I go regularly & see the same nail tech. This past week I got my most favorite mani ever! (See pics). I also appreciate the professional service. The shop is local & easily accessible with the 294 & 165 Metro bus lines.

I came here for some last minute nails, simple medium black gel x nails. So I wasn't really expecting much but I didn't think I would leave with RING OF FIRE on my nails. I don't normally come to nail salons and this is why. The lady who greets you is very nice so I felt comfortable at first but throughout the service the lady who was doing my nails felt rushed and careless. After I was finally able to get the nails off and go to my friend who does nails for her personal insight as I've noticed how deeply imbedded the nail was to my normal nail (she's amazing might I add, I usually get my nails done by her). She pointed out that the dents in my nail bed are in fact called 'ring of fire' and it happens when the person drilling/filing your nails applies way too much pressure since you're supposed to be very gentle due to how delicate nail beds are. This experience only solidified my fear of nail salons and I will never be coming back again. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!

There was about 20 minutes before closing, but they still rushed me and made me feel guilty for coming in at the last minute to get my eyebrows done. Regardless, I appreciated the accommodation. This review is solely based on my eyebrows. The lady chopped them off. See for yourself. She shortened it on both sides. Waxing the middle of my forehead and taking too much off the beginning of my brow and the end of the brow as well. I've never had such a botched experience in my life. I specifically asked for "just to clean up" and to maintain as much as my eyebrow as possible. I don't have thin eyebrows. And I've never had this experience. Would highly recommend avoiding this place if you want to get your eyebrows done and also they are cash only. They don't accept credit cards, Apple Pay or any electronic pay. I guess their customers are OK with this because they have been doing it for over 30 years, she said. I won't be going back.

Everyone at this salon is so nice and welcoming! Lin did a really great job on this manicure, she took her time and made sure I was happy with the final result. Would definitely recommend any of the nail techs! And honestly the price is very reasonable.

I LOVE this!!!!!!! My first time here at Lovely nails. I got gel x for $70. They came out really great and they look BEAUTIFUL. The environment is very welcoming and great. Everyone is so sweet. Michael did my nails and he is so nice, helpful and did a great job with my nails. Helen was also very sweet and welcoming. This is a AMAZING place. Thank you everyone!!!

Ugh it breaks my heart to leave this review because I was so loyal to a lady here named tweety but damn have I been played and done dirty. I paid 60 for a manicure and pedicure with regular polish. Within two hours of coming home from the salon I started cooking and I noticed my nails were chipping. I'm pretty sure by the end of today all my nails will be mostly peeled and chipped. I tried texting her to see what could be done and she told me I'd have to come in and pay for a new set. Ladies I traveled from Santa Clarita to North Hollywood for her. This is completely wrong. The salon should've offered a refund or a free set of fresh nails. I could've easily painted my nails if I would've known

Been coming here for almost 20 years. I live nearby and I first got my nails done here for a high school dance! I have my favorite person for when I get acrylics and he does an amazing job, but I like everyone for everything else. They close at 8pm which is later than most nail salons, so that's another plus! The only downside is that it's still cash only. I would hope they would have upgraded to a credit card system by now, otherwise I'd give them 5 stars!

I came here for a gel manicure and within 2 days 4 nails had just come off. I called and they had the same tech redo it for free but I waited for 1 hour to get the corrections. Then as soon as I got home two different nails gel polish just lifted off. I've gotten gel manicures for a long time and they've never just lifted off, its clearly not cured or put on correctly. Point is now I don't want do back there and only a week later I have to pay for a manicure again.

payed $50 for a set that I could've done myself ... i come to these places for the experience . I pay them for their time yet the entire time, the man doing, the nails was rushing being very sloppy and aggressive with my nails . Filing my nails extremely hard . I don't really care that I'm a teenager. I still want my nails to look nice and that's exactly what I paid him for. none of the nails are the same size or shape. He painted really badly. He didn't let one single coat fully dry. Don't come here unless you want them to rush to do your nails and if you want a shitty ass experience plus shit nails

been coming here since around 2021, the ladies working here are all really sweet & accommodating. my nails always last me for a really long time i always recommend this place to people who compliment my nails

We called to ask for prices and availability. They said we could walk in. We were actually late to the time we said we would arrive and they still accommodated us. However the price was entirely different at checkout. I was charged 5 more than original. My sisters total was crazy, the nail tech broke her nail and then charged her for the nail repair. It was a little ridiculous. My manicure was uneven and not filed down so the edges were raw. Honestly if not for the broken nail fiasco, the place is ok for the price. It's just a little silly to pay $45 for a very standard regular gel manicure. read more

Yes, the prices are very affordable but some of us care about sanitary conditions and customer service. Sanitary Conditions: They do pedicure in a small tub without putting a bag; they do not wear gloves; they use the same tools on every customer; the store has flies all over and THEY NEVER TAKE YOU ON TIME. You make an appointment for 4:00pm, you're best bet, they'll take you at 4:40pm the earliest. Customer Service: Some of the ladies might be nice but the manager (DIANE) is very very rude and refuses to do service to certain customers even if those customers have always been nice to her and have always generously tipped her. So, if you have problems in this salon, please note that the manager who also happens to do nail service is awful. read more

I came in on march 16 . For a couple of things and I even came in with my mother In law . I got a eyebrows and my mustache waxed for the first time. The lady who was doing it had no patients and seemed in a hurry when she was done I noticed some baby hairs on my eyebrows. I also noticed later when they start working on my nails that she cut my upper lip. The wax to use is not clean because it's making my whole eyebrows break out. When they started doing my nails it was another lady and she cut my fingers on the side with the machine and then she act like she didn't notice. I ended up paying $50 for a shitty job I'm never going back there again the first time was a nice experience with a lovely lady that sings she's not working there no more if there's a owner just please they should be around because they need to take better care of their customers read more

Terrible service when Michael is away. The women in this salon refused me at 6:45pm and they don't close until 8pm weekday. Said it was slow so they were closing early. Better Business Bureau here I come. You want quality people, and good tippers, but refuse to GIVE good service. I just want a good consistent nail salon that care about regular clients. This was unacceptable! read more

This place...if I could give no stars, I would. I got a gel manicure. I had to come in the very next day to get two nails that chipped fixed. Two days later I wake up and my nails are discolored. After waiting 45 minutes, I speak with the girl and they say I made them that way. That I dyed my hair. (I haven't died my hair since I was 20...I'm 31) then said I used some chemical of some sort but it was definitely something I did. Funny because I haven't done anything different than I do normally and I never have had any problem with any gel manicure I've gotten at other places. Maybe it's the cheap downtown la gel polish they by or the fact they throw acetone in the bottle when the polish gets low. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Micheal recreated the picture I showed him which is an ocean inspired look and made it exactly how I wanted them but even better. In love with this ombré set. This place reminds me of the salon I went to in the 90's....cash only....no massage chairs. I haven't been this uncomfortable since that salon. I felt like a pretzel with hands in one direction and legs pulled in the other direction. The chair was so lightweight that I easily would slide during pedi. My legs felt tense trying to stay in place. My 3 year old daughter can give me a longer massage than the half assed rub on my hands & legs....no more than 20 seconds. I tipped $6 on a $22 mani/pedi that wasn't worth it. I normally go to Nina @ Fashion Nail Spa (she's off today). It's $4 more, but comfortably worth it. I look more forward to the massage than anything. Will not return... read more

Ive been coming here for many years.. I always get an appointment because walk-ins can be quite bit of a wait, they get super busy sometimes depending on the day of the week.. Also they have remodeled the place so it looks a lot nicer and cleaner. Diane always does my nails, shes a very sweet lady and she always helps me if im unsure of a color i want to get and recommends some to choose from.. Overall, i like this place and the prices are so affordable you can't go wrong.. Getting a gel manicure here is so affordable. i get my hands and toes nail polished with gel hands only cost the same price of just doing my hands some other salons. Best prices and not so bad of a job. I will continue to recommend this place to a friend and have already I will still continue with getting my nails done here read more

I've been coming since I was 17 yrs old and I won't go anywhere else. My mom goes here, her friends go here and my sister comes here. Everyone is great but Lee & Tammy are AMAZING! I make appointments whenever I'm going to come in but the wait isn't bad at all when you don't have an appointment. They always make sure you don't wait long. They're hours are good too. I live pinterest so that's where I get my ideas for my nails from and everytime I bring Lee an idea/picture of what I want she's able to do it. Sometimes she gives me suggestions and makes my ideas better! My mother is blind and they're ALWAYS so sweet with here and help her to and from her chairs. It means alot that I can go in with her and know she's in good hands. I will take me moving away for me to stop going here :) read more

First time here, needed a full set and pedi. The ladies were nothing but nice and genuinely caring. However, I have little cuts all over my finger tips that hurt so bad today and I even left w a bloody index finger. :( the lady who did my pedi was great! So sweet and did a great job EXCEPT I do not recommend adding any kind design when they ask you. I took it off myself at home b4 ii could take a pic but it looked like a black glob on my toe. Other than the painful acrylics id go back lol. read more

I hate that the quality has gone down. I got my nails done 7/29. The girl who did it seemed new and kept leaving the black part streaky. No big deal. But as the days have gone by, my nails have turned this ugly shade. Today is 8/10. I have no idea what they used, but I have never seen anything like this. Had the worst gel manicure experience. To start off the last I got cut me about 4 times while cutting my cuticles, then failed to let me know that I would get charged extra to get a different color of nail polish on my ring finger (which I've never paid extra for anywhere I've gone) I though it was odd but I didn't mind. I was somewhat happy with them until the next day I noticed some cracks and scabs around my nails from all the times she cut me. Very disappointed, would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

The place has been remodeled, but their attitude still same rudish. Quality of work not worth the price. This has been long time coming review. I had a real bad infection from a pedicure here back in December, have been coming for a while and I have never felt it was good. It was just convenient. I would definitely spend my money somewhere else, with cleaner nicer people. read more

My nails were totally half-assed. I think the only thing that was done correctly was the nail shape,other than that the acrylic was applied not only on my nails but all over my cuticles. & the nail polish looks like a 5 year old could have done it. Its thick,unevenly coated & cracked. I asked the lady to fix it & after her second attempt I just gave up & dealt with the artless job. I'm very passive aggressive & I hate to say this but this is the worse nail job I've ever had. Still,i tipped.I really hope this lady was just having a bad day because I would really like to go back & give this place another try someday. read more

This was the 2nd gel manicure I've had. The first time was almost 3 weeks ago and the woman who did it was quick and neat and I thought it was amazing. I generally don't get manicures because I always ruin the polish within the first day from house cleaning, etc. and loved the idea that the polish was dry and almost impossible to damage, but I guess it really makes a huge difference who does it. This time the experience was not the same. It took a really long time and my nails were filed strangely and it was not neat. I came home and spent about 30 minutes reshaping my nails and trying to make them look acceptable. I will say that the price is quite a deal compared to some places. If I go back, I will make sure I ask for the other person. read more

This is my nail spot! Absolutely love the entire staff, they know what they are doing but they have NO problem with taking any direction from me. These gals and Michael are always very nice and accommodating :) It costs me 38$ for an acrylic-underneath-gel nail polish fill and spa pedicure. Can't beat that! read more

The last time prior to just getting my nails done on Friday was a year ago, so I was LLLOOONNGGG over due. My sister told me about this place and encouraged me to go, so glad I listened!!!! My nails are strong ,grow long & healthy so I don't need anything but some nail polish, problem with nail polish is, it chips off in 3 days... $20 gel mani is AMAZING!!! To think getting a gel mani for $27-32 was a deal. NOPE!!! The fact that I can do everything I need to and not worry about my nail polish chipping, is great. It's a very clean nail salon, everyone is friendly and its neatly tucked away in the corner. Only problem is parking :/ it can get a little cramp. I went at 2pm and had no problem was seated right away, was out and satisfied in less than an hour. I highly recommend going there :] read more

I was referred here by a friend for gel manicures and I am so glad I finally made it in. I called before walking in and luckily they were able to help my husband and I out on short notice! My husband's pedi was $18 and my gel mani with the extra glitter was $35. Not bad at all! Van did my set and she was really nice as soon as I sat down. She actually started conversation with me instead on awkwardly sitting in silence. I will definetely be back here in due time! read more

I decided to visit this nail salon after my cousin recommended it. She saw a picture of a nail design I had posted on Instagram. This nail salon was able to paint her nails exactly how it looked in the picture. I then walked in with a design I wanted and walked out a happy customer. I was in and out after 45 minutes even though they were so busy!! I will be back! read more

I came for a full acrylic set which has now lasted without any broken/ cracked nails for 3 weeks. Lily was very friendly and talked to me the entire time. Today I called earlier in the afternoon to schedule an appointment for a fill, I was told to come in at 3:15pm. After waiting for 40 minutes without anyone acknowledging me, I decided to leave and reschedule my appointment for the next week. I was extremely disappointed that I didn't get my nails done for the weekend, but I will give them another chance. read more

I went to this place to have a horrible set of acrylics done at another salon. I made an appointment in am and I got there 5 minutes late. I only had to wait 5 minutes even though they were super busy. Anie was my manicurist. She was very nice and did a beautiful job! The whole removal and manicure/gel set took less than 45. This girl knows what's she's doing for sure. The place is small in a small shopping center. I suggest come with time to look for parking. You can park in the parking spaces even though it says 20 minutes. I'm definitely coming back. read more

I went in and the nice technician started removing my gel, at the end of removing my gel she asked 'do you want me to cut your cuticles for you?' And I said 'if you don't mind that would be appreciated!' She cut my cuticles and I went to wash my hands and was ready to pay. However when I went to pay, the receptionist told me it would be $45, I asked to confirm the price because all I got was my gel removed and she told me because I agreed to having my cuticles cut, it was now considered a manicure and 'she did the service so I need to pay it.' To which I asked for clarification because she did not paint my nails, do a clear coat, soak my nails, or any of the other services that come with a manicure. She said I could get a polish if I wanted to and I considered it but then I asked again is there no way to pay a little more than the gel removal fee because yes she did cut my cuticles but it feels unfair that since they did not communicate that uncharge to me that I would be expected to pay for a service I simply did not get. She said I should have asked for the prices when she offered to cut my cuticles and I said that doesn't feel fair because I've gotten gel removed before where they just cut my cuticles without asking so why would I have assumed it would be a $35 add on to my $10 service. The receptionist then told me to leave and she would rather me not pay than argue with her. I explained I was not arguing and I do want to pay, $45 for a service I did not receive feels unfair but I would not be leaving without paying. I took a $20 out of my wallet and put it on the technicians table and left. I paid double what I would have paid for the service alone, I will not let someone think I'm trying to not pay service workers, she deserves to be paid, however, I am not okay with trying to be scammed out of $35 for a up-charge that was not communicated properly. I do not recommend this shady behavior in an establishment, sorry for the miscommunication but this could have been handled so much better than it was.

NOTE: The amount of hypocrisy in the messages they respond to reviews on here is incredible. They consistently use the terminology that they "value loyalty" - yet again, if you dare to cancel an appointment (respectfully, with communication), their way of handling, it will be to punish you. So no amount of polite "up speak" or other comments can make up for the fact that this is how they actually handle loyal customers. For some reason, the ownership, which is a partnership between Patti, and her male counterpart, believe that you've committed some horrible offense if you dare to reschedule your appointment. They're one of 1000 manicure salons in Los Angeles, and they happen to be right down the street from some major Studios, so how insane is it that they find it offensive that busy folk in the entertainment industry might need to occasionally reschedule their appointment??! I've been a loyal customer for over five months, having put up with some of the rudeness and entitlement, because there was one Manicurist, who always did a decent job. I even on one occasion them brought them expensive smoothies because I happen to be grabbing one for myself... But did it stop them from being rude when three months later I needed to reschedule an appointment?! No. In fact, they acted as if I wasn't a loyal customer, and as if I had done something atrocious, like missed an appointment, without bothering to request the appropriate change. My reason for cancellation? I had had a serious medical situation come up. I even offered to pay for my missed appointment, but all I got back was that I was no longer welcome to schedule with that particular Manicurist, because her time and schedule is very important. They also then told me the only way that I could book in a future appointment would be online- so I was being punished for having a medical emergency and having the audacity to actually try to reschedule a manicure appointment! I have all the texts to prove this, if annyone out there wishes proof of this. Additionally, they lied, and said that "due to my several cancellations" - when I literally had only had ONE cancellation, five months, previous, again to due to illness. I don't know if this cruel and vindictive behavior that does not value, loyalty and kindness is because the owners are just unkind human beings, or if they're just so overwhelmed with always being shortstaffed that they've decided the only way to handle their personal upset is to take it out on loyal customers. Doesn't matter. I immediately rescheduled with an outstanding manicure salon that just opened literally five minutes from them, and so far those two appointments have been outstanding. Bel-Air Nails. But really, as we all know, there's thousands of good nail salons in Los Angeles, this is definitely not one of them. Thank you. - Kathryn B.

After he was done with my pedicure Jamy, took me inside their room where they do waxing. I needed to wax my under arms, and eye brows. She did a great job; and for both services they charged me $58.00. Even though they are the business owners, I still tipped them well. Place was super clean, with cute decor here and there. Parking shared with other businesses, and one gender neutral restroom also very clean. She even gave me a $2.00 off for my waxing. My only critique is that the massage that Nick did on my legs/feet was too short. Didn't even last 3 minutes. I also like the pressure to be medium to medium hard. He hand strong hands, but didn't deliver. I will definitely visit this salon when I am in the area. Highly recommend to others. I had hard Gel on my nails from my old place. Not chips or cracks! I was asking for my nails to be cut all the way down and hard gel again. Ben was the tech, he used a dremel to grind off what was on my nails and to cut down the length. I first had to keep telling him to go shorter and shorter. He then used the nail file and it still wasn't getting them short enough and they were extremely crooked. I had to point out about 8 of the 10 nails one by one that need to be leveled out. He then did his thing painting them. I got no lotion, no cuticle cutting, no hand message. Just the Dremel, file, paint, light and oil. About 3 hrs later 1 nail chipped. I went back and Rose tried to corrected it. She removed everything off the nail again. Placed some type of liquid hardener, cure it, but did not smooth it out so after it was painted it looked rippled. By that night a 2nd nail cracked, by morning a 3rd nail chipped. I wasn't doing any house work or anything to cause it. By day day 3, I have 3 chipped and 1 cracked nail and that's not mentioning the one they corrected. $50 for Hard Gel and 2 Visit, tipping both visits. Gone! Update: 7 days later my nails are so messed up. I really wanted to possibly go back and give them one more chance but absolutely not!

An amazing family owned Nail Salon and Spa for over 20 years! They recently made renovations to their store and added in 5 new spa chairs! I brought my girlfriend here for her monthly acrylic manicure & pedicure! All the employees offer amazing customer service and its very friendly and family like. They all do a wonderful job! The Nails always last long, a month and a half( if the person is careful ). The new Spa Chairs look super comfortable and their pedicure features are amazingly satisfying. Jet water spray, massages, sugar salt scrub, callus removal, wax, and hot towels. This business does it all! I would highly recommend this shop to whoever wants their nails done professionally and with a comfortable environment. While waiting for my girlfriend to finish there was guava candy, water, seats, magazines, restroom, and a television that kept me entertained! The plaza the shop is located in also has a delicious taco shop, a liquor store, and a gas station across the street! read more

So i go to enjoy a day with my sister and get my nails done. A everything is going good so far my sister and me are talking and my nail person ws so sweet and nice. But on the other hand the women doing my sisters nails seemed to be annoyed that me and my sister were talking because she kept grabbing my sisters hand and saying "excuse me" like as if we were disturbing her. Overall my nails looks great as i walked out of the nail salon. But literally hours later my nail polish started to crack and come off. I don't do very much at work besides answer phones and call people. so there is no way anything i did at work could cause my nail polish to completely come off. Within only 3 Days!!!!!! I'm very uspet and me and my sister are never going to go back beacuse i don't pay for something that is is gonna come off and that im not going too be happy with. No one here was friendly or welcoming. When you're getting your nails done they don't acknowledge your presence and just boss you around. There is zero courtesy here. I don't appreciate this especially because I'm bringing them business paying for a service. I got a gel manicure and not only did the girl who was doing my nails give me attitude and rushed me to hurry up and pick, when I was looking for the color I wanted, she rushed through the entire process, dabbled some lotion on my arms and called it a massage. I am very unhappy with the customer service and will never recommend any of my friends to go here. There's plenty of other places to go. I was treated like some "dumb American" who they think they can talk about me being my back and think it's ok. Well, here's a review to hopefully keep others from the same terrible experience I had, hopefully they learn a lesson. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

Prepare to get attitude. I asked for a simple glitter on top of my gel and the girl said "that will be too hard. "I asked her, "what do you mean it will be too hard, do you mean that you're annoyed that you're doing it? Because I can do it myself. This is the color I'd like. " And then she gave me a dirty look, ignored me and rushed through the painting, and when I asked her to add a little bit more to a couple different nails that were uneven, she huffed about it and rolled her eyes. Very poor customer service. The employees here are rude, impatient and do not do a thorough job. My gel manicure was rushed and at the end she didn't wipe it off with alcohol so they felt rough and I had to finish the job when I got home. I had caked on gel to my skin bc the lady doing my nails was very rushed and didn't care to do a good job. She also cut my skin on multiple fingers bc she filed my skin and not my nails. LOVE LOVE LOVE these beautiful ombré nails done by the amazing nail artist Micheal. I have been to other nail salons to do ombré nails, but none of them made my nails look ombré because they lack the blending technique. I am so happy that Lovely Nails know how to do ombré nails. I like how my nails look naturally blended and has the ombré finish I am looking for. I can't wait to come back here! I am truly in love with the results. I have been going here for almost 10 years. My nails grow fast, but even with acrylic growing up to the middle of my nail it never peels or hair gets stuck under it. The gels stay shiny for almost a month. The best is Micheal and Lin. I get my eyebrows done there as well. I never come out of their unsatisfied. I have waited as long as needed to go there, and even drove far when I have moved away just to go there. The prices are great!! read more

I went to Lee at Lovely Nails in Burbank! She did an amazing job on my nails and I love them! The rhinestones are to die for! I told her to do whatever she thought was best and it paid off! Everyone there was very friendly and nice. Definitely recommend. Although, for a full set with rhinestones on one finger was $50 so it's a little pricier in my opinion. Still recommend though! And definitely ask for Lee! read more

They offered my fiancé and me water while we waited and genuinely seemed excited for our wedding. To top it all off, they didn't even charge me for the repair, which was such a thoughtful and generous gesture during such a special and busy time. Well, of all the pedicures I've had, my toe is now infected from this place. I now have to go to the doctor and get meds, possibly have it lanced and drained now. Although the staff is nice, I 100% don't recommend coming here. You'll just have to pay more for dr visits after.
