some other establishment's house recipes of Tom Yum. Many places may use Maesri Tom Yum paste or equivalent to make their Tom Yum which will give the soup a distinctive taste. As for the Pad Thai, I'm not a fan of that dish, despite being the national dish of Thailand. [ I think it was Pad Thai ! ] The dish was made with smaller noodle than I would use - medium / medium thin. And I was pleantly impressed - the sour component was very subdued and the sweetness was toned down. As for the staff, well done folks. I tried lotus Thai because I saw them on TikTok and I was disappointed. I ordered steamed gyosas and they were over cooked and bland. The edemame was good but you could taste fish which I didn't mind but if you have a fish allergy that would've been really bad. Went three days ago with my visiting sister, chose it because the place I wanted to take her was closed during the hours we could eat. I'm so glad we found this place. It's my new go to restaurant. The red curry was amazing, the tom kha soup was so rich and flavorful, and the tofu with, I think, drunken noodles, was so good. Liked it so much I went back the NEXT day. The food that we ordered was not hot just lukewarm. We had the Pad Thai , the fried spring rolls , Thai tea and the pad kapow. The fried spring rolls were almost cold and stale the Thai tea was mid at best the pad Thai was mid also. The service is pretty good they do come to your table a lot while you are eating. The ambiance is quiet there weren't many people there at 5 to 530 pm. The food does come out very quickly sometimes that's good and sometimes that's bad. Unfortunately would not eat here again.
