All of their recent one star reviews made me nervous. But I've only had good experiences with them. I like buying during their black Friday sales. They have 20 or 30% off most brands and they also throw in bonuses each day. I wanted to stock up on my Elta MD sunscreen at a discount. Ordering five bottles entitled me to free skin care worth about $200, from Neocutis, Obagi and colorscience. Some people said that the sunscreen they received was going to expire soon. Lovely skin has a chat button on their website where you can "talk to an actual person." I asked about the specific sunscreen I was ordering and when the expiration dates were. I was told that they would be good until well into 2027. Sure enough, all of the sunscreens expire in May 2027, a good 18 months from now. I'm very happy with my purchase and all of the free gifts I got while getting my sunscreen at a great price. read more

This site is great if you are a customer who spends a ton of money and never has issues with your orders. I once ordered a back-ordered product that I thought would arrive in a couple of months (because that's what their website said at the time of purchase) and ended up taking half a year to fulfill - which I chalked up to vendor issues, but I think Lovelyskin could have handled the whole issue from the get-go better. What broke the camel's back was when I contacted their customer service regarding a purchase asking if something could be done about pricing. I had purchased something during a sale for 20% off and then it went on some early cyber sale 8 days after my purchase for an even bigger discount of 30%. I had spent $150 in that one purchase alone, a 10% difference isn't chump change. The only reason I'd even found out is because I ran out of something else unexpectedly and was going to place another order and saw the new early cyber pricing on their homepage. I thought maybe a store credit or some points could be a possibility as I'd been a pretty good customer for a year now, but not only were they not helpful, but I found their CS Manager condescending. I have been a customer for years. I do recommend them for the great product selection, discounts and samples. BUT, The company has changed since they got bigger. They used to always deliver in 2-3 days, now it's always 5 or more days. They've changed the wording to "2-3 day delivery on "most" deliveries but that's not true. First of all, shipping was slow. When I finally received the 248.69 order, 3 of the products were damaged (see photos). I wanted my money back. It took a couple of calls and emails to have them agree to give me a refund. 8 days after USPS tracking said the package was delivered to them I still have not received a refund. The woman I spoke with today said a partial refund was issued 5 days ago. It still hasn't showed up on my account. She claimed I didn't respond to an email regarding a replacement but I told her it was agreed by email that I would get a full refund. She said she would issue it today. I told her if I didn't see it by the end of the week I would dispute it with the card company and in her words, "I wouldn't do that or it will just delay things further." The absolute worst. Delivery is often delayed and customer service could care less. They use the USPS and it's always screwed up. Then, the company acts like it's not their fault once it leaves their warehouse. Hello, I bought the product from YOU! When you finally call after more than a week not getting your product that's supposed to be delivered in "2-3 days," no apologies, no compensation. They just tell you to wait longer. On April 30, 2025, I received a shipment of EltaMD UV Sport Broad-Spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen. Upon inspecting the product, I noticed the expiration date is March 2026 -- less than 11 months from the delivery date. I have purchased EltaMD sunscreens for many years and am well aware that they typically have a shelf life of two to three years. In fact, LovelySkin's own website confirms this: "Yes, EltaMD sunscreens have a shelf life of roughly two to three years." Given this standard, receiving a product that will expire in under a year is disappointing and not aligned with customer expectations -- especially when ordering from an authorized and reputable seller such as LovelySkin. When I contacted customer service, I was told I could either accept a $4 credit or return the product at my own expense. I believe this is unreasonable. I did not receive a product that meets the shelf-life expectations as stated on their own website, and I should not be penalized by having to pay return shipping for something that, in my opinion, is a misrepresentation. I have requested that LovelySkin cover the return shipping costs and provide a full refund for this order. I contacted customer service via email and 2 calls and they could really care less, beware of this seller and their short shelf-life products. This store used to be dependable, but has increasingly had delivery issues. You cannot count on your product being delivered in a timely fashion. Several times in the past year my order has been delayed in shipping. The last time I ordered it was 2 weeks when I realized I hadn't received it. When you spend $200 on expensive products, you expect better service. Luckily I remembered I didn't receive the order. Otherwise, they probably would have just pocketed my money. I've been a loyal online customer of this company for around 7 years. They are authorized retailers of high quality items some of which may otherwise only be available through a dermatologist's office. They have great prices, frequent promotions to help with cost and deluxe/large sample offers with purchase, they ship quickly AND have a generous rewards program. One time I had a problem with the pump on an item I ordered and they shipped out a replacement ASAP. I bought a Hairmax Ultima 12 Laser Comb here in 11/2023 knowing that Lovely Skin is an authorized retailer for Hairmax. I was able to get a small 20% discount due to the holidays which persuaded me to try it. Any progress with alopecia has to be measured in months. I used it for 5 months with no discernible gains and found the beeping noise to be irritating when trying to use it. I was unable to return it b/c Lovely Skin has a 30 day return policy and does not honor the Hairmax 6 months return guarantee. I wish that I had bought this from Hairmax considering how long you have to do a trial to see hair growth progress. When I originally scheduled my facial, I was supposed to be in the same office as Dr. Schlessinger (opposite side of the street). However, due to a last minute scheduling issue I was moved to the retail shop, which still offers spa services. My VERY strong recommendation is that if booking a facial you insist you are in the doctor's office. While there is a room for facials to be performed in the retail location, the walls do not go to the ceiling which means I could hear the commotion going on in the retail store. Additionally, because the walls do not go to the ceiling, the room was not darkened, but very bright. There was calming music and being that I was in on a Monday not much activity was happening on the retail side, but it was still an annoyance. Basically, I would cancel unless I was in doctor's offices. I am still keeping my review high because the facial I received was excellent, included a wonderful massage and treatment with some essential oils. Some of the bad reviews seem fake in my opinion but when you have a company as great as LS and a owner whose a fabulous doctor and plastic surgeon, you will have jealous haters. All you have to do is try them out and you will laugh at the bad reviews just like I do. I've referred so many people to LS over the years and not one of them has ever had a issue with the products or customer service. If you dislike a product you can exchange it or return it. They give you three returns each year but I think their policy is about to be updated. My advice if your unsure about what to order, just chat with them and they will help you pick out something that's perfect for your skin so you won't need to return it.
