Came back for another chicken Caesar wrap here at Jacob's Pickles. It is located in the Moynihan Food Hall in the Moynihan Train Hall. They are known for the pickles, but I have a new found love for that Caesar wrap. Fried chicken pieces enrobed in a fresh flour wrap with romaine lettuce and copious amounts of Caesar dressing (if you want extra to/go, just ask). When I tell you one split in half is MORE than enough for two, it really is. The service is good, never a long wait time even though the wraps are prepared as you order. This chicken caesar wrap is GARGANTUAN. Like so insanely massive I was scared to go in on it but wow was this one good wrap. The chicken especially stays so crispy even after taking it to go and not eating it until like 20 mins later. This cool eatery is located in Moynihan Train Station's Food Court in NYC. I had the honey chicken biscuit with pickles. DELICIOUS!!!! The flavorful biscuit has the appearance of corn bread golden brown and square cut, but when I bit into it , it was soft and buttery. The fried chicken breast was very well seasoned with the right amount of sweetness from the honey. Golden brown that was crunchy outside and moist inside. Just the perfect chicken sandwich. Last but not least the "Homemade Pickles". The pickles have a little heat, but not too much, just a crunchy delicious pickle. The biscuits are always just amazing...soft, buttery and fluffy. The service is great and the food selections and portions are extremely generous. The mac n cheese was phenomenal. The chicken was hard and dry. The biscuit was dry and crumbly. The sauce was not Nashville style. The saving grace was that the pickles were actually tasty, but you can't just dump tasty pickles on bad food and expect it to save the day. Like other places here, they act like they were forced to provide a breakfast option. The "Brunchwrap supreme" is not anything similar to the taco bell equivalent. You get a commercial tortilla wrapped around unseasoned eggs, potatoes, cheese, and bacon. You will quickly get bored of this within 2 bites. Maybe the real Jacob's Pickles is tasty, but this location is a trap to capture travelers. read more

The ambiance was great, we were seated quickly, and our waiter greeted us right away. For appetizers, we ordered the calamari, which was delicious. For cocktails, we had a whiskey sour and a spicy margarita--I'd rate the drinks about a 6/10. For dinner, we shared the lobster mac and cheese and the ribeye steak, both of which were excellent (10/10). The reason for my 3-star rating comes down to the experience. At one point, there was an ant on our table, and instead of addressing it properly, the waiter simply smashed it with his finger and commented, "what I hate most about spring is critters," without offering to clean the table or move us. Shortly after, a staff member clearing a nearby table dropped glasses, and liquid ended up in my hair, with shards of glass around and under our table. While I was okay and our server seemed genuinely concerned, the situation wasn't handled in a way that matched the price point. For about $200 for two people, I expected a better overall experience. Stopped by Moynihan Food Hall, after craving the soft serve at Jacob's Pickles. I was specifically craving the pickle and popcorn swirl soft serve, but Jacob's didn't have the pickle flavor.  :-( Instead, I purchased the popcorn and it was VERY GOOD! First off, the item is only $6.00. Secondly, if you're going to indulge, I suggest bringing a friend. My cup had a large helping of the popcorn soft serve and the portion completely satisfied both of us. The attendant suggested adding a topping of sea salt and boy did that elevate the experience. The sweet and salty danced in your mouth and I cannot wait to return, in order to finally enjoy the pickle flavor. Some months ago they seemed to change the recipe for the hand cut fries. If anything, they were better than before. Today, ordered them, they all looked very uniform, and not hand cut, and after tasting them, clearly they are not hand cut. Very normal fries now. I'm a big Mac and cheese fan so I got the classic mac and cheese and the fried pickle spears. The mac was hot, creamy, cheesy, and rich with a nice baked top. I was very impressed. The pickles had a good batter on them and came with a spicy mayo. The flavor was good and they were crispy and hot but i felt like there was too much batter to pickle ratio. The end were mostly batter and it wasn't sticking well to the pickle so there was a lot of air inside between the pickle and batter. One of my favorite stops at Moynihan. Prices are very reasonable and portions are huge! The menu items I've had have all been delicious. They have a great ceasar salad and caesar wrap. Their mac and cheese and french fries are also good. There are also fun menu items like pickle flavored ice cream. The workers are usually friendly and quick about getting items out.
