Despite the hostile, othering sign out front (which made me wary and alert) we decided to go in since it had good ratings and a lot of them. I enjoyed the Sunday special, fried chicken with mashed potatoes and apple sauce, and my spouse enjoyed their burger. All the food we had was good. The service was pleasant and good. The decor was cute. I liked the wooden trains on the walls. I wondered the whole time about the purpose of the sign. I figured to welcome those like them and warn others to stay away. I say Merry Christmas, love America, support the troops and police...but being brown and urban, the sign kept me on my toes. No one gave me any looks or said anything rude, but my cortisol levels ran high. All the panels were nice, except the 4th one down (If it offends you, you can leave). If they had simply omitted that, it would have been a perfectly nice sentiment.

If I could give six stars, I would! WOW doesn't even get it half way there. Found this place by accident and decided to give it a try for lunch. The staff, "Tiffany" and, well every staff member there.... Just knocked it out the park. A home feeling place where you feel very welcome and wanted. All food made from scratch! Nothing skimpy about it. Oh, and the chicken fry was one of the best I've ever had. Hand battered, and from a pork tenderloin! Homeade Mac-and-cheese, and the rolls.... Oh my... the rolls. Yum! Homeade pies to die for. As we ate, there was little conversation as my wife and I could only manage the word "oh my, so good" every few seconds! Left just hurtin it was so good. Don't miss out. Very reasonable prices and you will feel like your sittin at your aunts house having a Sunday supper.

Good food, the grilled chicken tenders had good flavor & nice and juicy but the mashed potatoes were ice cold. My aunt got 1/2 order of the beef manhattan she said the meat was tender and there was a lot in the manhattan however her mashed potatoes were cold as well. Other than that the food was good & the waitress was super friendly.

After leaving Cataract Falls on a Monday evening we were looking for a place to call in an order for pick up & take back to our AirB&B. That's when we found Lou's Diner. We looked at the menus on Yelp. I called to place an order. The lady on the phone said it would be about 20 minutes (which was perfect because it was going to take us 15 minutes to get there). The parking lot was packed but luckily there were a few spots open. I parked & walked in. There was a specific area for pick up orders. I went to the window. I could see several large groups of people at tables eating. They all looked like they were having a good time. A lady came over & asked for my name. Our food came out as she was giving me the total. Both ladies were super nice. Mom & I both ordered cheeseburgers. I ordered fries with mine & mom ordered onion rings. Our burgers were very tasty. The fries were good - nothing crazy. But those onion rings? Incredible. They were perfectly crispy & delicious. We talked about driving back just to get another order. Overall, if you are looking for a local place to eat - this seems like this is where the locals come on a regular basis & I understand why. Great prices & great food.

    Breaded pork tenderloin

Stopped in on the recommendation of a friend. Ordered the breaded tenderloin and homemade onion rings... $8.+ dollars for this massive BPT . I could only eat less than 1/2. We ordered 5 tenderloins & 2 orders of onion rings = $65.00. Service was great.

Wow it was a fantastic pork tenderloin sandwich. If you are on your way near Indianapolis stop in this place you won't be disappointed. And get the coconut cream pie to go it is home made just like my sister's. Service was very quick and friendly. The young lady knew many of the customers by name. Ambiance it's a mom and pop place with great food here in the Midwest. No fancy table clothes needed just great food.

After a family trip to Cataract Falls, we found this place while searching food choice along the route home. Had some good reviews. I agree 100%! Party of 11 sat quickly. Friendly service. Pork Tenderloin was huge, thick, & tasty! They even split it for us. Got the mushrooms side, so good! Got a peanut butter pie to share and was delicious! I would highly recommend! We left stuffed and happy!

    Huge tenderloin! VERY good!

If you ever need a place to eat in Cloverdale, Lou's Diner is pretty good, for sandwiches and fried sides. Our grandson got the single cheeseburger and I got the Reuben, which were both good. Hubby got the tenderloin, and it was EXCELLENT, and HUGE! The fries were very thick and just so-so. Onion rings and fried mushrooms were VERY good! Some of the booth seat are old and worn and duct-taped - but other than that, the place looks nice inside - very clean, and decorated super-cute. Our waitress was cheerful and attentive, quick to notice drinks getting low and to refill them. Top-notch service. For a small town "hole-in-the wall," it was really a pleasant meal. We will stop here again sometime.

Amazing breaded tenderloin. You get full from just eating the overhang or the tenderloin off the sides of the sandwich.

It wasn't clear what their hours were: the website said they were open until 4pm, while the hours posted Google and on the door said 2pm, and here on Yelp it says 3pm. They also had a paper sign taped to the door saying they would close that day at 1pm. Fortunately we made it there a half hour before closing, but it would probably be a good idea for them to sort that out across the various platforms. I ordered a latte with praline syrup which was nice (the cups and lids were kind of the best I've seen at a coffee shop, which is random, but worth mentioning) as well as a bagel and a donut. The donut was a chocolate long john and I asked the person taking my order if they were filled or unfilled. They said unfilled, which is what I wanted, but when I got back to my car, it was filled. My husband went in to place his own order, so he purchased another normal chocolate frosted donut and it was fine, but I would have been bummed if I had been on my own and gotten the wrong thing. My bagel was good and my husband enjoyed the coffee and pastry he ordered, plus my reject donut. ;) Looks like it'd be a nice place to stay and enjoy a meal or do some work, as there was a whole separate sitting area upstairs.

Anyway, walked into the cutest shop with wonderful employees ready to serve. Ordered a wonderful tasting espresso to go and a couple of donuts for the road back home. Tried the sprinkle birthday cake donut and a regular yeast donut. There were many options for bread choices and saw a large open space upstairs as well as a good amount of seating downstairs. Appears you can watch the bakery working while sitting as well, which is a nice add to any cafe/coffeeshop. PROS: Space is large and inviting Friendly staff Easy parking across the street or on the street Cake donut was great, needs a few more sprinkles but great Coffee taste was great, had a double espresso so definitely tasted the coffee Breakfast sandwiches were on the menu, did not try, but great option CONS: Yeast donut- depends on what you like. It is a thicker yeast donut not the light and fluffy I can eat 10 at a sitting type of yeast, but the taste was good HIGHLY RECOMMEND STOPPING INTO THIS ONE STOP SHOP!
