Enjoying a walk in Hell's Kitchen and stumbled upon this old fashioned burger joint with delicious smash burgers and grilled hot dogs. Easy menu, great prices. The service was good. Bar stool seating. I highly recommend. My snappy dog was so delicious, smothered in caramelized onions, sauerkraut, mustard and ketchup. Felt like I was at a family bbq.

Wait a second. So gas. We got the Single Cheeseburger, Double Cheeseburger, Patty Melt, and Onion Rings. Get the double patty over the single. The double patty tastes better. Juicy flavored patty. Best onion rings I've ever had. Somehow not too oily and flavored perfectly. A big reason for the five stars. Amazing service. Everything is cooked in front of you. Great spot to end the night.

just as consistent recently as the past few times I've ordered takeout! I'm pescatarian so I'm usually only able to find vegetarian sandwiches at places like this old school style tiny lil diner. And the got the one they have riiiiiight. The Mushrooben (and maybe some curly/sidewinder fries) is all you need. From the menu: PASTRAMI SPICED SHROOMS, KRAUT, CARAMELIZED ONION, DOUBLE SWISS RUSSIAN DRESSING, MARBLE RYE. It's a great portion. The sauce needs no notes. The mushrooms and onions are always perfectly caramelized, and the marble rye holds it all together well. It's one of my favorite sandwiches in the area! big fan of Charlotte's sauce for the fries. I accidentally ordered a chocolate pistachio bundt cake -- long story-- but it was a happy accident. soo fluffy and both flavors shined through. Staff is always hella friendly and work so efficiently. please add an Impossible patty as a substitute option! EDIT: recently tried the Loaded Fries (cheese, Charlotte's sauce, grilled onions). they are messsy and so good. sis loved her burger too

Probably my favorite greasy smash burger spot in the city (7th street who?) Charlotte's special is amazing, but I also love their classic cheese burger and patty melt. Honestly everything is amazing. Pro tip: get the hot peppers on the side, the acidity and spice cuts through the grease and hits so hard! I also love their onion rings and chip fries. The workers here are always friendly and kind. You can also sit at the counter if you want to eat in, but you will smell like burgers after! Worth it IMO!

We needed a quick burger place before catching a show and this was perfect. We got our orders in quickly and luckily there were still some spots to sit. The area is narrow and can get crowded so I don't recommend this for groups but great place if you just need a quick and good burger. Cheeseburger 5/5 Great, solid, classic smash burger. Easily devour-able and not that messy. I would have preferred an option of cheddar cheese but it's still a good burger with good flavor.

Located on the corner of 9th avenue, the location is very convenient. The space isn't too big but it has that comfortable burger joint feel you typically look for. Walking in, the service was attentive and thoughtful. I went towards closing time and there weren't many people so things moved pretty quick. They did confuse the order a bit - giving me bacon when I didn't ask for it, but I'll take it. Overall service and concept is great but I thought the food was lacking. I got the charlotte's burger which sounded like a juicy caramelized burger but in reality it was just overly salty overly crispy overcooked beef patty with not caramelized onions and sauce that didn't taste like anything. The fries were crispy but lacked depth to them - I couldn't really get a good taste of that potato. Maybe I'll try to come order again at another time but for somewhere that was really hyped up to me I was disappointed.

Used a promo they are running through instagram - $10 for cheeseburger and fries. I also ordered onion rings since those seem to be popular. They cost about $7+ with tax. The fries and onion rings were really good. The order of fries could almost be cut in half it's so big. They are thicker cut fries. The fries and onion rings are fried perfectly; you get just the right amount of crispness. The single cheeseburger was okay. You really need a double. There was a lot of mayo on it but no ketchup, which is my preference. They weren't busy when we walked in around 4 on Saturday afternoon but soon after we started eating it got very busy with no seats available. There's about 11 bar seats.

Burgers were amazing. While the onion rings and French fries were both great we could have shared and still had leftovers. The burger prices were in line with other diners, etc. I felt the trend fries, onion rings and drinks were over priced. There is only one counter that has 10-12 seats but I feel it really only fits 9. The staff was very friendly and very efficient.

I got the $10 special on the app , so you get a cheeseburger and fries... I decided to eat inside ! The burger is like a smash burger but the fries were excellent! Fresh and hot out of the fryer! The service is fast, small place limited seating . So eat fast and be gone !

Burger texture was decent, feel like it could've been a little more tender. Fries were fun to eat, but could've used some sort of seasoning. The little amount of salt that was put onto them did nothing for the flavor. Overall a decent spot to pop into for a burger in HK.

Came at 5:30 PM on a rainy Thursday and all of the seating inside was full, but we grabbed the single outside table (protected under an awning) and had a great meal here. Cheeseburger, Sidewinder french fries and beer battered onion rings were all fantastic. I think Gotham Burger Social Club is still my favorite smash burger in town, but Lovely's is on par with 7th Street and other favorites. 4.5 stars.

Very old NYC vibe, even though it's not been around for decades. One counter in a narrow restaurant. Sit on a stool and watch your food get made fresh. Double Cheeseburger: A really good cheeseburger. Not quite a smash burger, but not so thick either, somewhere in between. Lots of gooey cheese on a soft bun. Fries: Love the shape and texture of these. It's Fritos-like in shape so lots of surface area for crunch, but also some soft potato inside. Onion Rings: Pretty standard. Comes out of the fryer piping hot, so be careful when you bite into the crunchy shell and meet the hot slimy onion.

Came here before a Broadway show and I was quite surprised by the food. There isn't many seats in the restaurant but also people eat fairly quickly. You order at the front first before finding a seat. - Cheeseburger - Honestly I didn't think much of the cheeseburger, it was pretty standard and tasted similar to 7th Street. - Onion Rings - Typically I don't order onion rings or fries but after seeing everyone rave about it, I had to try it out and I was not disappointed at all. These were probably one of the best onion rings I had as they were incredibly crispy, almost like a chip texture, not mushy at all. The onions also weren't very stringy so each one could have an adequate bite to it. I felt no need to put on any condiments which was quite amazing. Overall, not bad for a pre-show dinner!

Also, an obvious side note- You wonder how a place that's been open for, I believe, a year and a half has 1500 Google Reviews? It's because they give you a free soda if you write a 5-star review, so I guess if you have a palate for Polar sodas, you can give them a five on that site. If you're going to get anything, go for the tender combo, as their sliders, burgers, and buns are bad. Anyway, it's nice to find a Zabiha Halal spot that serves burgers and other American grub in this neighborhood. I used to frequent somewhat similar spots back in the Arabic neighborhood I lived near in Brooklyn, and it was nice to see this place open a while back. I have tried a handful of things here, and honestly, it's gotten worse every time. The first time, I got the tenders consisting of six pieces for $14, which is honestly very reasonable. The thinner pieces were a tad dry, as the batter had become overly fried, but it's hard to complain about the price point. They also came with a perfectly alright sauce called Mambo, which they list as spicy but is as hot as a spicy McNugget or similar with a light sweetness. The second time, I had the Slider Combo for $7.99, which came with two chicken sliders (spicy if wanted,) fries, and a Polar soda. The fries were honestly nice and better quality than those at any nearby fast-food place. The sliders were dreadful, however. They were dry with overly breaded chicken with no pickles or anything else to help, so I guess that's why it comes with a soda or water. This doesn't help the even worse bun, which was dry as well, and makes a Martin's potato roll look like a Rolls-Royce. The Polar drink was, as expected, a worse Diet Coke. The last time, and the last time I'll ever stop in here, I got the Classic Burger, which is their smash patty with American cheese, holy sauce, lettuce, tomato, and onion. This was the worst burger I've had in ages and easily the worst smashburger, with the meat somehow being dry. I guess the bun was different as it was larger, but also as the top was charred better than the burger meat. Maybe the signature burger for $4 more is better, but I'm never going to stop for it if they're careless enough to burn a burger bun. 3 stars for the chicken tenders due to the deal. 2 stars for the slider combo, as the fries were decent. 0.5 stars for the burger. 2/5

For my entree, I ordered the vodka rigatoni and a side of buttered broccoli. The vodka rigatoni was really good - liked the flavor and a decent size of pasta. The broccoli was really good for some reason to me. Also tried the truffle mac and cheese which was incredibly rich and tasted great. As a dessert, we had the chocolate pie which was dense, rich, and topped with a huge dollop of whipped topping. I really liked the atmosphere of the place, loud roaring 20s style with jazz playing. Plus I kept finding myself checking out the mural on the wall. Try it for yourself - but worth the fight to get a table.
