    14. Pickled Cabbage Fish Slices Rice Noodles/
    Felicia Y.

Good rice noodles (not normal noodles!) All the toppings come out in the big bowl already mixed for you so you just add your noodles. The fish was tender and soup was flavorful, salty, sour, and the perfect amount of spice. The portions are also big so it is good for 2 meals.

This was our first visit to Love Noodle. They opened in April of 2024. We arrived at 7pm on a Thursday and the place was completely empty, we were the first party to arrive. The server spoke great English for those that care, but also fluent Mandarin - and he provided great, friendly service. When we walked in, he immediately notified us that all of the soup broths have pork in them, even the mushroom/fish soups. As someone with dietary restrictions, I really appreciated this. Two of us ordered the Mala Spicy fish filet noodle soup, and one chose the thai spicy beef noodle soup. When we ordered, the server warned us that it is authentic and that the mala is "Chinese hot" - again, appreciated! We have very high spice tolerance - and this was absolutely authentically mala spicy. I would not order this unless you consider yourself to have a high spice tolerance. Our buddy that ordered the Thai spicy said that it was mostly manageable, but a few bites throughout the soup were super spicy and would catch him off guard. I was too hungry and didn't take a photo, but I really liked the bowls they serve their noodle soups in. Overall, I liked the noodle soup, and the type of noodles they use are similar to the ones at cross bridge noodle soups. However, in all honesty - the mala broth at Malatang I prefer much more. It's much more flavorful, umami - but less spicy , so it depends what you're looking for. Based on our experience, I would be happy to come back to try some of the other options. I hope their slow night is not a representation of how their business is going. I truly wish them success!

We stopped here for a meal after visiting the Flower Show on March 2, 2025. It was worth choosing Love Noodle despite the overabundance of eateries close by. On such a cold and blustery day, the hot tea and hot soup warmed our bones quickly. Due to a large party in the back, we sat close to the door in what seemed like a very long hallway. It was not too narrow and nothing about that detracted from our meal. Service was SO FAST. Almost as soon as we sat down we had water and hot tea and a little snack-type-box of nuts and I don't know what... LOL! But it was quick! Same with our dinner food, which came out quickly and was close to magma-like temperatures. I had to wait quite a bit to safely eat my soup. Service was more than adequate. The host and waiter were friendly and eager to explain things on the menu or answer any questions we have. I would like to go back to Love Noodle again and again and would recommend the restaurant to anyone.

Beef brisket/ vegetable over white rice

Food was disgusting , the smell from the meat before even getting a noodle in my mouth was so overwhelming I gagged, smell so bad like if it was old. And the beef brisket over rice had no taste, the rice was old and the half of hard boiled egg that was presented on the dish was old as well. Food disgusting , never again.. couldn't even take a bite . Restaurant staff did not charge us for the order and we left.. just not for me..

"Love Noodle," is a clever name that evokes double entendres for me. True, my Thai Spicy Noodle Soup with Beef Slices was very good, I equally enjoyed the friendliness of my servers who had the bowl and fixings at my table in about three minutes, as well as the funny image in my head of limp love noodles and the cure for E.D. Regardless, the soup was definitely Thai Spicy and scalding hot as well. Adjusted on the fly with chopsticks and large spoon to permit cooling before eating. There were plenty of thin sliced hot pot beef, bok choy, bits of pork lunch meat and even a miniature boiled egg. Enjoyed the whole three dimensional experience. I couldn't finish the soup and took the balance home for the fam. Glad I didn't order any apps, because I just would have been stuffed no matter how good they were. The space was long and deep like most Chinatown kitchens, but cleaner than most, with a few interesting wall art pieces. Love Noodle is definitely worth the noodling. Five Piping Hot Stars

Classic rice noodle spot with generous portions for a good value! Unlike other rice noodle restaurants in the area, you can replace the noodle with rice or other noodle types. I appreciate the starter seaweed salad and salted peanuts they offered! The interior was clean and service was quick.

A new rice noodle place in Philly, soft opening now. With both soup and sauce mixed selections, and the price seems reasonable. Unfortunately the quality was disappointing... Got take out of a sauce mixed rice noodles, the box was only 60% filled... is the portion also discounted during soft opening?! lol... It's super plain yet still very salty *_* there's half a marinated egg, a few pieces of the meat you selected, barely existence shreds of carrots and that's it! There's no other veggies or other items to add any texture or flavor. So plain so boring, no much flavor other than the salty soy based sauce, and the noodles were overcooked and lost their texture. Need so much improvements!

Beef Tripe Sauce Mixed Rice Noodles $13

Just opened end of April. Currently running a soft opening special of 20% meal Staff was friendly and very helpful. I think she knew we were trying to figure out what everything was on our phones. She said since they just opened there aren't many pictures online yet so she could help recommend things. Mala spicy beef brisket rice noodles $12 three pepper symbol. We had two of this order. The spice level was inconsistent. One was maybe level 2/5 spicy. We added more chili oil to it. The other was 4/5 spicy. You can tell the difference by how red the broth was. The star of the show for us were the sauce mixed noodles. We got the beef shank $13 and beef tripe $13. The sauce is a garlic sauce that isn't too over powering or salty. We said we would definitely come back for this. Good price and portion sizes. Left full and satisfied. The size of the bowl compared to the food for the mixed noodles made it seem little but it was a good amount. Oh and they have a cat robot to bring some of the dishes!!

Good price with a good selection of broth and noodles, the mala spicy soup is kinda bland but I would recommend the Thai style spicy soup, the basic noodles type is the rice noodles but they got ramen as well.

I ordered the Mala Spicy Chicken Noodles and the Brown Sugar Rice Cakes. The server warned me that the broth was very spicy so I opted for the milder version. Despite requesting a milder version, the broth was still too spicy for me. Our server was very accommodating and brought a side of plain bone broth to help. Also note that the noodles were quite soft, making them difficult to eat with the chopsticks.

It was a great experience! My husband ordered Thai and I did Cabbage base. It was very tasty and we will definitely be back!

The rice noodles are so delicious, especially the sides of choice. I have to mention the complimentary fried buns, which are a very thoughtful gesture.

This is your classic rice noodle soup restaurant, located inside Chinatown. The menu can be a bit confusing, but the basis of this place is that they offer several soup bases with different meat options. There is also the option for add ons such as marinated eggs, mushrooms or more meat. I ended up choosing the marinated egg with pickled cabbage soup base, and was very impressed with the soup, although slightly disappointed that the marinated egg was overcooked. I think if the egg had been soft serve, it would have been the perfect rice noodle dish! Service was great and we got our food in record time. There is also the option of karaoke here, and would be a great spot to host a large gathering!

On this cold almost summer day, Nan Zhou was hustling and bustling. Separate parties at the same round table and clients coming in and out of the restaurant facade. Warm lighting and active banter. I received my bowl of beef noodle soup was pretty satisfied. Beef was tender with flavorful bites of fattiness. Somehow, the meat tastes beefier than beef. The cilantro had potent herbaceous flavor with some spinach(?) and mustard greens. Noodles were pleasantly chewy w variation in texture. Lowkey, everything else was alright. I like to be nice so I'll say no more. Cucumbers were fine

This place was packed, which is always a good sign, and even with that the staff stayed super prompt and professional. The house special was my favorite. I got it with the knife-cut noodles and it was perfect with the broth. The noodles had that slightly uneven, chewy texture that really holds onto the soup. I never thought I'd be the type to talk about "mouthfeel" but here we are. The broth itself was rich and savory with a deep beef flavor, a little bit of oil on top that adds body without feeling too heavy. It's that classic, comforting Chinese beef noodle soup done really well. I added a braised egg, which had great flavor soaked into it, though it was served cold, which threw me off a bit. The mapo tofu with noodles was also really solid. It had that signature spicy, numbing kick from the Sichuan peppercorns, balanced with a savory, slightly salty sauce. The tofu was soft and silky, and mixing it with the noodles made it extra satisfying. It's got some heat but not overwhelming, just enough to keep you going back for another bite. The shrimp stir fry was lighter but still flavorful. The shrimp were cooked well, tender with a slight snap, and the sauce leaned more on the savory side with a mild sweetness. It felt like a nice balance alongside the heavier noodle dishes. Couple practical things: it's cash only, but there's an ATM right by the seating area which makes it easy. And the portions are generous for the price, so it feels like a really good deal. Overall, super satisfying spot. Busy, a little chaotic, but the food absolutely delivers. Definitely a go-to if you're craving hand-pulled noodles.

ATMOSPHERE: Intimate spot with a small loft, soft music and big windows for people watching. Takeout and deliveries seemed to be the majority of the business. RESERVATIONS: Not needed on this particular Monday night. PARKING: Street or garage. MENU: Sichuan & Taiwanese dishes. No dim sum. BEVERAGE: Lychee Martini Perfectly chilled and balanced, complete with a whole lychee garnish. FOOD: Dan Dan Noodles We got it plain but proteins were available. Thicker noodles coated in a thick peanut-flavored sauce with a little kick of heat. Very good but I'd definitely add either chicken or tofu to break up the carbs. Dry Pot Dish Served in a steel wok, we opted for chicken which was super tender. Very flavorful dish but it wasn't presented sizzling as the menu stated. Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup If you're a ramen fan and want something different, I think you'll love this as much as I did. A generous amount of thick noodles (available hand-ripped flat noodles are a $1 option), chunky slices of tender and fatty beef swimming in a savory and slightly sour dark-hued broth. Forgot to nix the cilantro but it wasn't overly loaded. Total yum. SERVICE: Greeting was immediate and friendly. Male server was knowledgeable but there was no follow up. OVERALL: A very enjoyable alternative to traditional Asian cuisine.
