Similar to before, Pecorino's serves up Italian cuisine in a casual setting, currently open for dinner 7 nights a week. They offer a selection of pasta dishes, seafood, steaks, pizza, calzonj, burgers, salads, starters, kids menu, and desserts. The prices seem fair, most entrees $17-$27, ribeye/surf & turf $34 $42 before tax in 2026. They also serve beer, wine, and cocktails. After Diomede's closed in February 2026, I was anticipating the opening of this new Italian restaurant and made an online reservation for 7:45 pm on a Tuesday night. After working a bit late, I decided to head over to Chichester for dinner. I checked in and was immediately seated at a table. The place was not very busy as they had a busy soft opening over the weekend. Similar to before, the place has dining rooms to the left side (tile floor), front right side (hardwood floor & carpeted section) and the bar/lounge towards the back. All tables had white linen table cloths, black linen napkins and silverware. The server arrived about 3 minutes after I was seated with an ice water glass. After placing my dinner order. they brought out complementary hard focaccia bread with olive oil, spices& crushed garlic for dipping. For a starter, the Mussels alla Diavola ($16 plus tax) was comprised of 29 steamed mussels sauteed with garlic, tomatoes, olives & olive oil in a white wine red arrabbiata sauce, served with soft focaccia bread. The sauce was mild spicy, just the right strength to burn mouth. For dinner, the Pappardelle Bolognese ($21 plus tax) was a good portion of soft cooked wide noodles with a rich beef ragu and topped with parmesan and whipped ricotta cheese. This pasta dish was very hearty with spot on flavors. I actually mixed the remaining arrabbiata sauce from the mussels to give the Pappardelle a little kick. I finished all of the food, but decided no dessert. The check was presented, which was $40.14 with tax and before tip. Overall, both the Mussels alla Diavola and Pappardelle Bolognese food I had were solid good. The service here was prompt on a not so busy night. The service was pretty good and attentive with the server and hosts taking care of things with refills on the bread and ice water. I will be happy to return to Pecorino's for another dinner soon. The Orecchiette con Salsiccia and the Steak Tips sound great!

We were regulars at Diomedes. When they changed to Pecorino's we went back once and will never set foot in that place again unless there is a change of ownership. The night we were there (the Friday night that bike week began in June) we never received our food. A table of five sitting next to us never received theirs' either. After several hours, they finally got sick of waiting and left without eating. The table of four behind us advised that they only received three of their four meals and after waiting two and a half hours, we also left without receiving our food. The servers were killing themselves trying to make the customers happy while we waited, and they were doing that by serving drinks and trying to appease us for the unacceptable wait. The table of five, who was there before we came in, had a couple rounds of drinks while waiting for their food and finally asked for bread to tide them over, since they had been consuming alcoholic beverages. The server was forced to tell them there was no bread to serve them. What Italian restaurant doesn't serve bread?! The poor girl was so discouraged that I noticed tears running down her face as she walked by. I stopped her, told her NONE of this was her fault and it was a management issue. She told me that one of the cooks in the kitchen got fired and that's what the problem was. I then asked her where the manager was, and I expected to hear that they were in the kitchen filling in for the cook who was fired. Nope! Instead, she admitted there was no manager present, that it was just the servers, one bartender and whoever was in the kitchen, who were running the place. Given that information, it appears that if someone in the kitchen may have left, but it probably wasn't because they got fired, since no manager was there to fire them! Several days later, my husband saw that the owner of this establishment posted on his facebook page that while his employees were working to salvage the reputation of HIS restaurant, he was at his other establishment up the road, in the parking lot with one of his buddies, filming the smoke show that the buddy was doing on his motorcycle. We couldn't believe it. These poor girls were killing themselves and he's off screwing around someplace else. What I witnessed in that establishment that night was so wrong. Those girls were running around with their heads chopped off trying to keep people from walking out, and this clown is at his other place playing with his buddies. After this incident, I suspect I know now why the previous Chef of Diomedes decided not to continue his amazing talent at that particular location. I addressed with another bartender a few says later that it wasn't really wise for the staff to continue to ply waiting customers with multiple alcoholic beverages when the customers believe they are going to have food in their stomach when they leave, but then leave on an empty stomach because they never received their food. I advised her that there is huge liability on her and the owner if someone leaves there, gets stopped and investigated for DUI or gets into a crash after never getting the food they went there for and expected to eat. She stated to me "Wow, you're right-I never though about that." I advised her that it is the MANAGEMENT'S responsibility to "think about that" and to educate their staff, but more importantly, assure it never happens. This place is a trainwreck and we will never go back because of the situation this owner placed his staff in that evening. It is clear he doesn't really care about their wellbeing and I will not give my money to anyone who puts their staff in such a horrible position. The staff were there to serve the guests, not ply them with alcohol to placate them and then hope the food made it out of the kitchen. This moron set up at the very least, the bartender to possibly get sued if someone had left there after having a few drinks over several hours while waiting for their food, never receiving it and then getting into a crash. Diomedes was great-this place is a first class train wreck and I've been hearing the food stinks as well.
