I've had a lot of Chinese food and I have no problem saying this is the best. I really don't like most restaurants in Danville but this one I crave all the time! The flavors are bold and loud. The food is not heavy, greasy, it taste light and flavorful and healthy. My stomach doesn't hurt after. I always get the chicken chowmein and crab meat puffs. First time trying and it was through a bulk, to go lunch order with the office. The food arrived quickly and stayed warm and fresh! The flavors were delicious. I've been coming here for 4 years and I usually order one of the lunch specials which for the most part are pretty good but lately this restaurant has been falling off. I don't know if they have new owners/ management but I ordered 1 combination fried, 1 combination chow mein and sweet and sour chicken and it's extremely disappointing to see how bad they have gotten. I don't know if this restaurant is on it's last leg but the combination chow mein only had 3 shrimp, 3 pieces of chicken and maybe 5 pieces of beef and the rest is all noodles no flavor no taste, the combination fried rice was the same no flavor. The sweet and sour chicken was dry some pieces were cold like it came out the refrigerator and had 1 piece of pineapple. I paid $55 for these 3 dishes money down the toilet. I will never go back to this restaurant it's sad what they've become. read more

This must be the best tasting Chinese food in this area! We are very picky and generally drive as far as South Bay to eat authentic Chinese food but this local gem serves up some super tasty popular American- Chinese dishes. We ordered some "can't go wrong" kinda dishes being the first time and were not disappointed. The Singapore noodle is really delicious. So were Salt & Pepper Prawns, Lemon Chicken and Green Beans. Craved beef chow fun. My son doordashed from Leo's based on the doordash reviews. Oh boy. Wish we didn't. Should have gone with my gut in ordering Chinese food from a place called "Leo's"... against my better judgement, we gave it a try. Delivery was pretty quick. Food was lukewarm. But the food was not only tasteless but the quantity was shameful for the price. 1. The pork chops were over cooked as the meat was all leathery. One other piece I ate was pure fried fat. Oil popped into my mouth when I bit into it. 2. There was literally 6 pieces of tofu in the dish. For the price... seriously? All cabbage/filler veggies. 3. Honey walnut shrimp. Not much taste to it... and skimpy as well. 4. Beef chow fun... no taste and also portion was so skimpy. It's noodles! That cost like $2. Common. I really wanted a good meal and was dealt with food that I wouldn't even feed my dogs. Oh wait, there's not even enough to go around. Obviously I am very disappointed. As a Doordasher, I have been here several times, but on a Friday night, it was quite an experience. There were also other Doordashers already waiting for their orders. I saw one of them leave without picking up their order. Then another one comes in to pick up an order. I realize the lady at the front register is the "gatekeeper" so-to-speak. The waitress comes into the kitchen and goes out to the tables and takes boxes and plastic containers of soup and puts them on a table off to the side. The cashier lady does packing of the many call-in, walk-in and delivery orders. While also ringing up the walk-in orders. My customer texts me through the DoorDash app asking about her order. I texted her back saying the restaurant is very disorganized. I mean, like I said, there are boxes and containers still on the table, but not assembled into bags and given to the customers. Several times, she yells into the kitchen for whatever items in Chinese. This is the typical routine, it seems. Anyway, with the lobby full of people standing around waiting, my customer calls the restaurant. When I heard her name, I said, "That's my customer!" Long story short (ha), it took about a half hour waiting to get my customer's order assembled in the bag, while it sat on the table for about 15 minutes. Very poor service. read more

The food was very good, the service was fast and the servers were very nice and checked in on us regularly. I highly recommend if you are gluten free or celiac. They have a whole gluten free menu and were knowledgeable about cross contamination. We really enjoyed the Gluten free Kung Pao chicken, Szechwan beef, and chow fun. I would say the food was tasty with good service. Fresh and not greasy, nor overly salty or sweet like some restaurants are.

The restaurant site is pleasant and clean. The decoration is nice. There is ample parking. The food was fine. Not markedly different from the typical local Chinese restaurant. Except -- they do have a gluten free menu, which our gluten free daughter would appreciate. The service was adequate. The staff could not tell me the ingredients in the various items. The waitress claimed the spring roll dipping sauce was house made, but couldn't tell me the ingredients. She embarked on a history about how different restaurants use different recipes -- obviously a rapid patter speech to conceal that she didn't know anything. The food was not particularly interesting or flavorful. Only the kung pao prawns had any zip. Net, if you are craving Chinese this spot is not terrible. But it's not a treat by any means. It's hard to rate Chinese restaurants in the Bay Area after eating in SF and the Peninsula--it actually feels unfair sometimes. Also it may be that there are no good Chinese restaurants along the 680 corridor. Anyway, Leo's is okay and the portions are adequate. Seems a bit pricey for the quality/quantity we get but then again, there really aren't a lot of alternatives and it has to be hard to stay in business in the area. One of my favorite SoCal Chinese restaurants advertises "Open 7 days a week", but they are closed Tuesday's. Well, here at Leo's, they don't take any days off. So, you can count on them to be open! What you can't count on is the exact time of delivery. At about 630pm, I used Grubhub and specified 8pm. It was confirmed in the email. Well, it arrived about 715pm. Better early than never at all, I suppose. But, it's not what I said to do...I wasn't hungry...yet! Ugh. Well, when it arrived, I tried a little bit of each because I knew it just wouldn't be the same when I microwave my plate. Let it be noted, it didn't come with rice! Instead, and thankfully, I had some of that frozen Trader Joe's rice I could do quickly. Anyway, I rate the following: * Tangerine Beef [$14.95, 3.5 stars] -- nice flavor, but not a bit of crunch to it. The sauce could be better, too, as compared to many other places that serve this. Still, I liked. * Eggplant Chicken [$12.95, 3.0 stars] -- really large portion, the container was fully packed. While individually the eggplant and chicken were good, the sauce that brings it all together was flavorless. It's closer to a 3.0 star experience. read more
