Updating now as I switched over to hybrid extensions (used to get classics). I love the extra flair that hybrid gives and it still stays on super long. I also appreciate how over the years Lou has become even more skillful and quicker at applying the extensions and doing touch ups. For a new set it is usually less than an hour. For hybrid touch-ups it takes about 20-30 minutes. read more

NEW SERVICE - DRY (SCALP) HEAD SPA!! I'm still a regular for lashes (upgraded to the hybrids and they're still natural looking with more definition). And brows have been part of the regimen since I started this Spring! Not sure how I lived before brow lamination?? lol! Tried the new scalp massage a couple times called Dry Head Spa. Chizu did the treatment for me. (Chizu also has yoga classes that are great as well if you wanted to try a private class!) I'm not a message person, but this was indeed relaxing and helped with tension I had from stress from work and not sleeping well. If you've done those Chinese messages before where the therapist massages your body on a chair while you're fully clothed, then this is similar but for your scalp. You get a questionnaire where they ask you what type of pressure you're ok with. I chose medium. There's no oils or creams used and your hair stays clean through the process. We started off with Chizu brushing my hair to avoid tangles. The scalp message was so nice that I fell asleep a couple of times. So if I'm not as detailed, this is why. Haha! But I remember some pressure points that were compressed that felt great! All in all it took about 45-50 mins. Really great way to end things after staring at a computer screen all day. This is a long overdue review! Let's blame it on traveling and becoming a grandmom! Lou is professional, sweet and very good at taking care of you and applying lashes. She takes time to go over all the details and the procedure involved in applying the lashes. She makes you feel at ease so that you don't feel like you have to be nervous about the procedure. She tells you what options you have for the different types of services she offers. She also makes recommendations on which style she thinks would be best for your eyes. The application/procedure took over a hour. At no time did I feel like she was rushing to get the job done. The price tag is not cheap but for the time, the service, how natural the lashes looked & how long the lashes lasted, it was worth it. I did them for my son's wedding. I didn't even need eyeliner bc the lashes created a natural line. I highly recommend Lou. She is good at what she does. I have done my lashes at nail places and other small lash boutique places. The service and how long the lashes stay on for is nothing close to what Lou. Lou is the best even though her prices are on the high side. If I could afford to get my lashes done often, I would definitely commit to getting them done by Lou. They say you pay for what you get and with Lou, you get excellent personal service, thorough info, clean and professional location and lasting lashes that are beautiful, full & natural looking. read more

I've been coming to Lou's for 4+ years and I've never had any issues. I originally started w classic extensions until I got curious about hybrid extensions. Lou explained the difference and when I was ready I opted for Hybrid. Time wise, classic touch-up is quicker than Hybrid. However, I don't mind the 20-30 min Hybrid touch-up bc Lou is very professional and the studio is relaxing. I also wanted to provide an update since I've been back to Lou a few times since she opened back in February. We all know that there a lot of requirements for small businesses to be able to open and operate during this time. Lou has been taking every precaution to make sure the place is safe and sanitary! She requires masking and sanitizes before and after each client. She offers contactless payments so there are options to pay without having anybody else touch your card. She also only has ONE client in at any time, which makes it feel very much like VIP service since you're the only one in there while getting your lashes done. As always, she is clean, professional, and I come out after each service completely happy with my lashes! To be honest, I do not expect anything less from Lou! I have been going to Lou for about 3 years now. As many beautiful ladies, I highly recommend her. I see her about 1-2 times a month and I get nothing but positive compliments. Lous Beauty Bar is the best there is! I have been coming here for a few Years now and Lou does such beautiful work with applying eyelash extensions! She is the only person I trust and know will do an amazing job every time. She is very pleasant and I look forward to my eyelash appointments, very clean and very professional. This location has a lot of public parking available behind the hifi espresso/hermosa saloon which makes it easy to get to your appointment without feeling rushed but typically if available you can park on PCH on the weekends all day and Monday through Friday as well but only until 3pm, but that's never really an issue since there's public parking available. I recently tried out the hair/makeup service with Mai and she does awesome work as well! I really enjoyed the makeup but I think she did an amazing job at fixing my hair very nicely I didn't want to take It out at the end of the day! if you are looking for a place that does beautiful lashes, nails, hair, makeup, definitely do not hesitate to reach out! I get A LOT of compliments from customers (I work in customer service industry.). they all ask me if the are real lashes. Lou's work is amazing, I like natural style but gorgeous looking design. She made them very natural, but very gorgeous and sexy without looking like very fake lashes. Her glues are also super good, they don't fall out easily at all like other places. They last until your own lashes fall out due to hair cycle which is about 3-4 weeks. I recommend going back to get refill within 3-4 weeks. She does refill pretty quickly.
