I love the food here!! The only bad thing is that one of the waitresses is so rude. I asked for hot sauce and she got mad because she had to walk a few steps to go get it. My boyfriend and I also went and my boyfriend didn't like the soup and she was so upset speaking in Chinese to another waitress. She is a chubby Asian lady. Other than that i would have given it a 5 star but the rude girl needs to either change the attitude or find another job. read more

So, I went here 2 weeks ago thinking it would be just as awesome as the Love Sushi in Moorpark. Wrong. I ordered what I usually order at the Love Sushi in Moorpark. I love raw fish. And to me, texture is everything. My salmon rolls still had little spots with scales on them. And my other rolls tasted as if they just ran the fish under some cold water before serving it. It was gooey and watery and I felt like throwing up afterwards. I like my raw fish texture to be a little firm. Not juicy and slimey. YUCK. I will never return here again. Very interesting experience. After my husband and I ordered a few rolls, we spotted a gigantic cock roach scurrying near our table. We called the waitress over and she had someone from the kitchen come out. The guy from the kitchen came out, stepped on it and then picked it up and took it back into the kitchen. We only like a few things on their menu and these are done better than anywhere else, salmon skin salad, sashimi salad, salmon collar and whitefish crunch roll. Everything else we have had here is fairly average so when we want a cheap sushi fix we come for the items above. The music is always different and sometimes irritating. Took my gf here for her first sushi experience and we were both extremely impressed. Our waitress was probably the friendliest I've ever had. The food itself was delicious, we tried their crunchy tempura rolls and their house special (can't remember the name) rolls, as well as getting a chicken dinner. It was all delicious. I love sushi because it's healthy enough and rarely bad. Really, it's hard to find a flat out bad sushi place. On the other hand, they rarely stand out as amazing. Love Sushi does though. I've been going to the Love Sushi in Moorpark for years and I love everything about that place. But since I moved to Simi and they opened a Love Sushi here it's just more convenient. The sushi is fine in comparison but the sushi makers and workers aren't super friendly. They also don't give a bonus roll like Moorpark and 2 out of the 4 times I've gone they've forgot to give out the apples and peanut butter dessert. The last time I went I wasn't wasn't in the mood to ask for it and just too disappointed with the whole experience I didn't' even mention it. There's so many sushi places in Simi I think I'm going to start trying others now. read more

I have been coming to this place for the past two months every tuesday, and unfortunately their service has been getting worse everytime we go. My co workers and I went during lunch time we waited for the waitress to take our orders but she was completely ignoring us so I wrote down everyones orders and gave them to the chef, not only that but we had to get our own chopsticks from another table because they didnt give us enough chopsticks. At the the end the tip was included in my bill since we were a big party eventho we all decided to pay separately which would have been fine but the service was horrible how is it possible to pay 4 dollars when i took my own order?? Had sushi there for the first time and it was ok. I had the sexy lady roll, I did like that one it had a unique flavor with a strip of mango on top. Also tried the 911 role, it was ok. Prices are a little high for this place. I've had much better sushi at a better price. So in the end, not bad but not great and a little pricey. read more

I've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed! The fish is always fresh, the food is delicious and the servers and sushi shefs are very nice. My favorite roll is the Magic MT Roll nothing tops it! Best sushi place in town in my opinion. If you're lucky enough to get Pam as your server she is absolutely lovely. Arrived and promptly seated, waitress took drink orders, so far so good. In a few minutes, she took dinner orders for the 4 of us. Within 10 minutes, ONE of our 4 dinners was delivered, and we got to watch it being eaten. 20 minutes later, I asked where the other 3 dinners were. The waitress was shocked. She left for a moment, then came back and blamed it on "the computer". Yeah. Right. Sure. When all else fails, blame it on the computer.10 minutes AFTER that, we had our food. This restaurant gets good marks for food quality and quantity, but less than zero for service. We have been a customer of this restaurant for years, but have a hard time justifying a return visit. The sushi is not the quality I expect n the service as usual is sub par, all in all a waste of money

So, my experience compelled me to write my first Yelp review. I stopped in for a quick roll and a beer 20 minutes before closing. My server quickly brought me my spicy tuna roll and beer; HOWEVER, as I prepare to take my first bite, I notice the older gentlemen preparing sushi behind the sushi bar was picking his nose. I knew the other guy prepared mine, but what a gross thing to witness. I keep my eyes on the guy and watched him go back for seconds. This time we made eye contact AND he kept picking. I actually watched him roll it between his fingers and flick it on the floor! About 30 seconds later, I witness him sneeze 3 times and immediately go back to packing the fish up for the evening without washing his hands. The sushi was average at best and this booger picker sealed the deal for me to never come back. read more

I've loved Sushi for a long time. I can honestly say that I've ordered up to $40 in sushi a few times at other restaurants and never have I ever left one piece on the plate or taken any home in the box. That wasn't the case with Love Sushi in Simi Valley. My boyfriend and I had a sushi lunch there once and ordered a couple rolls and were saddened by the outcome. They douse the food in this horrible ginger sauce and, come on, that stuff is an acquired taste, you can't just go pouring it on everything that you see! Also, their sushi is quite expensive. It is EXACTLY like knock off sushi; sloppy, gross, and it took forever to get the food to us. There were three chefs standing behind the bar and only one was actually working. We couldn't even finish the rolls we ordered. We took them home in a box and I didn't even eat the leftovers later. Ugh. I guess that nothing can compare to Suki Sushi (also in Simi Valley) and their 30% off sushi rolls nights, their incredible service, and of course their top quality, fresh rolls. Mmmm. read more
