This specific Lou Malnati's in Aurora has become my favourite deep dish pizza shop recently. I have tried other Lou Malnatis but nothing comes close to this place. I really appreciate the staff for understanding my customisations and making it perfect. When I got to know that they have introduced pesto marghareta on their new summer menu I had to try it out. I ordered 2 pizzas for the bears /packers playoff game the restaurant was busy but I will say the staff were on their toes getting the pizzas out in a timely fashion but the pizza was terrible I always throw my pizza boxes in the recycle bin with whatever pizza is left over and the raccoons always dig it out well I threw the pizzas away last night and even the raccoons didn't want to touch it ...terrible pizza but great staff read more

One of the best run Lou Malnati's Pizza carry out places around we normally pick-up from the Geneva location which is also very good. We were coming back from Chicago and my wife said I don't want to cook when we get home I'm exhausted how about we order a pizza? I said hey I think there is one right off of I-88. Not crazy about Lou's but family likes it. Just learned that if you want a half/half pizza you pay by the ingredient. Ordered a small deep dish 1/2 The Lou and 1/2 Chicago Classic. Cost me $32 when either pie on its own is approximately $20. They are charging an extra $12 for no extra effort! I've ordered in the past and was never charged like this. Added a salad and paid $48 out the door for two people. Definitely not worth the price for glorified fast food. Will not be back. Lou's getting even more greedy than before. Can go to a local mom and pop and get a better pie anyway for half the price. read more

Received a coupon in the mail the other day so we decided to try this location out. My parents have been eating here since they opened and said it is a MUST TRY. We got a large pie with butter crust and it was amazing! Typically I am a fan of tavern style but the deep dish was great. I usually only eat 1 piece but on this occasion I ate 3!! The large deep-dish Lou (spinach, mushroom, and mozzarella on the inside; sliced tomato, cheddar, and sauce on top) with buttercrust was excellent. I generally don't go for sauce-on-top pizzas but it worked well here. The spinach lasagna with marinara sauce was mediocre. There was too much pasta sheet and sauce and too little cheese and spinach. The tiramisu was poor. It did not have much of a mascarpone flavor, the ingredient list stated egg beaters instead of eggs, and there was little cocoa powder but lots of chocolate syrup (which should not be present at all). read more

I used to live in Oswego to where I would go to the Lou Malnati's's in Oswego. No, I did have one issues with them and they didn't put my extra sauce as I requested so I called an emergency resolve the situation, and never had another issue cents so now I live in Macgomery and this is the second time I've ordered from this one on orchard, and I always request that my pizza is well done regardless, if it's thin or deep, so today I get there it's slightly crowded and he told me it would be ready in 35 minutes so it wasn't ready till like 15 minutes which was fine because I requested it to be well done. And while I was waiting, another lady came in and brought a piece of back and said that it was kind of too well done for her kids and they wouldn't eat it and so they gave her another one. which I thought was really nice and commending of them. So I thought about checking my pizza before I left and I did so I drove all the way home and my pizza is not well done and this is the second time that I requested for it to be well done and it was not so I was thinking because I stayed an extra 15 minutes that it would've been well done and it was it so I won't be going back to that one on Orchard I'll just continue to go to the one in Oswego because who feels like after they get off work to drive all way back to somewhere to get something else when you've gotten home and relaxed and ready to enjoy the pizza and then I get to put the clothes back on and go back out to drive in traffic and then wait and then drive back home to eat it that's not what you want to do. Do you want it right when you get it? UPDATE, the manager Nancy reached out to me and we spoke for a moment and I completely understand with everything is going on now , new employeesemployees and training them to learn how things are supposed to go and I know it's a hiring shortage everywhere, so she was very apologetic and I greatly appreciate it that and she wanted to make a right , which she did and it was fabulous. Well this is the first time I have ordered a Gluten-free crust pizza "didn't like it very bland " but the rest of the pizza was great please have a option for us gluten lovers 4 stars because this was the only time I've ordered one didn't know what to expect but for myself didn't like the crust will order something different next time but the rest of the pizza was great service was a bit slow waited 2 hrs but I ordered it during a busy time my bad,could not figure out the grub hub thing. read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. We ordered 2 pizzas and a salad online at 5:20 and were told it would be ready at 5:50. We got there around 5:55, went in and gave our name for the order. First off, they had 2 orders under the same name. Neither of them were ours. After arguing with the incompetent counter girl, I had to tell her my order item by item and they still could not find it. Finally, she goes "oh, what is the phone number it's under?" I told her and she finally finds it. Low and behold, our order wasn't even ready and we sat there waiting until 6:15 while everyone else got their orders. NEVER ordering from this location again. Every time we go in, the idiot counter staff either can't find our order or don't have it ready. It's a shame too, because the pizza is amazing. read more

This is very excellent ! It's still the best ! I have lived in the suburbs for Over 3+ decades, and this particular pizza was one of the first deep dish pizza's I was introduced to. From that day on, it was also one my favorite places for pizza and other Italian great foods. It has since made its way into my now grown kids favorite list. I tried the wings for my first experience. Not good! Chain-restaurant-style wings were very fatty. More like dominoes than a real pizzeria. Customer service was friendly, but the staff needs to be better trained and informed (also, paid $15/hr minimum). Took several minutes and a manager to answer my question of whether the wings were breaded. Garlic bread is delivered in plastic and very soggy. There dipping sauce is barely ok. I don't think I would ever try the Illuminati wings again. I'm moving back to Chicago and won't have a chance to try the pizza, so this review is permanent.... read more

It's worth the extra drive to Naperville if you want a real Lou Malnati's delicious pizza. Despite the extra and unexpected waiting time, this pizza was a minus star rating on it's own. Shame on them for tarnishing the brand of the best pizza in the world! read more

If you're thinking about splitting your toppings on your deep dish, don't. I've given them several chances and each time they put the toppings all over the pizza. They either aren't listening to instructions or they just don't even try to split them. read more

I was craving Pizza from here one evening but I remembered that the closet location was either Batavia or Naperville. I got on the Yelp app and saw a new location on Orchard Rd ! Oh Happy Day! I didn't waste no time and ordered a medium deep dish pizza with pepperoni. For a weekday it was not busy so that was cool no crazy waiting but I also did order online. However the only thing about this location is that I found it hard to find. I was driving up and down Orchard Rd like a crazy woman. The location is a little hidden, next to a Potbelly, and right before I 88 (So don't cross the bridge). The customer service is good too! This one time I ordered they accidentally broke the pizza in the oven apparently as the pizza was being pulled out it got stuck to the oven causing the cheese to stick and ruining the pizza. However, I received a complimentary medium pizza for free the next time I order. So this was very cool. Ever since I discovered this location this is my go to spot for pizza. read more

Before this location opened, we would make the drive to Geneva just because we loved the pizza so much. Obviously we were excited for this one to open but that excitement has crumbled. My husband has a belief that restaurants that open around north aurora are all worse than those chains' other locations. It's frighteningly accurate. This is no exception. We are getting to the point where we will have to start making the drive to Geneva again. We have this certain pizza combo that we like and we like it well done. We have yet to experience a well done pie, or even any pie that wasn't floppy yet from the new store. They overdo the cheese so that it's a sloppy mess, and there's no crisp bottom- ever. We've ordered pasta that was utterly flavorless - so much so a 6 year old refused to eat it. We've order cheesy bread so soggy no one would eat it. We have ordered delivery that was 20 minutes after the specified time, in which the delivery guy asked if the store had called me to let me know he was running behind to which I said no, I just called them wondering where it was. We've ordered pick up where I waited for 15 minutes even tho I arrived at the correct time, because my order wasn't ready. Overall, the quality of the pies and so far, the service, aren't impressive. I hope it changes, and fear that we may have to start driving farther to get to our old wonderful Lou Malnati's pizza. read more

I have enjoyed Malnati's pizza from many different locations and have always been happy with it. Not this time, not this location. Showed up on time to pick up the pizza, but was forced to wait 10 minutes for them to bring it out. It was soggy and definitely not fresh from the oven. My wait had to be because they didn't have their stuff together. In addition, rather than having sausage all across the pizza, it was spotty. Maybe they just had a bad day. I will give them one more try, but if it is not up to typical Malnati standards, I will be done with this location. read more
