Love & honey is a fitting name; I loved it and their chicken does go great with honey. Since opening, my friend and I have been talking about trying this place so l am glad we finally made it happen. We went on a Wednesday afternoon, so it was calm. We ordered a Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, an order of wings (3), and an order of spicy tater tots. The total came out to about $35 which is fair. Before paying, they did warn us that they function on a made to order style for freshness so the wait would be about 20 minutes; we were fine with that. While we waited, I took in my surroundings and noticed the fun posters they have on one side and the bright red chairs to contrast the wooden tables which I liked. Our food was done after about 15-20 minutes and it was still very hot. We had to wait a couple minutes to eat the chicken wings so we started with the tots and chicken sandwich. The tots did have a spicy seasoning on them but I wish they were evenly coated; it seemed like the seasoning was added afterwards to only the top side. They were a bit overcooked, so crispy, but the inside wasn't as soft. The chicken sandwich was great. The chicken was tender, thick, big, and a little spicy from the chili oil - but nothing unbearable. The ranch slaw was crunchy and creamy for a texture contrast. More ranch wouldn't have hurt. The bun was also surprisingly very good, slightly sweet. The chicken wings were crispy on the outside, juicy and hot on the inside. The fried (or battered) skin was thin, which allowed for the taste of the chicken to still be present. They do give you options on dipping sauces and we chose hot honey, but it also came with ranch which tasted homemade. Decided to give this place one more try. I see now why my order was cold the first time we received it. I ordered only chicken tenders through the online portal. When I submitted my order, it gave me a timeframe of an hour, which surprised me. I decided to call and cancel my order since it felt too long to wait for tenders, especially since I called within five minutes of placing it. The person on the phone asked for my name and let me know that my order was actually ready, even though the app said I had to wait an hour. I feel like this might be happening to a lot of customers, which could explain why online orders are cold as many reviews on here and TikTok have expressed. The food may have been ready for a while, but the app provides a timeframe that is not accurate. I went to pick it up and tried the chicken. It was actually warm and delicious. I was very surprised. Came here for the first time, really excited to try the fried chicken I've heard so much about. The dining room is small, but has comfortable seating. Bathroom is clean. Service was super friendly. We tried the tenders, a couple of pieces of chicken, but my favorite were the wings! I would come back for these wings every single day if I could. Tender juicy chicken with a satisfying crunch! Not a single dry bite at all. The honey on the chicken paired well, it wasn't too much honey, but just enough to know it was there. Well breaded and seasoned generously. The tots were fried well and had that same crunch as the chicken. Sauces were pretty decent but would mix it up next time. Service was very fast, friendly, and welcoming although having a busier crowd. Awesome flavor, everything was super fresh and came out quickly even though it started getting busy. My friends thought the chicken was seasoned well and crispy. The meat was white and looked super juicy. A moment for these sauces too- that hot honey is up there with Popeyes' Sweet Heat. It was great. The seasoned tots were pretty spicy. But fresh and crispy. They are out of so many things. No chicken. You can get tenders and sandwich. Just can't get legs or drumsticks or breast. Only small potato salad. No corn bread. This is at 6pm on a Monday. I am a tender connoisseur. I went opening day and knowing that, you always expect something to go wrong. But everything was amazing! The server was so friendly at the register, and it was nice seeing how busy it was. The tenders were so flavorful and crispy, they were good with the delicious sauces or on their own. You can't say that about other tender places. The Nashville tots were perfectly seasoned and paired well with the homemade ranch. And the Nashville chicken sandwich was so fresh and big! We went yesterday for their grand opening and tried the OG sandwich, tenders, the spicy sandwich and both desserts (Oreo chocolate chip cookie and banana bread pudding).
