Combo (half chicken sandwich & quiche)

What a cute shop/restaurant! The restaurant is located at the back of the shop and the whole set up is really fun. The menu is a bit limited but the quality of what we got leads me to believe that they do their few items very, very well. What we got: Combo - half a sandwich (chicken sandwich) & quiche - 5* all around. It was delicious and filling. The quiche crust was homemade and phenomenal.

Hank with his delicious hand pies!

Lovejoy's on Main is a great place to visit. I took my Oregon relatives to grab desserts on the way to the airport. Our party of 7 tried and shared 7 different treats. Among the decadent desserts sampled were carrot cake, German chocolate cake, brownie sundae, and chess pie. ALL were yummy! This place can't be beat. The owner, Hank, talented dessert- maker and a legendary good guy in Whitesboro! He alone is worth the visit! Addison, grandson and soda jerk, has an amazing personality and handled our orders with ease! Everything about this place is great!

Spinach strawberries salad chicken salad on croissant and of course carrot cake. I definitely will be back.

The food was awesome, fast and great service, during the Peanut festival at that. The servers and cooks did a fantastic job on serving the huge amount of people. You all worked like a well oiled machine.

Tomato Bisque, GF chicken sandwich, potato chips with a pickle wedge.

Whitesboro, Texas is hometown Americana! Lovejoy's from the outside looks like a gift shop, but in the back it opens up to a wonderful warm inviting cafe with an old fashioned soda fountain. I happened to go during Thanksgiving weekend so the menu was limited but the food was great. I had a tomato bisque with chicken salad. I was informed that they had gluten free rolls so I chose a sandwich which was overflowing with chicken salad. Everything was delicious including the peach mango iced tea. My waitress was absolutely awesome but I confess I am partial because I gave birth to her, but I watched her with other customers as she helped them with choices and asked how they enjoyed their food. She makes her Mama proud. All the staff was very friendly and after my lunch my daughter pointed out a few things in the gift shop that my granddaughter's had their eyes on, so I did a little shopping as well. I was surprised how busy they were on the Saturday after Thanksgiving but my daughter explained they had a shop local day going on. Each of the stores on Main Street had a small gift for everyone who walked in their store as well as sales going on. Downtown Whitesboro was hopping with shoppers. I love the small towns in Texas they remind me of a time back in the 50's when life was simple and I love that they continue to keep the atmosphere to attract people.

Fell in love with the beautiful mugs

He makes sure that the customers are well taken care of by the wait staff( who are all friendly and knowledgeable as well as hard working). The decor is attractive and spotlessly maintained. The kitchen staff gets the food out very promptly and the bacon, eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy were all cooked and seasoned to perfection! Everything was so good that I drove through a flooding deluge of rain and lightning to eat there the next morning! Chris remembered me(after only one visit) and greeted me by name! I suspect they are cleaning their pots regularly so the burnt taste doesn't carry over like in some of the large chain breakfast restaraunts. Breakfast was good, I had the Mexican omelette and the salsa was really good! I forgot to take a picture before I cut it all up, but it was a good size and I got full before I could make it to my hashbrowns and pancake

First time here, so I'll definitely update when/if I can return…read more First impression: uber cute decor, I love all the plants, there are books, children's books, and the bathroom is serene. Free water and bottomless coffee refill in the corner. They sell balms, stickers, clothes, and more. Prices are a little steep, especially with a farmers market across the street, but options are always a good thing. I ordered a large latte. The menu states flavors are an extra .50 in the menu book, but I was charged $1. (Just an observation that the prices may not be correct on yeh menu book) They ask for tips, but I wouldn't. They don't clean up, you take your cups and plates to the trash area. We ordered the tacos. It did take 25 minutes to get it and it was not busy. Our coffee was ready pretty quickly. I presume (wild guess) that the food fixer dude is not good with multi tasking, or his desire to serve is lacking. Anyways, the serving size was good! The tacos were warm on top, but the eggs were cold on bottom. Plus they really had no flavor. My latte was warm at best and the coffee was not strong? I would suggest switching brands. The hot cocoa my husband got WAS delicious and stayed hot in the travel cup... so maybe that would help in the latte arena. The coffee server was by far very friendly. Thank you for Truly not being ugly, just an honest review. If I come back will try a coffee and a food item to see if it improved.

The chicken salad is really good. The best thing is their lavender lemonade. So delicious. I have also had lavender vanilla ice cream with lavender honey on it. It sounds too sweet, but oh my!
