I love getting gel french tip, but after seeing too many documentaries on infections from unsanitary supplies, and since I do my own cuticles I pass on the manicure portion. I opt for just gel french tip minus the manicure and it's 15.00 here. If you get it with the manicure I was quoted 23.00 My nails are still looking good after 2 1/2 weeks. The only tip I would say is that you take any bright nail polish off before coming in. They don't do the best job of removing it...very rushed so I still had a few specks of bright pink on the sides. I have been coming to Lovely Nails for 12 years. I have always been content with my nails. Micheal and Anne have been my go to manicurists. They do a detailed job and listen to what you want your nails to be like. Just to add in I am a very obsessive person with my nails and I do not ever leave with complaints. My nails grow very fast and the way my acrylics are done I don't have to go back as often as I do when I have tired out other places due to being out of town. The prices are definitely affordable and the nail salon is clean. The only flaw is the parking lot, there are not enough spaces available for everyone in the shopping center. So I suggest going in a few minutes before the appointment time. I believe for everyone else who has complained about this nail salon it is due to them having over sensitive cuticles or they expected a Beverly Hills experience in a family owned shopping center nail salon. Love Linda and Lee!!! Both of them take great care of my long, natural nails and are great for a gel mani. Lee even did a bit of nail art on my last visit. Both are hilarious and have a great grasp on English which makes for easy conversation and direction. Prices are amazing! Got a gel mani and reg pedi for $40!!! On the westside that's easily a $50-$60 job. Took off 1 star because on my first visit, Linda left my nails a little jagged after filing. So much so, that one began to break. Went back to have it fixed and color changed a week later. I asked for hard gel but Lee insisted that glue and a bit of acrylic powder would hold. Polish looks incredible but the nail re-broke within a few days. Guess I'll be back sooner than I hoped to be. read more

My mum, little sister and I all went to get our nails done. I got a full set of acrylics by Jay (not sure if I spelt her name right) she was friendly, easy to talk to. She was happy enough to change the length of the nails at any point. And since I got my nails cut down quite short it was only $28 dollars. I got coffin shaped acyrlics with 2 colours and glitter. Diane did my little sisters nails, she got a childs manicure. Which was only $10, Marnie says that Diane was nice to talk to and made sure that all her little sticky stars were stuck on securely. My mum got a gel manicure by Tammy which was $24. My mum says that Tammy was very pleasant, skilled at her job and my mums nails and cuticles 'have never looked better!' All of the staff there seemed really nice, amazing prices for what you get, I would definitely go there regularly if I lived there but I live in the uk. I was leaving my dentist's office in Burbank, and I decided to try a new nail place in the area. I consulted with my good friend, Yelp - and I found a few places. The first one I found was completely full & couldn't take me. It was early afternoon on a Friday, so I thought I would beat the rush. I went to the second place on Yelp, which was Lovely Nails. They were very busy but still friendly & welcoming. When I walked in and asked for regular manicure and pedicure they immediately told me that they could take me and to pick a color. Words everyone wants to hear after being shunned from the last place. I made a rookie mistake, I chose a nail polish that was an OPI Essie. Honestly, OPI is the only nail color that truly doesn't chip on me and lasts an entire week. I went with this very bold hot pink color that I thought would make me look tan over the summer. It didn't have an actual brand name so I knew it was kind of cheap. Without even asking, I had my manicure and pedicure done at the same time. I usually always ask for that in order to expedite the time, if they have enough people available. At first, it didn't look like they did so I didn't ask. Magically someone came out of the back to do my toes. It was a very quick process, as they bring the bucket of water to you. It was a classic manicure and pedicure, not spa. Which means you don't get to sit in the seat that massages your back. It was fine, because it was really cheap. I believe my manicure and pedicure was only $35. I left them a $10 tip and was on my way in under an hour. They did a great job on my nails and toes look great. However, I can't blame them... My nails chipped about four days later. I work with my hands a lot, and I also chose a cheap color. They were very kind and efficient. I would recommend this place to my followers and I would also go back. read more

I decided to check out Lovely Nails after being dissatisfied with my regular nail spot. I was able to make an appointment with Lee for the same day. I did not have to wait, Lee was ready with a smile at my appointment time. I was delighted to see a vast array of gel colors. I found the exact color I had in mind when I made the appointment. Lee went above and beyond and recommended a glitter ombre to add to the nail color I chose. It was obvious that Lee is knowledgeable about the current nail trends. Full disclosure I am a nail biter and I can honestly say my nails are probably pretty difficult to work on. I did not feel any discomfort while Lee worked on my nails, which is a nice change. It took her about 50 minutes to complete a full set of gel acrylics, very quick! I have received numerous compliments on them and am looking forward to getting my nails done by her again. First time...AMAZING! I went in on a Saturday at about 6:15pm and they took me right away. Great customer service! I had a great convo with the manicurist. I got coffin shaped nails with a matte nude color (which the manicurist helped me pick) and I loved it! Paid cash and total was about $28 plus tip. Not a fan. I went to Jesse for my manicure and Diana for my pedicure. Very sweet ladies. However, its a hole in the place type of salon. Very basic services are provided. Jesse didn't do a great job on cleaning my nail beds and the surrounding skin to my nails. They don't accept cards, cash only. They should have a sign upfront that says so. The liquor store next door has an ATM. its $2.50 to withdraw cash. Anyways, I was excited because sometimes these hole in the place places are the best, and the prior reviews were not that bad. I came in on march 16 . For a couple of things and I even came in with my mother In law . I got a eyebrows and my mustache waxed for the first time. The lady who was doing it had no patients and seemed in a hurry when she was done I noticed some baby hairs on my eyebrows. I also noticed later when they start working on my nails that she cut my upper lip. The wax to use is not clean because it's making my whole eyebrows break out. When they started doing my nails it was another lady and she cut my fingers on the side with the machine and then she act like she didn't notice. I ended up paying $50 for a shitty job I'm never going back there again the first time was a nice experience with a lovely lady that sings she's not working there no more if there's a owner just please they should be around because they need to take better care of their customers read more

I wanted to try something new but I don't think I will be here again. I got a gel manicure 2 days ago and one of my nails already broke and I had to trim it. I always do gel manicure and I think the lady did 2 very very thin coats. My nails are still very flexible unlike other times at my regular nail salon where my manicure lasts 3 weeks. In only 2 days the manicure I got at lovely nails is already a problem. Not very happy with the results. It's inexpensive which was good but I guess you get what you paid for. Another down side is that they only take cash, so I had to walk to the liquor store to the atm and of course pay a fee to withdraw cash. I think I'll stick to my regular nail salon from now on. read more

I keep getting the same lady so maybe this is why, but she charges me for EVERYTHING. I wanted alternating colors on my nails and she charged me for "nail design". That has NEVER happened to me before at any other nail shop. Same thing with French manicure with two colors. Again, EXTRA nail design on TOP of French tip fee... We called to ask for prices and availability. They said we could walk in. We were actually late to the time we said we would arrive and they still accommodated us. However the price was entirely different at checkout. I was charged 5 more than original. My sisters total was crazy, the nail tech broke her nail and then charged her for the nail repair. It was a little ridiculous. My manicure was uneven and not filed down so the edges were raw. Honestly if not for the broken nail fiasco, the place is ok for the price. This place is an average neighborhood nail salon. I hadn't had a manicure in a while so I really appreciated the time Amy spent prepping my nails. I got a gel manicure which cost me $22. I was annoyed that the color I picked out from the color sticks was not the color they used! I told her during the manicure that I didn't think the pink she was using looked like the beige color I had picked out. She explained to me that sometimes the colors on those color sticks fade and can look dramatically different than the actual product. Yes, the prices are very affordable but some of us care about sanitary conditions and customer service. Sanitary Conditions: They do pedicure in a small tub without putting a bag; they do not wear gloves; they use the same tools on every customer; the store has flies all over and THEY NEVER TAKE YOU ON TIME. You make an appointment for 4:00pm, you're best bet, they'll take you at 4:40pm the earliest. Customer Service: Some of the ladies might be nice but the manager (DIANE) is very very rude and refuses to do service to certain customers even if those customers have always been nice to her and have always generously tipped her. So, if you have problems in this salon, please note that the manager who also happens to do nail service is awful. read more

I should have known better. There was no wait and the price was $33.00 for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. It looked okay at the moment not the best but acceptably ok. I got the gel manicure because I like my nails to last more than a few days and from past experience with gel nails they always last exactly 2 weeks before the first nail starts to chip, but My nails were completely messed up in less than 3 days. never ever before has that happened with a gel manicure. So I don't know what type of gel polish they're using but it must be of the cheapest quality. I would not recommend gel nails here. read more

I have been to a few nail salons but I have only gone out of my way to have my nails done at this specific salon. This is the only place where I can get my nails done and have them not feel like acrylic. Came in today with 3 week old nails that were crappily done by another salon; the nails chipped, the polish chipped, the nails lifted, and the acrylic itself was so thick that it felt like I had plastic finger tips. Today, however, my dignity was salvaged as my boyfriend and I came in for manicures and pedicures. I got a new set of acrylics done with pink gel polish and a gold ombre/ drippy design. (my boyfriend obviously only got clear coats for himself because that's "manly" lol) My toes were done in a matching plain pink. I am beyond satisfied, and so is my boyfriend. I guess you get what you pay for. $8 manicure. A mint color from OPI. The lady asked if I wanted squared or rounded. I said squared. I didn't know that literally meant SQUARE. Like 90* angles. I asked if she could round the corners and she seemed really annoyed and then started talking in Korean and the other people working started laughing. Really not a good way to make me feel comfortable. After she rounded the corners, I saw that there were two nails that were totally slanted. *sigh* So again I had to ask if she could straighten it out. Finally she was able to put the base, polish, and color on. Turned out fine. My nails started chipping the NEXT day. Now, I use my hands (like everyone), but even the pinky and thumbs started chipping (and those are usually the last to go). After three days I had to remove the polish entirely because it just was horrible and cracked all over and looked like rubbish. It's convenient and has ample parking (hence the extra star). Cash only. I'll use my money elsewhere in the future. read more
