I quite enjoyed this mall! It seemed to have a great selection of clothing and specialty stores. The food court was smaller than I expected, but it did have a good variety of food. My friend tried the chinese restaurant, and for what she paid, the helping was generous! I highly recommend you look up the store directory in advance and try to park close to the ones you want to visit the most. Checked out this big yet empty older mall in Joliet. It has a pretty good location close to the interstate and still gets quite a bit of business but not as much as in the past. Louis Joliet Mall is the biggest place to shop in this big suburb. Has a lot of places to go inside even with many being closed. The quality of the stuff isn't is good as it once was and there's not much good other than seeing a movie. Better malls are certainly around but this one has a lot of interesting history about it. It's been around here since 1978 with it being one of two malls that had opened recently. The other was Jefferson Square Mall, which opened a few years earlier and closed in 2002 and was demolished pretty soon after that. Has gone through a few anchors. There's a Cinemark movie theater, JCPenney's, and Macy's. Basically the theater opened in 2009, and has since brought in the most business. There also used to be a Bergner's and Sears. A Sears subsidiary actually financed the mall's construction. There's been many instances of vacancies. The Carson's closed in 2018, but reopened later. Panera Bread, T.G.I. Friday's, and Tilted Kilt have closed. The Sears closed in 2019 and has not been replaced. Got to say it's been around for awhiles. It's not like it once was but it's still hanging on. There's not much to say about this mall. It's one floor and doesn't have too many of the major stores you see elsewhere. They have a decent food court and a movie theater. It was mostly like a ghost town on a Saturday night. If you want to go to someplace better, the Bolingbrook Promenade or the Oakbrook mall is not too far of a drive. read more

I have been going to this mall for years. My mom and I decided to go here since it has been a while and we were pleasantly surprised. The mall is updated, well kept and there are a decent amount of stores here. Most malls are losing stores but that is not the case with this mall. This mall is one level and clean. There is a nice variety of stores from clothing, shoe, jewelry, games, etc. They also have a food court as well that offers a decent variety of options. The movie theatre here has cozy seating and delicious snacks. I would recommend this mall. read more

It's sad what's happened to our shopping centers and Louis Joliet mall is no exception. Here it is mid-October and this mall is nearly empty of shoppers. Fall and the Christmas season were traditionally a time when shopping centers attracted the largest crowds. Today, shoppers prefer big box store and throwing items into a generic shopping cart or being so removed and withdrawn from the brick and mortar shopping scene, online purchases have grown to record proportions. The hassle of ordering something and then waiting for the item to turn up at your door, then repackaging the box when it's not what you expected. Who needs all that dragged out drama? Not I! Who knows what retailing will be in the future but until the dust settles, it's anyone's guess where this is all going. Let's hope Amazon isn't going to be our one and only place to shop! God help us if we surrender our buying freedom to the heavy hands of one big store fits all. Let's remember the great contribution and the fun experience shopping centers and malls once had on consumers across the country. read more

Finally came back to this mall for the first time in about 4 or 5 years! So much has changed around here for the better. My first visit here was completely boring but now everything has been remodeled. More businesses are here, people are shopping. Great variety of stores to shop in. Now, I shop at malls all around the world. This isn't no high class, fancy million Square foot mall. It's a small / medium one level mall. It's currently 92 % occupied (if I had to guess ). It caters to the lower, middle class area. Quiet mall, not many characters and this is on a Saturday. Definitely love the strides this mall has made and everything that's been going on here. great mall to walk around! ive been coming here since i moved to the area when i was super young. they were originally a westfield mall and had stores like the disney store and a build a bear! its sad to see that this mall has lots of vacant stores as well as two vacant anchor stores; carsons (formally bergner weise) and sears. however, half of carsons is open seasonally in the fall as a spirit halloween. the mall has a good food court selection, panda express, sbaro, some other chinese food places, a Mexican food place, and even boba! they used to have mcdonalds but they left. the mall has a lot of small owned businesses, for example for some reason they closed up the victoria secret and made it into like a mens sportswear place. still has classic mall stores like macys, jcpenny, lids, hot topic, spencers, bath and body works, auntie annes, pink, claires, aeropostale... etc. the mall has a very late 2000s feel to it, but it's a pretty cute mall. there's also a cinemark in the mall and a target across the street. i definitely feel like they can add some stores such as fye, sephora, a VS comeback, maybe even a lush! just as any other mall there is a ton of jewlery places. there's even a photobooth where you can get your video from. pretty fun mall though, fox valley is definitely better but this one is nice for the memories read more

I'd never heard of this mall. Although this is a long way away from my "hood", I'm all over the place eating or shopping so I'm surprised I'd never heard of it before. My friend came out here to pick up a necklace from Zales, so I rode w/her. I wanted to see what the place was about. 2 days before Xmas and it wasn't packed I was shocked! The stores were cleaned and neat. The sales were jumping in all the stores. They even had items I hadn't seen at other malls. (Different shoes/clothes) So I got alot of my shopping done here. Another place i ended up in by chance but I picked up some Gloria Jeans Butter Toffee which is one of the few flavored coffee beans I like. It has many common stores that are nice to shop at but lately they've had many stores closed and I know the mall closes early with all this of covid-19 but stores still decide to not even open. The curfew for this mall doesn't even let me be in there late with friends or anyone under 18 which sucks when I'm not with my parents and need to go to the mall. I mean it's a regular mall. It has a nice food court with bubble tea and treats like rolled ice cream. Also has the regular fast food inside. Has some fun stores like hot topic, Zumiez, GameStop. Also has Pandora, Zales etc. It has a kids play area and it is easy to navigate because of the maps everywhere. It has a Cinemark right inside the front of the store directly across from the food court. There are some creepy people here and there but security is strict with everyone. They have coffee places and smoothie places scattered around. They have pop up stores sometimes and it's a good mall. Not to huge or small. It has a lot of parking. Even when it looks packed from the outside, it's never cramped in there. I go there probably 3 times a month and it is always fun. read more

Since this is the closest mall to me, I have just recently become reacquainted with Louis-Joliet Mall. I visited a few times growing up, but did not recall it being extremely memorable. Really, it still isn't, but it's a solid shopping mall, with everything I would need in a retail pinch. It has the basic anchors of JC Penny's, Macy's, Sears and Carson's. The Penny's has a Sephora shop inside, but the Sears is very dated in both architecture and merchandise (hello dresses that looked like they belonged in a C&C Music Factory video.) Most of the mid-market players can also be found here. Claire's, Lane Bryant, three different uniform stores, Foot Locker, Radio Shack, Earthbound Trading Company, are a few that I frequent, as well as a MasterCuts, where I usually run in to get my hair trimmed. Unlike a majority of its suburban counterparts, this is a one-level, no frills, well laid out mall. The food court is centrally located and includes two Chinese places, a Sbarro, McDonald's, Taco Bell/KFC, and few other choices. There is also a Tilted Kilt attached, and Hooters in an outlot. Also, a movie theater with a mall-only entrance. It is a great place to walk around and kill and hour or two during the week. On the weekends, this place is packed with everyone taking their extended families out for the day. read more

I thought that our town has the worst mall ever, but this mall is pretty meh too. Joliet actually has a lot of amazing shopping, but none of these stores were present in the mall. This got me wondering, are malls going away? It seems like a lot of areas have great shopping centers but pathetic malls. There aren't a lot of stores that I enjoy other than Charming Charlie, Victoria's Secret/VS Pink, Macys, and Carsons. I got a smoothie at Jamba Juice and looked around the food court. The food court is about what you would expect anywhere else. In fact, I think it was mostly the same restaurants that we have at ours. If you're going to be in the area, I'd recommend checking it out if there's a store that interests you but chances are you might get bored fast if you're not 16 years old. read more

Nice little shopping center in Joliet that I go here pretty often when I'm out in the west suburbs. Parking is pretty spacious and the mall has all the essential stores. They even have wifi throughout the mall for you to use. Pretty clean everywhere around the mall. read more

This is a small town mall. Not too big and not too small. It has all the common name stores and the big department stores. I visited footlocker, kids footlocker, Macy's, Victoria secret to name a few. I enjoy walking the outlets a little more than this mall. The food court has a variety of eating options. It's okay. And I say that in the same way I'd express my thoughts about a disappointing meal that I know I'd never make again. I visit this mall for Macy's, Victoria's Secret, Gloria Jeans and...wait, why would I go here when Fox Valley mall is just as far and has the same stores? There really isn't anything unique about this mall, but it's small and parking is easy. As for the previous mentioned shops, they are just okay too in comparison with their Fox Valley counterparts. There are a lot of pointless kiosks, a total of 3 that sell cell phone accessories (that isn't counting those selling cell phones). There's a lot of wasted space in this mall. And some of those cell phone guys are pushy beyond my level of tolerance. I like that there is a movie theater here, although the one time I did go, it was crawling with teenagers hooting and hollering and jumping the velvet rope. Ick. Among the teenagers are a lot of families. This isn't your typical mom and daughter shopping trip. It's mom, dad, 3 kids, a baby in a stroller, and maybe an aunt along for the ride. The main thoroughfares can get clogged up, since most of these families aren't really paying attention to anyone because they're too busy wiping snot of the kids nose after telling them they can't ride the train, and chasing after another tot who is busy climbing under fitting room doors. I usually stop in when I have a discount coupon for Victoria's Secret and I want to get in and out quickly. There isn't much vacant space (ugh Stratford Square!) so I give them credit for keeping the place occupied, even if it means filling a spot with a shop that sells mostly polyster, fall apart clothing. read more

I was pretty surprised at how busy this place was and how many big name stores and restaurants in and surrounding the mall. Movie theaters, stores with shelves filled with merchandise, arcade, good selection of stores that people actually were shopping in. Lots of parking and ways to enter the mall. Once you get past the legal drinking age, going to the mall sucks. It's not fun, it's packed with annoying teens and senior citizens, and the selection that prevailed in the 80's and 90's is sadly lacking. Louis Joliet Mall is the antithesis of the current mall scene. Great variety of stores, numerous dining options, a massive (and clean) multiplex with D-Box and more kiosks of neat trinkets than you can shake a stick at. This mall is awful! Seems to cater to the clientele which appears to be Hispanic. Absolutely NO ONE was speaking English when we visited on Sunday. I felt like I needed my passport and we crossed the border! We witnessed a lady changing her baby on the seat cushions of the children's play area outside the Macy's entrance from the mall. GROSS!! Sears is all cheap glitter apparel, and don't attempt to walk through the appliance center; you'll get repeatedly hassled by sales associates even after telling them you're just killing time. Macy's doesn't have one quarter of the offerings as the one in Naperville. Carsons is ok. Penny's is trying to rebound but their worthington line sucks and they chopped their Liz Claiborne department down to nothing years ago. This mall needs to be bulldozed and rebuilt. read more

This place isn't horrible. But if you can manage the distance to Orland Square or Fox Valley I would strongly suggest those instead. Over the years the mall has indeed improved. They've gained several stores like Anime Zone and Charming Charlies. The movie theater and food court has undergone some vast improvements as well. Well it's the only mall in Joliet and it's great in a pinch. It has your staple stores such as Macy's, Sears, JCP, GNC (why I go if Bodybuilding.com is shipping is taking too long), Carson's, and Vic Sec's... the hat store the cell kiosk and the fake sunglasses one too. Tip... don't go on Sat or Sun it's Mexican family day and being Mexican I know first hand the WHOLE family goes... Strollers clog up the aisles and the kids of all walks of life are having the best time of there lives blocking your way to your favorite store. For me it's Shcaumburg or Water Tower. read more

This mall is okay. It's not as big as Fox Valley, which is just fine with me because I don't feel overwhelmed. There is a decent variety of stores, and I always find what I'm looking for. Parking is fine if you know where to go. I like to park on a side lot by JC Penny because I have easy and quick access to the front door (which is nice when it rains). The food court could use a bit more variety. However, there is a nice movie theater in the mall that we frequent regularly. Now if they could clean up some of the riff raff, it would receive more stars from me! read more

This mall is super expensive! Overpriced for these knock off brand clothes. Everything looks cheesy ASF. The security guards/toy cops are extra creepy. They all look like drug addicts or pedophiles. They literally followed me my son and bf around thinking we were stealing or something but was just trying to try on clothes in this place. We left after going to GameStop and purchasing a game for my son. As we leave the mall the toy cops followed us in their car until we were no longer on the premises. Luckily I was in a very good mood and paid them no mind because I would've got it cracking on them MFS and kindly would've told them to call REAL police officers. read more

I enjoy this mall because it has the main stores I shop at, and it's not so enormous that you are exhasted by the time you walk around it. The food choices are decent, also. They just added Tilted Kilt, and it seems like a store is never empty for long, before something new is added. I always feel safe shopping here, security is very visible and friendly. The theater is fabulous, very comfortable and clean. Parking is never much of an issue and I love the fact that it is all indoor. I've been to this mall a few times, and I love it! They have lots of stores compared to my mall, which is the mall in Peru, Illinois. I'm glad they have lots of business, and the last time I was there they were packed in the food court. Large malls such as this one and Fox Valley Mall deserve more business. I love their stores, and they have a few stores Peru Mall doesn't have, such as Hot Topic, Yankee Candles, Earthbound Trading Co., and a few more. We drove 45 minutes to this mall for their Halloween event that was SUPPOSED to begin at 2. The place was packed to over capacity and turns out they had let the stores start passing out candy whenever they wanted. That left no candy for everyone who came at the correct time and follow the rules. read more

It does look larger and a lot more promising from the outside, then once inside you quickly realize you don't need a directory to find anything because you only need to walk about 10 feet to find it. It's an ok mall with some stores I enjoy going to, but still presents the issue of it being a hangout spot for gangs of teenagers which poses the opportunity for them to cause trouble, but other than that it's pretty alright. It's a haul for those who don't have a car and it's only alive because Joliet is a town that houses many who work at Stateville Correctional Facility which is the main employer of citizens to this area and the mall is their place to shop and socialize at. read more

I come to this mall for a massages. There is this place in a mall where you can get an accupressure massage with your clothes on. It's the best thing ever. I like the deep tissue and usually I get level 3, 20-30 min is sufficient. Prices are very decent too. read more
