Probably my favorite greasy smash burger spot in the city (7th street who?) Charlotte's special is amazing, but I also love their classic cheese burger and patty melt. Honestly everything is amazing. The unique thick fries and beer-battered onion rings are both very good...crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just as they should be. First of all, I was already impressed before I took a bite of the food. Everything was extremely well packaged. Even though the fries & onion rings were just in a coffee cup, nothing fell out. That's cuz of their genius idea to stick the popsicle stick on them. They also contained everything in a cardboard tray like they do at stadiums which was also very smart. Attention to details matter and this was *chef's kiss. Moving on to the food, I don't have burgers very often but this was the best one in recent memory. It was flavorful and perfectly cooked. Loved every element of it. Fries were well seasoned and onion rings were great too. The small coffee cups do hold a sizable amount. I couldn't finish them both. Pro Tip: This type of meal never arrives piping hot and it's the dead of winter rn. So I had a lightbulb moment of preheating my oven at 350 while I waited for the food in case it needed a lil reheating. We walked in, not one of the 3 people working behind the counter acknowledged our presence. This is unacceptable bad service and we didn't appreciate the wait, being ignored as well as having someone be served that came in a well after us.
