I just have a couple of suggestions to help improve my next experience. We have eaten at McAlisters for many years and today was a big let down. They have changed the bread on the McAlisters club sandwich to a very thin style and are using less meat and other fillings. The sandwich is nothing like it used to be at all. Go back to using a decent bread to improve what used to be a great sandwich. Also, we used to brag about how great the sweet tea was, but recently it's been the worst part of our meal. It's very weak, almost water and it's hardly sweet at all. You need to go back to making the tea like you used to. Actually, install a drink station like the one in Wolfchase, it's always perfect. Overall, they make this location look bad on all accounts, we've never had a bad experience at Wolfchase. Please make improvements so we can enjoy the Bartlett location again. read more

Edited to say the manager has reached out to me several times through email, which is much appreciated. Everyone has an off day. Should have paid attention to the 2 star review before I ordered. Got the Honey BBQ Nachos because they looked so good online! I get putting stuff on the side for to go orders, but when they aren't included, it's a problem. Here are pics of what I ordered and what I got. No rotel, no onions, no barbecue sauce...for barbecue nachos! And grayish chunks of pork, not pulled pork which works best for nachos! Complained online and someone replied with "I do apologize for any misunderstandings. When the nachos are ordered to go the sauces that would make the chips soggy are on the side for you to add when you are ready to indulge. I did check with the manager on duty this evening and he confirmed the sauce and dips are on the side. Maybe come try them eat in style and you will then see them as the picture looks." So apparently it was my fault for not dining in or not knowing how to put together nachos with missing ingredients, not the managers fault because he confirmed they were there. Right. read more

I come to this McAlister's often because it's by my job. Today will be my last day. So, I'm standing in line after 1:00PM, no greeting, nothing. Everyone just kept working like they didn't see me. So, the manager came from the back and told this young lady to help me. She didn't open her mouth, so I just started ordering. Her attitude was horrible and she just stood there and looked at me. We had a great experience. We are visiting family in Bartlett and needed to feed a small crowd. We ordered catering for pick-up. I have not have McAlister's Deli in a while especially at this location. So, I decided to door dash from this location on August 4th, 2024. I ordered the Sweet and Smoky Chicken Sandwich and also macaroni and cheese. The macaroni and cheese was just ok it really wasn't too special. I had to add some pepper to get some more flavor out. The Sweet and Smoky Chicken Sandwich was really good. There was a unique balance of the sweet and smoky sides to the sandwich. read more

The service was unbelievably slow and uneven. My co-worker and I ordered at the same time and her order came out before we sat down. My order took more than 15 minutes. I had to ask about the status and once I got it, the soup was lukewarm. read more

Got food poisoning, the jalapeños turkey crunch gave me stomach problems for 3 days. I don't know if they just left the meat out, my sandwich was cold in the middle. How is it this hard to clean tea urns? Today I went to McCallisters on Poplar, on trinity and highway 64 in Cordova and all three the tea although costing $3.50 is not drinkable anymore. The absolute ONLY thing i like there and tastes good to me is the mashed potatoes with layered roast and butter, salt, and pepper on top in the cup it's served in. This being the case, im just now seeing some of the newer desserts they have now they weren't available the few times I actually went, and they look pretty scrumptious if i do say so myself. Im the kind of person who was skipping school at the age of 15, driving 2 hours away just to eat Sbarro- later, Villa Pizza- at the mall! So depending on how much this cost of these new(chocolate especially desserts) cost, i might be back and if i thoroughly enjoy it, it just may end up being my new hang out spot! read more

This location is the worst. Today was the final straw. I ordered online and went inside for pick up. Thank goodness I checked my order. The kids Mac and cheese looked like someone's vomit (check the picture). There was no way my kid was going to eat that so changed it to a turkey sandwich. my wife ordered the Just a Spud - which is ENORMOUS. I ordered a Horseradish Beef and Cheddar. My wife loved the potato (it provided 2 meals). I liked the sandwich - not as good as Arby's perhaps, but pretty good nonetheless. The cashier was very good - I couldn't get their app to accept greater than 1 form of payment and she got it done. I have been a Mcallister's fan for years bur this location has really changed and not for the better. I usually get take-out these days so I do not see the food til I get home. They never fill the soup bowls to the top anymore and the sandwiches are not as good. I always loved the King Club but I do not think I will order it again as it was significantly less meat. McAlister's is one of my go to spots when I want a salad and some reallly good sweet tea. This particular day I ordered the Savannah chopped salad along with the spicy Turkey melt. This sandwich comes with avocado and this is the second McAlister's I've been to and didn't get my avocado on my sandwich or my pickle (I like my avocado and my pickles)! I specifically asked for those two items since I didn't get them the first time at a different location and I was let down again. BUT!! Y'all I forgot all about the avocado and pickle after I tasted the carrot cake!!! It is amazing and well if they ship them to stores, this was the best not baked in house cake I've had in a while. Ive always loved McCalisters tea. I have visited the location in cordova on trinity rd 4 times in two weeks and ill say this... the staff are very nice but please clean those tea urns!! Ordered curbside pickup and arrived to pick it up ten minutes before the time the app said it would be ready. Called, was told it was three orders away. Okay, fine. Sat in the car, fed the baby, twenty-five minutes passed. Called again. Am told that my order is ready and will be right out! Yay! ...Wait fifteen more minutes. Go inside. Wait ten more minutes for someone to acknowledge my being there, even though there was a man standing at a cash register doing literally nothing. Woman who acknowledged me rolls her eyes when I tell her that I was the person who called twice about the curbside order. Finally get my food (my drink hadn't even been poured yet), take it out to the car. Drive the five minutes home to eat my room-temperature roast beef and horseradish and macaroni and cheese. Total time predicted: sixteen minutes. Total time elapsed: 55 minutes. Y'all can do better. read more

I enjoy this place when I'm actually craving it. It's about 50/50. Staff seems alright don't think I've had a "bad" customer service experience here. Now for the food it could definitely be better. Past times I've went here and not just this location, but the food just seems cold. I always order the four cheese melt with a side of macaroni. Sandwich is always again 50/50 and the macaroni is just really not worth it. Cold, very cold. Now with the restrooms I was very uncomfortable and disgusted. There was human feces along the wall behind the toilet, I mean this was truly uncomfortable and so poorly cleaned (if it was even cleaned) just not good. So do what you will with that! read more

Went there yesterday with my daughter, she took the 1st bite to her sandwich and a sliver of wood pierced the back of her throat when she swallow, we ended up at the doctor and a piece of what it looks like a wooden toothpick was enbeded on her tissue... today I met another person by a rare coincidence we had a conversation and the same thing happened to him last Friday.. if we don't hear from Mcalister's to at least pay for the medical visit we both will be seeking legal help .... read more

I provided documentation from my bank and admission by their own personnel of an double-charge on my ATM card by their employee in excess of $416.00 for a large delivery order. They let my fiancé order a Spud and they came back and said they were out. When I asked for a refund she said her manager put the refund in. When I told her I did not see it reflected on my card, she asked if I'd like to speak with her manager, to which I agreed. He did not come from the back, he only sent her back saying that it would take more than a day to come back to my card. I just want him to know that the point of a manager is to bring their face to the front of the restaurant when there is a problem instead of sending out your employees like a child. read more

McAlister's is great -- at least at times. It is just inconsistent. So, you probably won't be finding much better deli food in Bartlett other than McAlister's, however, I'm sure there is much better to be found in the Memphis area. The meat is of good quality. I have never had a complaint in that area. Same with the bread, though, it can be a little soggy sometimes. Overall, it's a great place. Their sweet tea is some of the best, even better than McDonald's in my opinion. My only gripe with this establishment is the lack of consistency. It is just better some days than others. Sometimes the mac and cheese is perfect, sometimes it is bland. Sometimes they get your order correct, sometimes they don't. With that said, I've been coming here since I first moved to Bartlett around 2013 and I don't plan to stop any time soon. Got there at 7:30 ten minutes later they where locking the door even though it says 8pm close on the door. Ordered a corn beef sandwich got home and it was a club with bacon with what looked like old cheese and old bread, on top of that I don't eat pork, but even if I did I still wouldn't have eaten this less than appealing looking sandwich. If I could give this restaurant ZERO stars, I would. I placed an order online and paid for it. When I got to the restaurant 15 minutes later (6:05 PM), the doors were locked and lights and tv's were on. Diners outside said the manager quit so everyone left. Really professional! I want my money back. Other diners and the Door Dash delivery man were left to fend for ourselves. There was no one available at restaurant or corporate office. Update: Several months after posting a dissatisfied 2-star review of this McAlister's, I was contacted by a manager apologizing for the experience and sent a gift certificate. So, I decided to try again. The restaurant was clean, service was fast, the employees were courteous, my order was correct, AND the food was great! They obviously made noticeable changes. Horrible experience. It was my family's first time eating here, and the cashier set the tone of our visit. She was a young girl who seemed very annoyed that she had to come to take our order. Cost my family of 4 $50 .. yikes better be good, right? The place wasn't that busy but it took 30-35 mins to get our food. I used to love their bug spud potatoes and have fond college memories here. However, as a working adult, I am not as in love with McAllister's as before. I ordered lunch online for myself and a couple co-workers. We ordered a half salad and half French dip sandwich, half spud and cup of roasted vegetable soup, as well as the ultimate nachos. As I had not been in years nor ordered online there before, I didn't realize the online orders were on the side so I stood in line for a while before my co-worker saw the order pick up station. I wasn't sure what to do as there was no one over there. I didn't know if I was to just pick up the order with my name on it and leave or not. I proceeded to check out the order. The ticket had the order correct but there were missing items: no soup, no sandwich jous, no salad dressing and not enough toppings for the ultimate nachos. There was a long container for the chips and a small container of jalepenos and whatnot. A manager came over and said she would get the whole order re-done. Then about 2 minutes a lady comes with our bag and my co-worker and I thought that was rather quick. The manager apologized and offered us sweet tea and cookies. I give kudos to the manager for her kindness. When we got back to work to eat with another co worker, she asked where her veggie chili for the nachos were. I realized that they didn't finish her nacho order and that veggie chili was actually an upcharge from the regular ultimate nacho price. Then as we were eating we both realized that neither of us got a container of sour cream either for the nachos or the spud. The food was fine but missing items makes the meal disappointing because you know how the food is supposed to be. I used to take and fulfill to go orders and I would just follow the order ticket from top to bottom. I'm not really sure why our order of 3 meals was confusing as the ticket stapled to the bag was correct and there were cross off marks.
