Love Nails is awesome!!! I have been seeing Kim for about a year now. She was at another nail salon in Santee, but then her husband Danny and her decided to start their own nail salon!! So I moved over!!! Danny is also amazing at pedicures and there is another girl there named Ann, that also does amazing pedicures as well. I love getting the gel nail polish because it lasts so much longer and they all know how to do some great design work that's not just your typical flower or star. It is truly like artwork with the smudging of the brush, and almost like an ombré style nail. Its pretty cool! I don't even live in Santee and I still make the drive out there because I love the way that Kim does my nails. I'm a chronic nail biter so she helps me maintain them by making them a little bit thicker then your normal nail. I have lived in Santee for 5 years and have struggled with finding a good nail salon out of the many, many choices in the area. After being disappointed with having unevenly filed nails, poor staying quality, and being hurt, I finally came upon Love Nails on Yelp. After reading reviews, I decided to try them out, and I am not disappointed! The salon is always neat & clean and the utensils sterilized. I have gotten 2 gel manicures and 1 regular pedicure ~ nothing fancy. The manis, both by Navy, have been meticulous and the first one lasted over 2 weeks with minor chipping on my right hand on days 14 and 15, which I expected since I am right-handed. The pedicure was awesome in that the tech, Mimi, actually listened to me when I said I wanted the nails short and really worked diligently on those hard to reach corners. She knows what she's doing and does really good and fun designs. I always get compliments on my nails. Super friendly and very professional staff. The new shop is really clean and comfortable. The pedicure chairs are nice and new, they have a hook for your purse and a tray for your drink. No more purse on the floor and fumbling with your drink. I've tried out Love nails 4 times now in the past few months. After receiving subpar service at another Santee nail salon after years, I decided to try a new location closer to home. Once again Yelp didn't fail me in sending me here. I've gotten pedicures each time with different staff each time and each one has done a great job. They are thorough, use new tools each time(I've watched them open wrappers from tools for every pedicure I've received), and don't take forever to get the job done. This place is clean and they seem to pride themselves in that. They can get busy at times, but seem to have a pretty good handle on number of staff for busier times of day/week. I've never had to wait more than a couple minutes to be seated, although it can happen. Guess I've just timed it right. This is now my new nail place, with easy parking, friendly and professional staff, and great work. Nail polish selection seems great for gel and ok for regular. I always bring my own, though. This place is amazing. Clean, comfortable and relaxing. Danny did my pedicure. I had surgery on one of my feet 3 years ago. He listened to my request to not massage my toes due to the surgery. Most places charge ahead and the massage is painful. I had an excellent pedicure and experience. Side note: if you come at a busy time you'll probably have to wait - that happens at popular shops.
