Unfortunately, Yelp steered me wrong because the food here is BAD. I cannot figure out how it has such high ratings. I can say this is the worst Asian food place I've ever been to. I regrettably went on Valentines with my boyfriend after the Barnes. My food was so bad that my mood was negatively impacted (seriously). Stay away from any of the soups/ramens, the broth is exactly the same flavorless base for every soup. I'd stick with appetizers. I got the worst thing I've ever ordered at a restaurant here: Tom Kha Seafood Soup, it was supposed to be spicy but it was just sweet with no flavor at all. Nothing like any other Asian spicy seafood soups I've had before, lacking any normal amount of seafood (hardly any), and weird uncooked veggies, like huge sliced raw tomato bits. I ate the small amount of seafood out of it and left the rest. It was hardly edible. The scallion pancakes were also the most underwhelming I've ever had. I usually fight for the last piece but me and my boyfriend left half of it uneaten. No flavor or crisp. Seemed frozen and reheated, not fresh. The soup dumplings were the only good thing we ordered and they were just fine, nothing amazing. Additionally, there was a very small amount of them to our order. The Vietnamese beef soup was ok but very below average, nothing good that I'd recommend ordering, same bland broth. I really wanted to like this place and I usually never give out one star reviews, but it was truly bad and the ratings on it are clearly inflated and not reflective of its food quality. Small amounts of bad food for a price you could get much better things elsewhere. I'd rather have gone to Wawa than gone here (and I did after because I was still hungry). read more

This place is full!! Dining room hopping. Small and seemingly a lot of locals. Very helpful friendly staff. 4 wings $7.55. I got 4 flats. Tasty flavor but I think I should've read fine print. General Tso shrimp was solid! Flavorful and semi spicy. Just a note for you to notice it is spicy but nothing hot or overwhelming. The ramen I was shocked it did not have flavor. I drank the broth just outright but nothing flavorful. Weird, right? I give a 3.5 averaged 4 cause service. Would I return? Stopped in for dinner for some dim sum. Relaxed spot with a nice ambiance and quick staff. Ordered seaweed salad, pork dumplings, shrimp shumai, and soup dumplings. Seaweed salad was tasty and fine size to share for two people as an appetizer. Just the right amount of pickled flavor. Pork dumplings and shrimp shumai were pretty straightforward. Just went for a lovely early dinner. Service was great, our waitress was really attentive and kind. The vibe was nice too, they have a really pretty mural on the wall and wasn't too busy. I can only speak to the delivery order I received. While the food was very tasty, the portion sizes are tiny for the price. I paid $15.95 for that tiny portion of short ribs and $9.95 for four dumplings. Definitely not worth $35 for delivery! read more

The food is simply amazing. Every dish is flavorful and comes in generous yet maneagable portions, especially for a dim sum place. I never leave hungry or unsatisfied or feeling like I overspent on a subpar meal. The dim sum dishes are the highlight (for me). Every dumpling from here is worth it. I'd list my favorite but I'd just end up listing the entire dumpling list. My favorite part is that you know all the dumplings are hand made because you can watch them stuff them in the restaurant. This is a small place near the Barnes Foundation. We went in for lunch and found it to be very charming with terrific service. The better news is the food was excellent. We tried 9 Dim Sum plates and everyone enjoyed them all. My favorite was the watercress dumpling and the red chili oil dumplings. Their steamed buns were also delicious. I think this place is my GO TO for dim sum restaurants but not even for the dim sum itself LOL! If you go, you HAVE TO GET the taiwanese braised pork belly over rice. Like the pictures I took speaks VOLUMES. It's so good and it's so low key you wouldn't even expect it. Whenever I go it's always empty so I get my food pretty quickly (no complaints at all). I asked the friendly staff at the counter if I could place a to-go order and wait for it, and they let me know it would be ~10 minutes. Incredible! A few notes: + This spot is BYOB. I can't wait to come with a group and a bottle of wine and order the whole menu. + For a place with "dim sum" in the name, the dim sum menu itself is a little small. What they do offer packs a punch and will fulfill your craving with gusto. + Do NOT skip the chicken chow fun! I got pork ramen from here once before which was decent but my takeout lunch order today really impressed me. I placed the order through Uber eats for the Dan Dan noodles and the lunch special spicy garlic sauce eggplant with hot and sour soup as my side. It was ready for pickup in less than 15 minutes, service was fast and easy. The eggplant was super flavorful, not too saucy, and they gave enough rice which I feel like some places don't always do. Dan Dan noodles were spicy and delicious but I just kept reaching for the eggplant, definitely the star of the show for me. Hot and sour soup was more sour than hot so maybe request extra spiciness if that is what you prefer, but the way they made it was perfect for my taste. Parking can be tough in that area so if you can order delivery, that would be the less stressful option. The establishment is a store front space. You enter at the register where they lead you to the sitting/eating area towards the back or order to go. The menu has all the popular dim sum dishes (shrimp dumplings, sticky rice, chicken wings, pork bao, and moree). I've tried the majority of items and they were really good. The reason I chose dim sum and noodles over the other places was the dim sum combo plate, which included 8 pre-selected dumplings: 2 Shrimp Dumpling, 2 Sui Mai, 2 Shanghai Juice Bun, 1 Veggie Dumpling and 1 Char Sui Bao. Their menu is a bit confusing, specifically their pick two get one free promotion, since I thought this meant there was one set price but that is not the case. They are sweet but not super sweet, and they still taste like an appetizer rather than a dessert. My ramen (garlic spare rib) was filling and very flavorful. My husband got the pork belly ramen and gave me a some of his to try. The pork belly was phenomenal, and if I return I will make sure to get it next time. The pork is juicy and melts in the mouth. I would call this place a minimal Dim Sum restaurant that pleasantly served my Dim Sum craving. Please do not expect a full Dim Sum experience that foods come in steaming carts with noisy ambience. The Dan Dan noodles were delicious too and I was told it is similar kind of chili sauce. I'm totally hooked with their chili sauce for some reasons lol. The other steamed foods were great too. The soup dumplings were great and gave a warm feeling after having them. Would have been nice if they had sliced gingers. The watercress dumplings were something I would recommend too as they tasted very unique and full with veggies and pork. Everything we ordered I could order them all again next time.
