I would like to share my experience to encourage others to carefully inspect their purchases before leaving the store. I purchased a pair of glasses on December 18, 2022, along with a backpack and a bracelet. Everything was packaged very nicely, so I did not check the items closely at the time. I only wore the glasses a few times and did not notice any issue until April 19, 2023, when I realized that the black LV logo was missing from one side. I am unsure whether this was a defect at the time of purchase or if it came off during normal wear. Given the price and reputation of the brand, I expected higher quality. I returned to the store to ask if anything could be done. The store manager (Allan) informed me that there were no complimentary solutions available. Even if the item were sent to the repair department, I would be responsible for the cost, the process would take approximately two months, and there was no guarantee it could be fixed. As a frequent customer who lives nearby and shops at Louis Vuitton often, I was disappointed by this experience. I had hoped for greater support and accountability from a high-end brand. The client advisor Michaela was very helpful when shopping and picking out my bag. This location has 2 floors to browse around very clean bathrooms and chair to sit while waiting for your order to be wrapped up. Hot Stamp available and may take couple of days. Louis Vuitton!! It's one of those places we always have to make it a point to visit if there is one at our vacation spot. We made a couple of personal appointments at two LV locations in Oahu. We arrived to the Honolulu Gump Building a little earlier than our scheduled time. They were not too busy when we entered. We were greeted right away by their door greeter and security guard. Nozomi took care of my daughter and I. She was extremely pleasant and helpful. I showed her my wishlist items on my LV app and she quickly went to work on the store and ordering availability. One of the bags were available in the store but the other bag we requested, Neo Alma PM, were sold out everywhere and not available to order. While we looked over the toiletry bag, Nozomi brought out a couple of recommendations. They were so spot on to our style and taste! We decided on purchasing the toiletry and one of the recommended LV bags that she brought out. While she wrapped up our bags, we walked around the store and upstairs. The store is very clean and neat as expected at any LV store. Everyone was very nice and I appreciate that we were not judge on how we appeared - relaxed beach attire. Store is beautiful. Service was wonderful. If you're in Hawaii, you have to take advantage of the pricing value in Hawaii. A must visit location if you're visiting Oahu. I was waiting for her to pull out the black strap, (which is the one I had in mind for this bag) and it was nowhere to be found . She and another personal shopper started to tear the place up looking for it because that's the one I really wanted . Mind you, she's also helping out my mom at the same time-- who is not as easy or quick to purchase as I am lol . I applaud her energy . After about a good 10-15 minutes, they finally found the bag with the black strap-- I tried it on and told her to ring me up ! Through this entire process, my mom was on the other side of the counter looking at her favs . She already had one in mind that she loved and was falling in love with another pink bag she saw when she walked in . Let's just say my mother is the most indecisive person on earth lol . This was my first time at the Waikiki store. I'm usually at the one in Ala Moana. The parking was a little hard to find. It's the first right after you turn left on Lewers. Parking for clients is on the fifth floor and LV validates. There was no line when I got there. I gave me name to the greeter and walked right in. The CA was nice and helped me with what I needed. I wanted the Chinese New Year ribbon and gift tag packaging, but they were out. She did have the CNY tissue paper and gave that to me. Only the Waikiki store carries the Les Extraits perfume collection. I liked the Cosmic Cloud the best and went with that one. The CA did not offer to engrave my bottle for me. I'll have to take it to the Ala Moana location and have my regular CA do it for me. *After speaking with my regular CA, he told me that it's hard to engrave the Les Extraits bottles because of the design. The machine will have a hard time clamping onto the bottle. The CA at Waikiki should have explained this to me. read more

For reasons unknown to me, some designer brands (i.e. Louis Vuitton, YSL, Gucci) have "Hawaii pricing", which is often 10-15% less than the retail price of these goods. Obviously, it depends on what you're buying, but I've regularly saved hundreds of dollars when buying a designer bag in Hawaii. The tax rate in Hawaii is also lower than the tax rate I have in Southern California, so it's a win for me. This particular location was located right by my hotel, so my husband and I decided to swing by and check it out. I didn't really have a purse in mind, and wanted to just see what they had in stock. We were greeted by an SA named Tina, and we had a blast with her. She was kind, patient, and never pushy. She asked questions about what I liked to gauge my personality and style and then she'd bring out bags she thought I might like. I ended up purchasing a few items and then later coming back with my sister who also shopped with Tina. We were both very happy with our experiences. Thanks Tina! Interesting fact: Louis is cheaper on the island. It's called Island Tax. Which you'd think means more money but in order to be more competitive on island they lower their places so don't order online but go to the store. After checking in with the receptionist she handed us off to our personal shopper who asked us what we were looking for and she showed us options in different colors, provided opinions, and told us about the tax. We were on vacation and entered the LV Gump's just 25 mins before closing. No line - which is incredible as I was at two LVs in the past two months - Cologne, Germany and Amsterdam where I waited in line 30 mins and 1hour+ respectively. The security guard and the front of store team greeted us with warm smiles and Mira came forward asking how she could help. This is a way overdue review for Alanna at this location. I've been continually purchasing bags from her since 2021. She is so kind, responsive and accommodating. During Covid, she came out of the store to give me my bags curbside as I was too freaked out to go in. Every rare piece that I have wanted she would go the extra mile for me to ensure that I can purchase it. When things are sold out (I love their pink bags) she remembers to call or text me once they're available again as she's conscientious of her clients. Alanna, however isn't working in sales anymore, (she works in operations now) as I believe she earned and deserves that promotion. However, she continues to help me with items that I'm interested in...though she isn't in that department she STILL goes the extra mile and always responds to me. Very recently, she helped me obtain a rare Murakami bag that has been sold out. Once it came in she texted me and brought it out curbside as I was in a rush that day. A few days ago she filled me in on the best way to purchase the 2025 cherry blossom Murakami PM bag. I wasn't able to get one online, as it sold out within 10 minutes of pre-sale, so she offered to help me again once it officially launched the following week though there were no guarantees. I was actually expecting to go to the Louis Vuitton at Ala Moana Center, but all of a sudden the item location on the LV website said that the Brazza Wallet I was looking for was actually at the Louis Vuitton Honolulu Gump's Building. Worked for me, since this was a quick walk from our hotel! Since our room wasn't ready when we arrived at our hotel, I figured I would handle my business at LV first. If you don't know, the reason I don't bother with buying LV back home in California is that the MSRP is cheaper by around 10% in Hawaii, plus the sales tax rate in Honolulu is a lot less than SoCal tax rates. It is cheaper to buy in Europe because of the VAT refund, but I wanted this wallet now because I'm not sure if Europe is happening anytime soon. Had to wait about 15 minutes outside before going inside since a lot of LV's stores dictate that a client advisor must be assigned to you before going inside. No big deal, unlike a lot of people who come here, I knew exactly what I wanted and it made a very smooth process. Was assigned Dale as my CA, and he was great and very friendly. I told him that I was looking for the Brazza Wallet and we immediately handled that business straight off the bat. What really made this particular experience memorable was that Dale took his time to allow me to check out all sorts of bags that I had no intention of buying on this trip. I probably looked at five different bags, including two Keepalls, two Discovery Backpacks, and a few Messengers. It was really nice to actually talk shop with someone who knew his stuff. He might've actually changed my mind on what Keepall I eventually get down the road! Overall, a great experience at Louis Vuitton Honolulu Gump's Building. I had the Neo Noe on my wishlist for years!! When I found out prices were cheaper in Hawaii I knew this would be my shot to get my next unicorn. I stalked the LV website and selected Mexico and was able to keep tabs on the Noe days prior to my arrival. They open at 11am and I am so happy my room was available and within a block of the store. I walked over and there was already a short line at 11:10am. I first asked the greeter if my bag was available so I know if I should stay in line or not. It was available and I was quoted a 20 minute wait. The 20 minute wait turned out to be 40 minutes. Michael assisted me and showed me around the store and the different items they have in stock. I asked to see the Noe MM in empriente in navy/red and the monogram MM with red and the Noe BB in navy. I was so torn between the MM's, but ended up with the navy/red in empriente. I love that it is so different from the monogram pieces I already have. He gave me his contact if I was interested in anything else and also gave me a sample of On The Beach. When I walked out of the store, the line had doubled in size. Due to Covid, lines are long and they do not do a virtual queue so I suggest coming right when the open to get the piece(s) you want and to avoid the line. read more
