Italian Meal Deal was absolutely awesome. I ordered the large it was longer than my arm and packed with fresh cold cuts, and a few custom toppings. Came with a soda and bag of chips. I used to go to Ricotti's when I lived in NP, so to find out there was one closer to my new living place made me so excited AND it's just as great. The service is amazing, they're super quick in here, all fresh food and the taste is always so good. I really enjoy me a spicy Italian sub. The grilled chicken sub was nice and flavorful, with an over-abundance of chicken. The spicy Italian sub, however, was solid but mostly forgettable. It had an over-abundance of banana peppers and pickles, but not in a good way. It gave the sub an excessively tangy flavor without much to offset it. It also wasn't very spicy; I expected a lot more kick. While it's not a sub I'd get again, I certainly would try the grilled chicken sub again, as well as sample other offerings. read more

I've eaten here a second and third time (both to-go orders), since I got re-acquainted with their new location, and they are still maintaining their 4-star rating. On my second visit, I had a small veal parmigiana grinder; it was delicious, high-quality veal, and quite filling, even though it was a small sandwich. I bought the wife a small cheeseburger grinder, and my wife, who is somewhat picky, thought hers was delicious too, and ate the whole thing! On my third visit, I got two orders of their fish and chips ($7.95 each). I gave my wife the top container, and I took the bottom container. After we opened our containers, I noticed hers seemed to have more fish than mine! Fortunately, I had eaten a late lunch, so it was no big deal for me. The fish was decent, although the batter was fried to proper color and consistency on the outside, it was still a bit gooey on the inside. The fryolator oil was probably due for a change. Nevertheless, the fish itself was fine, and the fries were a good texture, and not soggy at all. The meal came with cole slaw (also good) and a lemon wedge. Not the best fish & chips I've ever had, but still decent, and the price was a good value. I would have no qualms about ordering it again. All three visits, my food has been ready for pickup when promised, which is a bonus. read more

A great sandwich shop in North Providence. It looks like it has been there for 150 years, its very clean and the grinders are delicious. I had my first Ricotti's Italian grinder yesterday and it did not dissapoint. The selection of meats, cheeses and toppings were perfect. Dressed with a bit of oil and vinegar on a crusty and chewy grinder roll. Perfection! I also got the chicken soup - to be honest I could have done without it as it wasn't the best I've ever had and I should have just stuck with the sub. I was surprised at how old the building is and how surprisingly clean it is in there. I don't think they have updated the space from the moment they opened however it adds to the overall charm. I arrived around noon and a line formed behind me. It was almost as if they had a staff member waiting in the back for each person that walked thru the door. Quick, clean and delicious. read more

Seems like every time I want to get food from them they're never open! they close super early on week ends which is crazy because that's probably their busiest time ...and they close extremely early on Sundays I called 40 minutes before they're supposed to close today and the phones are off not taking any more sandwiches that seems kind of rediculous.... Not only that but most of the times when I go the people working don't look like they want to be there and they're always miserable with an attitude. The veal parmesan is made with real veal cutlets, and is my go to sandwich. The Willow Tree chicken salad and sandwich is also pretty amazing. Ricotti's has some of the best subs around with reasonable prices. The seafood salad is always fresh and the steak and cheese is spot on. The trouble is with the service and the staff. I called at 7:20pm and they don't close until 8pm. The girl answered the phone and said "sorry we are closing soon and not taking any pickup orders". Really? 40 minutes before closing and your not taking orders? Seems like you should post the hours you stop taking orders to minimize frustration for customers. Went in at 12:20pm and ordered two cold subs. 1 small tuna and 1 medium spicy Italian. Told me that if I paid before receiving the sandwiches they would bring them out to my car. I paid and included a tip. 20 minutes later he came out with a bag, that I thought was mine. Wrong! It was for a person who placed their order 10 minutes after mine. I asked why it was taking so long for two cold sandwiches? The answer was "Sorry! She's working on your order right now." 15 minutes later he came out with my order and said, "We are very busy, so I pushed your order ahead". So, not only did it take over 30 minutes for a couple of subs, he lied when he said "she's working on your order". Also, when I got home and opened the bag, there were 2 small subs instead of 1 small and 1 medium. Always liked the taste of Riccottis' subs, but the aggravation is not worth it. Went to get a couple of takeout sandwich's last night, (sat. 11/22), we ordered and sat in our car in front of the glass door and window, while order was being made. During Covid19 rules masks and gloves should be worn while preparing food. Everything was fine until a girl came in with what looked like ice coffee's. At that point the very young lady making our sandwich's pulled her mask down to drink one of the drinks. NOT putting her mask back on she continued to prepare the food, she never had gloves on at any time. While we watched her, she stuck her fingers in her mouth for some reason. She never stopped to wash her hands after putting them in her mouth. At that point I told my wife to go back in and cancel food and get a refund, I would not take a chance, with covid 19 around, on eating the food. Understand my wife is retired after 30 years State of RI service and I after 15 years in US Army and retiring after over 30 year Federal service do not go around lying about such things. As soon as my wife starting request a refund and explain why, the young girl slipped her mask back on. The other women, which we assumed to be the manager started to argue saying they had masks and nothing was wrong, basically calling us liars. Finally she called the owner who did reimburse us. I do hope the owner looks at his videos he said he had and get some help with more common sense and work effects !!!
