We couldn't have asked for a better petsitter. Lovable Pet Sitter/Alexandra stayed a week with Parker, our miniature dachshund and it was truly a relief to have someone we could trust not only to take care of him but our home too. We had Alexandra and Ed visit our two dogs twice a day while we were gone for two weeks. We were very anxious since we had not been away from our dogs for this long and this was our first experience with Lovable Pet Sitters. Ed and Alexandra are THE BEST dog sitters we've ever had! They've been our dog sitters for over 3 years now (nearly 4) and we've never had any problems - quite amazing considering that one of our dogs is prone to anxiety issues and the other is aggressive towards other dogs. So leaving them at home "unsupervised" or going on walks can be challenging and daunting. Oh and did I mention that they're both 70lb Akitas! We usually hire them for our long vacation trips, anywhere from 2-4 weeks and we always feel that our dogs are in good hands. The reassurance they provide is why we keep hiring them. We can tell when we come home from our trips that our dogs felt comfortable too, and in fact, probably miss Alexandra because of how well she takes care of them. As other yelp reviews have mentioned, Ed and Alexandra are very thorough and leave "report cards" after every visit in addition to email/text updates with picture to show "proof of life" haha. Those pictures ARE the best! They will also water plants, check mail, take out trash and do additional services included in their price that you wouldn't expect a dog sitter to do. And to show how committed they are, they recently stopped service in Mira Mesa, where we are, but told us that they would continue to be our dog sitters because of our long relationship and their relationship with our dogs. I had arranged in advance dog sitting and agreed upon rate with Alexandra of $12/visit to just let my dog out in the morning with food and water and put them in at night. She agreed to that rate and we set an appointment time so she could meet the dogs. She was very nice yet as I was filling out the paperwork with the rate we agreed to she changed her rate to $20/visit. I told her I would not pay that and that we had agreed on the phone to $12/visit. She said fine but as I was filling out the paperwork she decided she wasn't going to do it and took the papers and left. I told her that was very unprofessional as I had planned on her sitting my dogs the next day. As it was now early evening she left me in a lurch with no dog sitter for the next day. Again very unprofessionlal. If she didn't want to do the job for $12 per visit she should have said so on the phone and not wasted my time coming to the house. I do think they would be good dog sitters if you want to pay $20/visit, but that is not what we agreed to in advance. In the end, the way she handled the transaction calls to question her credibility. read more
