Headline: Unprofessional, unaccountable, & disorganized…read more It's incredibly unfortunate that in honoring my sister's life, there were a number of issues that the Rollins team created, which I have noted below. I tried to not make this review too long; but the back-and-forth I've had with these people, who refuse to take accountability for poor service, left me and my family with insult on top of injury as we grieved my sister. No family should have to experience this. During the service, the Rollins team was nowhere to be found when it was time to close the casket. This created an awkward moment of moving on with the program, while also asking another guest in attendance to search for their staff. I would have expected a team member to remain in the back of the room to ensure the program flowed seamlessly. We experienced A/V glitches throughout the program, where guests sitting in the back and listening over live-stream could not hear portions of the program. Prayer cards were NOT delivered on the day of service; and when they were delivered post-service, the incorrect photo was used and the sizing much larger than what was shown to us in our planning meeting at the Rollins Center. They finally re-printed the cards with the correct photo - the cards were flimsy paper that I had to laminate myself at my own expense. I also had to send the cards to loved ones at my own expense, as they were neither ordered nor delivered as promised for the service. The Rollins team refused to offer a refund for not delivering the cards on the day of service, as agreed-upon verbally and in writing. Their lack of empathy and poor business acumen was clear as they asserted that my family should assume financial responsibility for their mistake, and their refusal to take responsibility for that. At one point, Shirlene (Rollins staff) told me that I should just go print prayer cards on my own; the idea of my doing this a month after my sister passed away was an incredible emotional burden, and an insensitive solution that was given in lieu of her wanting to take responsibility for making this right and correcting her mistake. My parents were called by the Rollins office to pick up cremains, and they did. However the cremains were not deposited in the urns that we ordered. I had to email to point out the fact that they were not deposited in the urns we ordered, so we had to return twice to bring back the cremains and then to pick them up once deposited in the urns. As a Black family who believes strongly in supporting Black-owned businesses, it's even more disheartening when our patronage is taken for granted with sub-par service. We all deserve so much better, as do our dear loved ones.

From the moment we connected with them,…read moreit was clear that we were in the hands of people who genuinely care, not just about the logistics, but about the people they serve and the emotions involved. Their compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail were evident in every single interaction. Everything was flawlessly organized from beginning to end. They took the time to listen, understand our wishes, and personalize every aspect of the service to reflect exactly what we wanted. Their communication was consistent and reassuring, which brought us so much peace during a very difficult time. Victoria, in particular, was truly exceptional. She treated our loved one with the utmost dignity and respect, and her calm, caring presence made all the difference. On the day of the service, every detail was beautifully executed. We didn't have to worry about a thing, they took care of it all, allowing us to focus on honoring and remembering our loved one. We are forever grateful for the incredible care and support we received. Rest Haven made an incredibly hard moment feel manageable--and even beautiful.

I live out of state and he helped me every step of the way until I was able to finally meet with him right before the funeral. My biggest wish was for her to be buried next to a tree. Gabriel took us to see the lot, and she was to be buried next to a willow tree which happens to be my mom's favorite. It was just perfect. Thank you to Resthaven for making this process easier for us.

Of course the prices are a bit of a shock, but you probably won't have the time or desire to search for bargains, most places have similar fees. The advantage to this location, is that they have a crematorium on site.. This is ideal if you want to 'witness' this procedure. Other places contract to use the cremation services here. The staff was polite and respectful. I'm guessing they are trained to show zero emotion or personality, which is just fine in this situation. The facilities are pleasant, and the staff does their best to make things flow well during difficult times

She told me it would be the following day, but when I asked for the time, she said she did not know. Her voice sounded very dark and heavy. I visited the funeral home shortly after 12:00 PM on Friday, but she was absent. When I confirmed the cremation date with the manager, I discovered that my husband had already been cremated on Thursday. No one had contacted me; my husband had already been cremated and reduced to ashes. Learning this truth left me in deep shock and tears of sorrow. I could not be there to see him off for his final farewell, and my heart breaks thinking about how sad and lonely he must have been. I demand an explanation for why the cremation date was hidden from me, and I expect a sincere apology.

However, I don't want this issue happening to another family. Unfortunately a close family member of mine passed away recently and their funeral services were held by Resthaven. Upon arrival, my husband overheard the staff members (Jessica) saying they were "scrambling" to get things ready. Not something anyone wants to hear about their loved ones funeral. Next, my husband, brother and I went out to get some air and talk. Standing in a triangle in front of my vehicle and near the vehicle parked next to mine, the same staff member (Jessica) that made the "scrambling" comment, proceeded to walk out of the chapel, up to us, and ask us to "stand somewhere else because the Jeep was an employees vehicle and they were worried about it". I was quite sure how to take that. Are they calling us delinquents (my tattoos were visible)? That's why they were "worried". We all wore dress clothes, no one was leaning on their vehicle or standing too close. Mind you, my vehicle was parked next to theirs. Guess we can't stand near our own vehicles. That employee was also parked in the very front row. We're at a funeral, what could we possibly do to the vehicle? So not only were we publicly embarrassed, but we were there to grieve the loss of an immediate family member, not be humiliated and profiled. It was completely unprofessional and ridiculous to say that to a grieving family. There is a time and a place, and that's not it! I could understand if we did something wrong, but we're adults and we know better. The other problem that was embarrassing on Resthavens part, was the Funeral Memorial/Prayer cards. It wasn't until about an hour in that I noticed they were wrong. They did not put some of the requested pictures/information on them, and the "Footprints in the Sand" poem was incorrect. I brought it up to a gentleman at the "grief session" and he told me that the poem must have been a "different variation". They also got his death date wrong. I am so sad and unhappy with how everything unraveled. That is a day you can't get back or redo! The positive for the day was how absolutely WONDERFUL Mickey was! He was the only saving grace to bring the day back. He even apologized on behalf of Jessica. He truly did a great job.
