Rude belligerent cashier kept screaming that we needed to order first while we were waiting for seats to open. I explained to the cashier that we would like to sit down as we were waiting for available seats. The cashier insisted we needed to order before seating and order now. This was at 9:10 p.m. on May 22, 2026. Lovely's was still open for hours. We decided to not reward this employee's rude behavior who felt entitled to make demand of customers and left. I hope management reads this and corrects the problem with this employee. We have been to Lovely's over a dozen times since they have been open and never have we experience such a rude hostile welcome. The employee's attitude was more like that of a bouncer at an urban club. Too bad, as the burgers are good. read more

I popped by this shop a bit ago and completely adored it! It's like stepping back in time. They were playing the 70's!! Chef's kiss! The guys are pretty front facing, welcoming guests and manning the grills. The burger was absolutely delicious. I decided to stay so it was nice and fresh. Super juicy, tender, seasoned so well! If 3.5 stars were an option that's what I would give this. The food is 3 stars. The burger was ok. It was a bit overcooked for me, I would have liked it a little less well done. If you don't like well done burgers be sure to mention that when you order. The fries were delightful, as were the onion rings. Price wise it's very very reasonable, as the sides are big enough to share. We wanted to try both the fries and onion rings and couldn't finish them. As far as seating goes, you're just going to have to wait. We got the last two open stools, it was tight and not very comfortable but you're not meant to linger. It's alright. So I had the special burger with the fried onions and the sauce and asked them to switch out Swiss cheese with the onion rings and the french fries. So first the burger. Phenomenal. Earlier this year while walking down 9th Ave on my way home I notice something different on the corner of 9th and W 45th. There was a group of people just standing in the middle of the sidewalk for some reason. It was occuring everytime I took the route home!
