The front of my strapless dress was lopsided becoz she had removed boning to create room around the back zipper, so much so that she offered putting pads to fill the giant gap between my chest and the front. She has no idea how to do French bustles and instead suggests inverted-cones by pulling the dress up and pinning on the outside. Unprofessional and irresponsible. Not to mention how she runs a sweat shop in her garage, working the seamstress on weekends and odd hours.

The studio itself is gorgeous: stylish, chic, and perhaps one of the nicest Alts locations I've been to. Plus, there's plenty of parking right on Putnam Avenue, which makes it super convenient. I recently brought in more than 10 garments (dresses, sweaters, skirts and jeans). Mix of complex and simple alterations. It's incredible that they are able to handle everything with ease. I also needed some outfits rushed for an event and the team was able to accommodate my short window. Within just 3 days I got an email that everything was ready for pickup--and the tailoring was flawless! I needed these pants for a friend's wedding so I called in advance to make sure the turnaround time was reasonable. I was assured it would be no problem if I came in that day. Upon arriving, Mary and Patty were quick to take me back, do measurements, hand me a ticket, and send me on my way. The pants were ready with a very reasonable return time (even with prom season happening and they were clearly very busy).
