I was excited to see Lovebird opening up on the way home. I stopped by tonight and bought a bucket, an order of popcorn chicken and 2 sides. I was shocked at just how bad everything was. The popcorn chicken was tasteless and chewy. The bucket of chicken was a whole bird but it must have a small one. Dry and over cooked. The batter was plain and unexciting. It is unbelievable that you can get a better meal at KFC for half the cost. If you are interested, go now while it's still open. The brussels grain bowl with fried chicken was unsatisfying because of how small it was. There wasn't enough quinoa, beets, or brussels sprouts. That said, the few brussels were good and well charred, and the fried chicken was crispy until the last bite. For the price, it was just a bit too unsatisfying. read more

Just tried Lovebird for the first time today after anxiously waiting it's opening. We called in our order and picked it up, online there's a delivery option, which we were planning on using, but they're so knew that they aren't providing that service yet. When we called in they informed us it would be about 10-15 minutes, which I thought was very fast in comparison to other pick up times in the area. We arrived and the interior was very clean and modern, the food options were great, we have them Lovebird and Baja sandwich with a side of fries and really enjoyed both. You have the option of getting fried chicken, grilled miso garlic chick, or miso garlic tofu. The fried chicken wasn't too heavily breaded so it definitely felt heavier, all the chicken is organic and non GMO, they have a variety of nice beverage option and sauces as well. I was really pleased with the entire experience, I think the only downfall is that there limited seating so it's really more of a quick grab and go rather than sit and eat. But it would be perfect to take to go for a picnic or a quick lunch during work etc. I'll definitely be going back and wish that they had opened sooner because it's a delicious and quick bite! read more

Great little place to pop in and grab Delish chicken sandwich. The love bird is what I tried. Tasty with a super soft bun which was awesome. The different sauces are the clincher. Love their chicken but HOLY HECK what do they do back there? Ordered pickup at 11:30, and even with a ridiculously long (1/2 hour) lead time they missed the mark. There was no one in the reatairant, and no orders ahead of mine. It's just not worth it. I've had no better luck eating in. Great chicken, awful experience. Probably won't be back. read more

I have mixed feelings about giving a local business a negative review but since this restaurant is new, there's time to improve. First, I liked the clean and simple decor. However, there is no table seating. With a name like Lovebird, I imagined eating in, cafe style. It's a take out joint with some counter seating. The menu is limited. We almost left without ordering but I thought I'd get popcorn chicken for the road. The popcorn chicken is really a bowl of chicken tenders - largish pieces, light un-crispy breading, and dry chicken on the inside. Someone posted a picture, so take a look. I'd bet these were frozen a few minutes prior and warmed up in a microwave. Yes, DRY flavorless unseasoned chicken and since it's a chicken restaurant, the chicken should be the one item that's good. If you're looking for popcorn chicken, go to the Whole Foods hot bar. YUM! Sorry Lovebird, I don't love you. read more

One word sums up our takeout from Love Bird - horrible! The seasonal salad with grilled chicken contained small, hard, and dry chicken pieces. For a restaurant that specializes in chicken, this is a huge disappointment. The salad itself was mediocre. (Mostly spring mix, and a minimal amount of tiny hard pieces of asparagus and beets.) The scallion vinaigrette dressing was the only good part of the salad. A side order of French fries were over cooked and almost burnt. Yuck! Won't be going back again. read more

Just had second visit. First time there food was excellent as was service. Yesterday was a different story. The Lovebird sandwich was very good but the Buffalo Blue had no blue cheese on it and the fries were soggy. Worse, however, was the service. Online order was to be ready in half an hour. I got there a few minutes early and called as directed for curbside delivery. They said just a few minutes. I had received a text about 20 minutes before that that the order was being prepared. After waited 1w minutes past the scheduled time I called and was told not ready yet. I asked that they check and tell me how much longer. Finally someone came out and said not more that another 5 minutes. All in all, 20 minutes late! 5p minutes from order time...and they were rude. Would not have minded 50 minutes for pick up if they said so at the outset! But waiting there for all that time and then have them be rude is ridiculous. read more
